You can't. OTA updates won't install until you unroot the mobile. If you have uninstalled some pre-installed apps or did any such kind of modification, you will get a "status 7" error. However, if you did not do such modifications, you may be able to install the OTA by temporarily booting in stock recovery. To boot into stock temporarily, download the stock recovery and then start your mobile in fastboot mode. Now in command prompt, type: "fastboot boot stockrecoveryfilename.img". Now your mobile will boot into stock recovery temporarily. You can try to manually install the update now.
Can you provide the update or a link to it?
Edit: got it:

Download the Universal OTA for your device.
Reboot the phone into Recovery mode.
Just install the downloaded zip file by choosing "Install ZIP" option.
Reboot the device, it would take nearly 15 mins to boot.
Drawbacks:
- Flashing OTA unroot your device.
Root it again by Flashing custom kernel and SuperSU.zip using TWRP Recovery.
- You would get system update notification even after updated. Just block the notification from Google play services.

Trouble with supersu update

im having trouble with 2.46. After flashing supersu i reboot my phone and tells me i need to update either by play or twrp. I chose play store and it downloaded the update and says install via twrp or normal so i chose normal and then failed so then i chose twrp and it tried to boot into twrp but got into a bootloop of loading twrp. Not sure how to go about updating it supersu and I still have no root access. I am on a motorola x pure running the OTA 6.0

Is it possible to ota update the device when custom recovery is installed and phone is rooted? Should i flash the .ozip file on TWRP/PBRP just to update my device? Or do i need to flash stock recovery and manually install the .ozip file?
