There is no developer in the world that can develop gcam mod without camera2 api enabled on any phone.
Developer can make some gcam mod stable for daily use on specific mobile phones, but it cannot do what you ask or think.
You (we) need to:
1. ask or pray for Xiaomi to enable camera2 by default, and then
2. wait for some good heart developer to make a stable (v6) gcam mod for our phone.

Hello,
That I have done and seems have worked is the following :
1) launch camera, go in the settings (plus > parameters ) and click on the "save settings" in the "general" part. A GCam folder will be created at the root of the "Mi A2" device. The .xml will be there.
2) You close the app and overload the .xml by the one downloaded.
3) You relaunch the app, double tap on the black part of the screen, and select the .xml you have just loaded.
That should be ok.

Thanks. I have installed your shared Gcam port and compared the photos taken from the stock camera and ported Gcam. I could not believe the same phone took both pictures. This has totally changed my perception of Camera Software. I wish I had this port in my recent vacations.
Though, I have a custom Pixel 3XL ROM, TWRP with Camera2API Level 3 Support on Mi A2. However, my next phone will be the one that has native support for Camera2API.

? Enable multi window
thank the fellow @ Juanro49 who created the way to work for the Ascend g7 whose tute copy and paste with the adaptation of the cust route for B564 v2 ROM and a video of the multi-window of pecholite in action.
Link to original thread http://www.htcmania.com/showthread.php?t=1200062
Enable Dualwindows in EMUI 3.1 or higher
Good, because I have discovered how to enable MultiWindow (coming from marshmallow) in lollipop. To do this we need to be root.
The steps are as follows:
1. Download this zip and unzip. https://mega.nz/#!Gk5CEDBA!uOc74NmVe...XhHtAtq8HhJvJ8
2. Move the "HwMwLauncher" folder in / system / apps and give permissions rwxr-xr-x (755) and click in not scoring run in files (see screenshot).
3. Move the "multiwindow_whitelist_apps.xml" file to our CUST, in my case it would be / cust / CMCC / cn / xml
If you do not know what it is, we move it to / data / cust / xml and give permissions rw-r - r-- (644).
3. Open the build.prop is in / system with a text editor and add the line "ro.huawei.multiwindow = true" if we do not.
4. Reboot and ready.
regards
It works fine, only one problem is when i exsit the multiwindow (in the picture) is there a solution !??

Two possible reasons...
Whitelist.xml is not un the correct folder nor has good permissions
Or you need to add apps to your whitelist.xml I am investigating into it because is difficult to make it work.
I will post a how to do when solution found. Be patient, I don't have lot time to do it.

You have a L23 converted to L21 right?
By the way... put xml file under data/cust/xml and give permission 644 and reboot.
You'll see how your list of apps grows to around 50-60.

You have to create a new folder ?*nside data called cust and ?*nside cust anoher called xml and put the whitelist ?*nside.
Please, come back with feedback
Hi thanks for this! But unfortunately. Im also seeing few apps that is compatible for multi window. I also tried to create a cust folder in data, but it won't coz there is already a cust file inside of it. I really like this feature, I hope we can figure it out on where to put the .xml file. Im using sokkoban rom. Have a great day!

How to enable multi window on marshmallow? I tried option for this in developer settings but it doesn't work (there's no button to split screens or I don't know where is it).
Also tried this way from this thread, but it doesn't work as well. There is no button for this like it is in the video.

Hello Community!
To use Google camera with HDR+ support for Lenovo P2, You can achieve it in two methods:
1) Build.prop method:
Go to build.prop and add the following line without quotes
"persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1".
OR
2) Magisk module :
Either flash through twrp or add through magisk manager. File is in Attachments.
Then install google camera app. https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962021903579488245

Greetings from Russia. Is there a positive result to run hdr +? Thank you.

