All the roms and kernels say use at own risk all the modes too. Is a rule about dev protection. Before many months i try this https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/development/port-lineageos-14-1-note8-exynos-t3685171 he have many bugs like fingerprint, camera no work. The 80% of the rom i bad. And is a discontinued rom. Go to resurrection remix google plus site. And ask your questions. You will take an answer from the devolepors. Here the rr rom is dead for a many months. I dont know if anyone can help you here because no rr officialy exist. Better to choose from the alive roms and up to date roms. If you want daily rom and stable, is clearly not the rr this rom. RR roms is my favorite roms But no luck with Note 8.
I love RR roms too. Many of my phones run RR roms for a many years. Expect Note8 and Note 5. I agree with Amaranth. Go to ask into Google Plus. This rom looks old and outdated. Looks dangerous for the Note8. You will face many issue like unstable battery, drain, bootloops.

Im tired of seeing these Note 7 roms and I want to relive these Cyanogenmod days but Cyanogenmod is dead. Is there a possibility that there is a way we can get developers to build a rom for the superiour Note 4? I like Lineage OS because of its OTA function that releases bug fixes and updates. Im not offending anyone or anything... Its just not my taste. Thanks
I second this. I think the closest were going to get at this point is https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/development/emotionos-t3528639

It seems too buggy but if we are begging around XDA probably a team will join and build it. Soooo lets do that.
It's this unofficial build, which it's currently on my note 4.
www.androidbiits.com/t-mobile-samsu...id-7-1-1-nougat-lineageos-14-1-unofficial-rom
But I have problems with network recognition.
It doesn't read my sim card.

the latest [ROM] [7.1.1] EmotionOS by hsbadr https://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-verizon/development/emotionos-t3528639 works perfectly fine on the N910T tmobile version note 4. everything works...dont see how u can say its buggy, when i dont see any noticable bugs from the LATEST hasbrs build. be sure you are on the marshmallow bootloader and you wont have any problems.
I was wondering why there aren't any stock Google ROMs or Cyanogenmod (now Lineage OS) builds for the Note5. Does anyone know?

Hello? What is there to actually download and flash onto your phone from that site?? Seems like dead links and a flame war about obvious Kangs.
Were you showing him it existed at some point? So he can have hope for nothing? Lol.
Dear OP, head on over to AndroidFileHost and lookup your new best dev friend Rainbow_Dash.
Enjoy!

Yeah, the alpha build 1 of Cm 13 is awesome. Just has a few bugs that Rayman has fixed just awaiting the new build now. We also have an Miui rom. Mynogen never heard of that one.

How is CM13? I'm considering a Note 5 but previous phones with Samsung jank/lag have scared me away from Samsung. I've also heard the Note 5 has severe battery issues for some. Does CM13 fix these issues? Thank you!
This is purely based on my experience and opinion. I have used every single rom for our device from xda. The rom that adore most is the huawei noughat emui b336. pure speed and optimised battry life is wonderfull a device working eith every functionality is what you get. when comparing with cm13 and 14 builds its much more stable and reliable. i was on oem c636 flashed c432 europe and flashed noughat from meticulus twrp emui4.1.
Cool. Though at this point one might aswell just wait for OTA nougat
I don't dare to install Lineage or Cm13 because I want a stable phone. I previously asked in another thread which problems the Lineage OS has. I could not find the Log File of Meticulus which shows the problems. Maybe someone can tell some problems of lineage os so the decision of installing it would be easier. Thanks a lot.

I tried Lineage and had a bootloop because of substratum themes...after that i flashed RR build and i`m very happy with it. The battery life is not extraordinary...5h SOT. For my needs it`s very good...no big bugs or something like this...
Again for my needs I can say that it`s pretty stable...
At the moment, stock is best. EMUI4.1 at that. Give it another 2 months or so, by then we should have stable custom roms, that being said, try the Paranoid Android ROM, it's good but has some bugs with dual SIM unless otherwise stated by the developer in the thread.

that would be awesome, but i think custom roms won't be much more stable unless huawei releases their source code
At this point , stock rom is the best. Unfortunately because Huawei has not released and i do belive will not realease the sources for this model , all custom roms based all on Lineage OS or AOSPA will have bugs and high battery usage, without hope of real solving...because the code is always changing and as some problems are apparently solved other will rise up.
Please can anyone help me to find which is the best andriod pie rom for redmi 4x santoni ....
I want a rom which is stable and have best battery backup.......i m very confused please help .....
just a day before you were asking same question about Oreo and now same asking for Pie, are you sure you are not wasting users time here.
thread link https://forum.xda-developers.com/xiaomi-redmi-4x/help/custom-rom-t3873216
what is your purpose of making same thread with just changing it it oreo to pie?

