I've been searching and searching for a way to root my l Vivo XL3Plu and so far have only come up with instructions to install TWRP With qualcom flash software - the instructions replace the recovery.img in a Stock ROM file with the TWRP.img and the flash the phone. We don't have the stock ROM but I think I found a clone that might work (wiko XL plus) I've downloaded all the required files to test this. As I only have one phone to try it on I can't afford to fail. So I'm asking if anyone who has already bricked their phone would want to try this method of restoring functionality back to their phone and have TWRP installed..as wel as maybe be able to install Magisk and root it too. Pease contact me and I will upload and send link to so you can give it a go. (all files, drivers, software, and instructions zipped - 1.99 Gb)
Download Zip file :
https://my.pcloud.com/publink/show?c...uD5JoOfHB5aHwy
I have searchd other boards and have found several posts about successful fixws using the Wiko stock rom to fix bricked Blu Vivo XL3 Plus phones...some users and found that the camera and the music player will cause a reboo when used but several users dont have that problem..Either way if your bricked YOU CAN FIX your phonet
Has anyone successfully rooted and or installed TWRP to thi phone?

Hi all ,
This problem is facing very one how install kingroot and made his/her device rooted with kingroot , the root is done will , but after Root we can receive ota updates but when we download and install the ota update a problem found :
Unexpected error : install-recovary.sh status 7
I have trying to make full un-root by kingroot , or superus and nothing fixed until now !!!
Some people told me that you must install stock-rom !?
But why stock-rom if there is better and easy solution ?
I need your help developers I guess this problem not hard one for you ^_^ .
So who is the hero that's will save the day
Thanks.
As I've told you, you need the stock install-recovery.sh for your device (LUZ17x or LUZ59x?)
Everything else it way too complicated! (You will need an unlocked Bootloader, modded stock-recovery or TWRP, patched updater-script, etc...)
But it seems, nobody here is willing to pull the file (or even better a stock system.img) from their device.
I forgot to pull a system.img before rooting, so I can't help.
Seems, that there is unfortunately no real active community in Thailand or Turkey (apart from the language barrier), when it comes to these devices.
At least until now.

if you want update then why u rooted your device? this is the basic thing you have to keep in mind before root you device that you cant install OTA if your device is rooted or any thing is changed into the system(i.e. cant be done without root).
The people telling you about installing stock rom, is the best and last solution according to me... search the net you will surely find the stock rom and its procedure to install as well...
Best of luck with searching and flashing the stock rom:good:

If you don't have a backup of that file (either made by yourself or the rooting software you have used), then 'unrooting' cannot help. That file is gone.
I went through @Sadronis's LUZ17E rom dump, extracted install-recovery.sh and attached it for you. But next time, please remember to backup the original file before rooting since especially for non-Nexus devices, stock ROMs (and thus files inside them) are not easy to find.

Yes, you have to mount /system as "rw", for example:
Code:
adb remount

Hi,
First post on here. I have bought the SM-N9200 in China after my Z3 screen broke for the second time. I live here (china) at the moment but did not realise that you would be unable to install google play services and therefore google play on the phone. I have a fair few apps purchased on GP and would like them on my phone.
I have read that I would need to have root access prior to being able to install GP but I am running into problems. I have never rooted before even though I was aware of the process etc but have so far been unsuccessful using kingoroot and I cannot seem to find a root method for the Chinese n9200. I saw today that the spaceX kernel supports N9200 so I thought that I would flash twrp with odin and then consider flashing spaceX. However when I try and flash TWRP it fails and the phone displays a message in Chinese that I cannot read as my Chinese is not that great still.
I am not in a hurry to install a custom rom at the moment and mainly just want to be able to get my apps. Can anyone suggest a method? is it possible to install HK Rom onto Chinese n9200 for example?
Many thanks

To flash in Odin you need to enable OEM unlock in Developer Settings.
I tried installing Chinese on HK and it failed (Cache.img)
OEM unlock and USB debugging are on. Odin was run as Admin.
If you try flashing the wrong TWRP (i.e not for your phone) will it fail or will it still flash. I was trying to TWRP for the DUOS version which i am assuming is my phone as DUOS is the dual sim variant?
I will get a chinese friend to tell me what the message is and take a photo of what happens.
Essentially i boot into DL mode and then attempt to flash when the bar fills up the odin still says recovery but the screen on the phone gives me warning (triangle with exclamation) and some information including a the web address for samsung.com/cn
I can help with that Chinese message. There are some problems for you to use GP in China. First, you can use Odin to install HK (TGY) Rom( remember to backup before u do so). After you install HK Rom, you need to connect to a VPN and then go to Google settings.
Hope these info would help you.
Possible solution found in another thread. it seems that the bootloader is locked on some devices and therefore you cannot flash anything.

One question. What would be the difference between the HK and Chinese versions of N9200 other than some restrictions. Is it safe to use guides like the one linked for a chinese version?