Hey guys,
This guide is to learn how to enbale iPhone X gestures on supported Mi Phones.
Requirements - Either root or Magisk
Method 1 ( Requires root access ) :
go to your build.prop file located at /system/build.prop and edit the following code
Code:
[B]qemu.hw.mainkeys=1[/B]
change it to this
Code:
[B]qemu.hw.mainkeys=0[/B]
If the code doesn't exist in your build.prop then add the required line ( qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 ) at the bottom of build.prop
Now reboot the device and go to settings. You will see new option ''Full Screen Display''. This is the option where you can enable the iPhone X Gestures on supported Mi Phones.
Method 2 ( Root not required but requires Magisk ) :
Download the attached magisk module and flash in either twrp recovery or via Magisk app itself and reboot the device. You will see new option ''Full Screen Display'' in settings. This is the option where you can enable the iPhone X Gestures on supported Mi Phones.
Hit Thanls if you like my work.
The Gestures work very well
but i noticed after this the miui camera app becomes buggy, u cant take any HDR photos and also other camera options dont work( force close), only clicking normal picture (that is withour hdr options)works,

This mod doesn't belong to camera in any way. You probably might have used some camera related mods. You might be using camera2api. I have heard that camera2api causes such issues.

Doesn't work with stable Rom. Stable Rom doesn't have this feature yet
Can someone tell me the main functions of this mod? The only iPhone X gesture I know is the swipe up to unlock (+face recognition), but I prefer unlock via fingerprint.

This has no face id. Just swipe up to go to home, swipe up and hold for recent apps, swipe from edge to go back.
Work on other phones like pixel xl?

Hey guys,
This guide is to learn how to enbale iPhone X gestures on supported Mi Phones.
Requirements - Either root or Magisk
Method 1 ( Requires root access ) :
go to your build.prop file located at /system/build.prop and edit the following code
Code:
[B]qemu.hw.mainkeys=1[/B]
change it to this
Code:
[B]qemu.hw.mainkeys=0[/B]

If these roms are based on latest developer roms, then this mod should work. You can give it a try to check. Follow the proper procedure mentioned in 1st post.
Works on latest xiaomi.eu
will it work for mi max 2?
UPDATED FOR MIUI 10 (OREO)
Magisk 17.1 MINIMUM is REQUIRED!
This module activate many features that's deliberately disabled by Xiaomi even tho the device itself supports it such as:

2. Activate the [Full screen gestures]
3. Disable the hardware capacitive keys - by: null4n @ GitHub.
4. All camera sounds will be disabled.
5. Replace system emoji font with latest Android Pie's emoji.
6. iZat configuration mods.
7. Thermal engine mods.

yup, its supposed to be like that as detailed in the 3rd point:
2. Activate the [Full screen gestures] & disable the hardware capacitive keys.
This module activate the onscreen button (you got [Full screen display] menu inside Settings as well, you can activate the [Full screen gestures] and the nav bar will be disabled as well... Enjoy

yes, you are right. Didn get the point of activating Full screen display mode, for screen gestures?
i think, our hardware buttons is much usable. But stabilization in camera begin to work, but with a little ^input lag^
google camera work also.
Will this work on aex rom? Also how to revert back?

no, it's for MIUI only as AOSP based got diff files layout.
to revert simply uninstall the module within Magisk (asuming you use Magisk).
I tried installing it via magisk but it says this zip is not a magisk module. I downloaded again and tried but same. I also tried through twrp but i knew it wouldn't install

It'll work except the device specific features as it'll replace file inside /etc/device_features/ folder....
GPS, busybox, hardware capacitive button will be disabled & you can activate the full screen gestures.
But all camera related mods will not be in place since it will not replace the xml file (file name is different between devices).
I dunno how to make Magisk to append/replace lines inside the [whatever the device name is].xml file inside those folder.
Any help will be appreciated.

also since you didn't state which MIUI & android version you're in, I assume it'll be MIUI 10 Oreo like the others.
Does the mod work on MIUI 10.1.3 (Pie EU) for Poco F1 ? I'm mostly interested in the 60 FPS video recording.
