Hello everyone
I have a Xiaomi mi 5x with miuiu 8
AI noticed "unlocked" is written when I turn on the device, so I guess the bootloader is already unlocked, so I can't update to miui 9 ota (because of that)
I think I should install custom recovery so I could flash this official miui 9 ROM, or other custom Roms
How could I do that without brick my phone
Thanks very much
Best wishes
I bought mi a2 few days ago, and updated the PIE update via OTA. See the screenshot.
What i want now is simple, i want to flash custom rom. (I done nothing, bootloader is locked, everything is untouched)
It's not easy to do in Mi a2, lots of things, like boot img, and etc. I am confused.
So I want tutorials, i am running the pie 10.0.2, now let me know.
Happy new year to all of you.
Well bootloader unlocking comes first
There there are 3 commands
First is basic unlock
Then flashing unlock
Then flashing unlock critical
Just search gor these commands
Hello,
I unlocked the bootloader, install few custom roms but i didnt like it. Today I backed to MIUI 10 1.2 Global (installing from TWRP, and after this installing dm verity) and I noticed that is not possible to use GPay if I dont install Magisk.
There is some way to keep the booloader unlocked and use google pay? I read I should not be a problem but I got it...
Thanks!
Install xiaomi.eu ROM.

So I'm looking to sell my Mi 8. Originally bought the Chinese version, unlocked the bootloader and now have xiaomi.eu ROM. What's the best way to go stock and no root?
I'm assuming relocking the bootloader bricks the phone?
Flash the original fastboot rom with mi flash tool clean all and lock !
I have a Moto Edge S pro, and he came with the global ROM, and of course, with the BL unlocked. My question is: if I root my device, will I be able to install android 13??? Cause he still on Android 11 and it takes a lot of battery, and using root can I block the bootloader? Or just using the unlocked bootloader, can I update my phone by myself? If yes, how? I saw here a lot of manuals but I'm not confident to do by myself without help, can someone help me? Thank you everybody!!!
There is no problem
I have official ROM 13
After the update locked the bootloader
and no problem(moto edge s pro)

Ok, I downloaded the stock rom (using the RMSA) but how can I know that it's already the one with android 13? Because my BL still unlocked and I know I have to put the command to lock again. So, if I install again the stock ROM of android 11 and block the BL, when my phone turns on, will I be able to update using OTA?
My suggestion that once the bootloader unlocked on a motorola phone let it stay unlocked then flash whatever compatible rom you want but don't lock back. Sometimes under special circumstances locking back can brick a phone. If there is an anti-rollback protection in your phone then it can brick the phone with locked bootloader and previous Android version.