TGY is the name for HK ROM. You can find it on samsung-updates. Both Mainland and HK variant share the same specs, which is N9200.
SUCCESS!
So after much stress I have a rooted, TWRP'd, Romd N9200 Chinese version. I say stressed as I had some problems when i flashed TWRP in that it would not let me boot back into the stock rom. this leads me to one unanswered question. When flashing TWRP with ODIN is it a requirement to flash a new rom?? I say this as I had the following problem. When I first flashed twrp the phone booted into stock so I rebooted into recovery only to find stock recovery and no twrp. I checked that the KNOX counter had been tripped (it had) but I was confused. I read on twrp website that on some devices if you let phone reboot into stock after twrp flash rom it overwrites custom recovery. I eventually flashed twrp and quickly pressed key combination for recovery and I had twrp but then I could not boot into stock rom (bootloop).
After spending the afternoon in a state of panic I reflashed the stock rom from Sammobile and was back in business. crisis over and a bit of confidence gained.
I am now using SpaceX kernel following this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/note5/development/kernel-spacex-pure-edition-stock-t3236317
so far no problems so thanks to @Manh_IT
Here is my step by step if anyone finds themselves in same position:
1) unlock OEM and USB Debugging and backup everything using SmartSwitch (this replaced Kies I believe)
2)download CROM apk from Samsung appstore to unlock bootloader
3)Download SpaceX, SuperSU.apk, Gapps and twrp and place all except twrp onto phone memory
4)Flash TWRP with ODIN and reboot into recovery using method described above if need be.
5)factory reset in twrp
6)flash SpaceX and Gapps
7)reboot system and install SuperSU
I hope this helps someone.:good:
Anyone rooted in n9200 with latest OKA firmware?
actually you don't need to root your device...
just make sure OEM unlocked and find a HK version stock ROM and install it with Odin

well if you use N9200(CN)...you can follow the steps to get gapps
Once you use Crom.apk, you lose your warranty , so DON'T use CROM to unlock the phone
Make sure OEM unlocked
Reset to factory in case of some issues
Turn off the phone
Take the sim out of the phone
Get into download mode
Plug to PC and use ODIN to flash the HK stock ROM.
gapps will be install , no root, and you wont lose you warranty , but the battery saving is not as good as CN version.
I have gapps on my note 5 n9200

Hi I'm very new to android rooting but after loosing my brand new lg g4 I bought a k3 note to have a play with, I have rooted it using the kingroot app and installed trwp custom recovery with another app my problem is the ROMs I have tried to flash fail? Gapps is fine and installs but the cm 12 ROM from rootjunky fails every time anyone have any ideas? As I said this is my first rooting so I'm probably missing something simple! Thanks for any help
refer this thread on xda forums http://forum.xda-developers.com/k3-note/general/organized-thread-lenovo-k3-note-k50-t3158522
you will get the necessary help there
@Bigbainy Don't install cm12 from rootjunky instead go to index thread by @hackerpower he have every solution and he had made a list of roms plus there are backups by hackerpower too... Or u can to www.needrom.com for latest k3 note roms or there are chinese forums too like bbs.ydss.cn
Thanks guys I downloaded hacker power cm ROM and it flashed successfully but when I rebooted the phone just went back to stock ?
Got it sorted now flashed cwm recovery and the ROMs install fine now

Hello friends,
As many of us know this but when i was searching no one told me...and i found this from too many forums and posted here if it is helpful someone.....
As you guys know that if you have unlocked bootloader officially then even after relocking bootloader the OTA functionality does not work..Asus server blacklist your phone serial number and imei so you cant receive any OTA...
There are several methods if you want to update
1) download full firmware from asus site (~around 1.5 GB for single version) place it to internal storage and reboot phone.
2) via fastboot method but here there are no all versions are available as fastboot rom. Refer this thread for that : https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...ow-to/guide-revert-to-stock-rom-lock-t3798420
3) download ota file and install through stock recovery by adb or sd card.
BUT IF WANT TO GO SOME PERTICULAR VERSION LIKE 337 OR 050 AND WANT TO STAY AT THAT VERSION THEN BY FULL FIRMWARE VERSION IT IS VERY DATA CONSUMING.
INSTRUCTIONS:
=>Just simple trick is just download OTA file from links provided below.
=>Place that file to the root directory of internal storage of phone.
=> Rename that file from WW_Phone-15.2016.1810.334-20181019-WW_Phone-15.2016.1810.337-20181106_fota.zip to UL-ASUS_X00T-WW-15.2016.1810.337-user.zip ( taking .337 version as reference just do rename as like above not same...if yo want to go from 334 to 337)
=> Just reboot your phone and you will see update notification...click on that and your phone will update as like officially you download ota and ota installs...
REMEMBER ONE THING YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE SEQUENCE OF UPDATE AS THEY RELEASED BY ASUS....YOU CANT GO DIRECTLY FROM 334 TO 340 WITH THIS TRICK YOU HAVE TO DOWNLOAD 337, 338,339 AND 340 OTA FILES...FIRSTLY INSTALL 337 THEN 338 THEN 339 AND LAST 340...
OTA VERSION SEQUENCE
.334
.337
.338
.339
.340
.050
.053
.056/.057
.058
There are some old versions but 334 fastboot rom available so i not included them.

.340 is last version of oreo
Maybe this should also work in unofficially bootloader unlock and relock but i not tested it...i done bootloader unlock by officially method and relocked through fastboot method to .340 and from then i updated to .337->.338->.339...but it will work for all next version.....you can also do full firmware method-1 at any stage as mentioned on above....

Most rooted users never use stock rom so they'll read this but never get to use it. Still.. thanks.
Hi,
I'm really new to rooting phones, and decided to root my OnePlus 3t. I used this tool (https://forums.oneplus.com/threads/...very-drivers-bootloader-32-bit-64-bit.590277/) after unlocking the phone to root. TWRP was installed without a hitch so I went ahead to install Magisk beta. It gave me "error-1" or something like that, so I googled how to fix it and found out you had to use a boot.img file and flash the img file using twrp. I didn't have one and didn't know where to get one, so I googled and downloaded this (https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...-force-encryption-patched-boot-image.3618232/). I realized that I got the wrong boot.img from here, needed the Android Pie one as my phone is fully updated to that version. What do I do to fix this? If possible, is there a way without flashing the stock rom?
Nvm fixed it ( this thread helped https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/flashed-wrong-boot-img-going-through-bootloop.1711081/)
