Is it possible to switch from 8.12.20 global beta pie based for mi 8 to 10.0.2.0 oreo based via built in updater. My bootloader is locked. Will i have any anti roll back issue or it's safe? Ideally i would like to switch directly to pie based 10.1.1.0 global stable but miui downloads provides link only to 10.0.2.0 global stable. Thank you in advance.
I am on 10.1.1.0 but this rom is not good working. And I want to move global beta. So my advise is that stay there or you will be sorry

1. is it worth to go from miui stable global to xiaomi.eu stable or beta? - YES, it's multi-language, almost no bloatware. just read the eu rom description to appreciate.
2. can you do it with locked bootloader thru updater? - NO
my mix 2 have gone from miui 8 stable global to xiaomi.eu 8 stable to xiaomi.eu 9 beta. this happened because its bootloader was unlocked while in miui 8 stable global.

Perfect i just see that EU stable have different numbers of version but is it the same stuff as in global?
I had many issued with MIUI9 beta. Switched back to XiaomiEU 8.5. anyways unlock bootloader first.
Anyone know when the Mi Mix will get MIUI 9 global stable OTA update . I got an update yesterday updating me to MIUI 8.5.4.0. It's still android 6 and had changed the look of my icons . Anyone know how I can change the icons back?
What are you guys on??
Unofficially there's Epic and Eu Roms - I think there is also the Chinese developers version too.
Switched from Global 8.5.4.0 to Eu 7.9.14 - pretty much good to go so far.
I'm on 8.5.4.0 global, as well
Rumors set the release of global stable MIUI 9 around end October/early November, but go figure...
On the other hand xiaomi.eu is already releasing weekly 'global' ROMs based on MIUI 9 so there's choice [emoji41]
MIUI 9 is already available for mix in beta branch... and global version too... but yes, xiaomi.eu use chinese dev branch to introduce all feature with "global" support...
Hello
i've a Mi 8 global version (locked bootloader, waiting the time to unlock) with the last Global Stable rom 10.0.2.0 (Oreo). I'd like to switch to the developer rom version (Pie) but i get an error and i can't do it. So the question is: can i come back to miui 9 latest stable rom and then swith to developer one? If yes, how? Thank you for the answers
I am currently using Xiaomi EU stable 10.2.16 (which is really outdated). Can I dirty flash the newest EU weekly? Does it have any problems?
+ If anyone knows when Stable will be updated ?
Yes, you can, but cannot revert back to official without formatting. At least for me it didn't
Hello.
Good day to everyone.
I got the mi 11 ultra Chinese version and I flashed the MIUI 13. Before it had global stable 12.5. (i bought it with that rom preinstalled and unlocked).
I installed the MIUI 13 china because I use Google pay and I wanted a locked rom but i Iive in Europe so Its very frustrating to set up the Chinese version. I want a phone for everyday use but i didn't know that It was china version and I couldn't use Google pay when I bought it.
The phone is Chinese MIUI 13 locked totally as stock.
I want to unlock and go back to MIUI 12 either on global or eea rom. Which one u suggest. I read about Xiaomi eu rom but I don't want to mess up with my phone Everytime I have to update it except if Xiaomi eu rom update itself like global or eea rom.
What u think?
And how to do it?
unlock bootloader then flash xiaomi.eu stable version (miui 13) , you can search and follow instructions on xiaomi.eu
Very stable for me