Okay, sounds fair enough. The thing is that you'll have to flash ROMs on your own to check what is better for you.
I'll recommend you to open ROM section of Redmi 4X and and in new tab open YouTube and check and compare what suits for you because everyone has different choices and usage.
For me this ROM works great in terms of battery backup, performance and features (which is important to me)
Oreo based...
Resurrection Remix
dot OS
Havoc OS (ignore final build it has random reboot issue)
Pie based...
Arrow OS.
Havoc OS(using currently and it has good battery backup)
crDroid
Waiting for dot OS
The rom that u have named above are very customized i want a stock like experience rom .......and whats ur thought about lineage os as compared to above roms?

Okay, go for Arrow OS then it has very limited customisation and it is close to stock Android You can check its UI and review on YouTube.
I haven't tried lineage OS (both Oreo and Pie) I like feature full of ROM which is can customize the way I want so I can't say anything about lineage OS but it you can check its thread for more details and it's stability, battery backup and bugs related stuff.

I don't get what you want exactly?
Custom roms are usually based on lineage OS and they get modified further by different rom developers and rom community.
There's currently no official Android pie based lineage OS available as I am writing this comment, however there's lineage Oreo ROM available which is nightly build.
If you only want to flash lineage OS then flash it. Pie ROM unofficially available flash it if you want to. They do get updated once developers avails it.
Also I did not get why are you sharing this stuff here, I think it's irrelevant.
There's also many other roms gives ota's and IMO it doesn't matter much if it's ota's or not. One can flash it manually. Only benefit is we get to know new update is available.
Wait for lineage OS pie official or flash Oreo based official lineage OS.
Seriously decide first what you want, I've given much of my time I think it won't be possible for me to do.

You'll find several custom roms official ones and unofficial ones.
Official ones are supported by its rom community and developers here help each other to build builds. you'll often see in credits that several rom community and developers helped to build it.
Unofficial ones are those builds which individual developer(s) built it on their own time they might have taken help from other developers (individual or from community)
XDA is most trusted among android enthusiast website. i can't say anything about other websites.
Custom roms needs to uploaded on their own website or some other cloud storage such as Gdrive, androidfilehost, sourceforge. usually this are download pages you'll be directed to.
If there is any other community or website i can't say anything about it.
Your discretion is advised in such cases.
For your information i've never had any issues with links shared on xda.
it is hard work from developers and community which avails custom rom to us which i appreciate and same goes to XDA.
If any case you are skeptical do not proceed, but it is better than that Xiaomi's MIUI which where they clearly said we will use user data and process it and data will send to their servers.

Yes, no problem but do explain briefly your issue if there's any.
You can post here on XDA users helps each other and there are many users who has much more knowledge than me they should also help you out.
I own my max2 since 1.5 years now. It is unlocked.
I use Mi globe rom which is really stable.
But with updating from miui 8 to 9, i had the feeling, that 9 is slower, than miui8 (I know that miui said it Would be faster, than 8)
Since some days, I use miui 10 now.
Also at Mi globe rom.
But the same here, miui 8 is faster than 10, too.
The newer roms based on the known devs like Lineage on Android 8 and 9 seem to have some bugs, which nobody can fix 100 %.
So this is no option to me.
So of i try another rom, it has to be based on Nougat to use All Features of my device correctly. Maybe on top with a better camera software, that doesnt autofocus permanently like in miui.
Can someone Tell me, which one, is the most stable and fastest android7 based non-miui rom? The number of roms is that much..... To much to test them all
If there is non of the ones at xda, i Would think about going back to miui8 based Mi globe rom, which i still have a nandroid Image saved
I know that security patches Would be worse then...
Thanks alot

That's exactly what I want to know.
Imho should the developers first fix all bugs and after this is ready then going to newer Android bases, like from 8 to 9....
Only because a base version is newer, doesnt automatically mean that it is better. And more bug free.
When bugs are in elemental features like doing a phonecall, this is absolutely non accetable to me.
Hope this doesnt sound to hard, because I really appreciate the work of the devs.

really? like what? i just switched to ArrowOS and havent seen anything out of the ordinary. admittedly, only been on it for a day, but so far its stable. also keeping tabs on all the Pie ROM threads (to keep the index thread up to date ) all "bugs" reported by users so far have been due to user error, i.e. using wrong TWRP, dirty flashing, using excessive amounts of mods (substratum, magisk modules, audio enhancements, etc.).
viperOS 3.1.1 + hardrock kernel 20.2 ?
tried the 3 GHz hardrock Kernel?
Maybe a little bit too much, for the hardware
Looking for same...
