Hello Guys,
I'm wondering if anyone is using a sound mod like viper or something else.
I've just update to official pie so any suggestion?
Do I need to root the phone ? My phone is only unlocked bootloader with official twrp

Will the xposed framework work on a root android one phone? Specifically the gravity box mod? Has someone installed the xposed framework on a stock android one rom?
My phone is kind of a daily driver, so just checking to see if some one already has done this and their experience if any.

It works perfect. I've been using the gravity box mod for quite a few days now and it works extremely well without any issues. I'm using stock android one ROM and have faced no issues so far.

Thanks guys. Based on feedback went ahead and rooted stock ROM. Got xposed installed and gravity box running.
Did not loose data as I did not unlock boot loader. So app data remained, which is what I wanted.
Overall, I would recommend anyone with this phone to go with xposed framework.
What are the other modules that you guys are finding helpful apart from gravity box?

Ex kitkat themer is another great module for getting better UI . Then there are others like xprivacy Bluetooth unlock toolkit android tuner (this one is an app and module combined in one) and is very useful . These are the ones i can remember now . Scroll through the list to discover others that you need. Hope this helped

Yes I did. Flashing the zip through recovery gets my phone stuck at boot animation and I have to restore a backup to get the phone back to normal.
Hi guys
I have just received my new Oneplus 3t and i have few questions about Nougat.
Can I do the update if i want flash Twrp and Root or it's better to stay on MM ?
Thanks.
Flash twrp, root, and stay on mm

The only reason you should stay on MM is for Xposed. Personally my 3T used to get a lot heated during normal tasks. Even after replacement also the issue was there. So I updated to Nougat 4.0.2 and its been perfectly normal. This was my experience, might be different for others.

Nope Xposed for Nougat in a WIP. It depends on android version, ROM doesn't matter.

youtube background playback is now possible without xposed but you need root and lucky patcher though.

That is exactly what I did. I received my OnePlus 3T about a week ago. I left it completely stock and did the normal OTA update. Once the device was up to current OxygenOS and most recent Android security patch level, I unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP 3.0.4.1, flashed SuperSU while in the initial TWRP recovery to avoid the dm-verity problem, made a backup immediately, then rebooted the system.
All is well with the world!
My only question now is this. Do I stay where I am, or am I supposed to update TWRP to 3.1.1.0? Since I haven't found concete evidence that doing so is a stable thing to do, I will stick with what I have right now. This seems to be the best scenario at this point.

Hello,
Using Z3compact with Xperience Rom v10 (customized latest sony firmware) which is rooted (supersu) and xposeed installed (v83).
I want to ask, how to do it:
1) uninstall supersu app and xposeed app
2) flash magisk
thats all?

Sounds too simple, doesn't it?
That really is all there's to it... You could probably keep your Xposed installation, but there are some nice systemless Xposed modules available for Magisk.
I have seen a few reports of users struggling a little with some Sony devices though, so make sure you have a backup before starting.

Hi, i was wondering which one is superior and if so why?
I see people installng both , isn't one of them enough? Or am i missing something here.
I currently have atmos installed on nitrogen oreo 8.1 on shamu.
Thanks
I use both on my OP3T and they work quite well together.
Edit: and since the latest update to the Unity V4A Magisk module, also on my Nexus 6.

Now that we have TWRP for our devices, has anyone successfully installed a working version of Viper4Android? None of the Magisk modules were working previously. Hate listening to music without it

Why don't you try installing a V4A zip file and come back with the result?
have your test viper4android with magisk root installer ?
I have tried every version available, unfortunately no luck. Will offer donation to anyone getting it working.

Have you tried along with busybox+SElinux mode changer installed?
Also have you tried to flash from twrp?
Tried it all. Apparently its something todo with the Emiu OS. Also Selinux switching not working in Oreo apparently. Do you have it working?
emui is a piece of crap
honestly, if i cant get AOSP working on this phone im hopping on the O+6 bandwagon.
I may regrettably sell it also, I have niticed a few Android phones lately getting like IOS with the inability/difficulty to install custom apps and tweaks.
still no one has succeeded? I wait before buying it, it's essential for me ..
have you test this ?
