UMIDIGI Q1 15W Wireless Charger w/ Galaxy Note 9 - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Hey guys, ive just bought the Umidigi Q1 wireless charger that reaches 15w charging speeds. I read that the Note 9 has a 15w Qi pad installed. How do I test whether or not the Q1 is charging the Note 9 at the full 15w wireless speed?

Try checking with AccuBattery.

Ampere app.

So what would I have to look for on these apps to show that the phone is charging at 15w? Ive never used them before

Samsung Wireless Charger

So I bought the Samsung Wireless Charger for the Note 5. Has anyone used this charging pad with Aukey Quick Charge 2.0 adapter? It pauses all the time while charging. I am wondering if they aren't compatible or whether the Charging pad was counterfeit.
Probably not compatible. You're not the only one. See my post here. I simply use mine with the adaptive fast charger it came with & have no issues.

Wireless Chargers

I'm going to be picking up the s7e in the next week and was wondering if anyone can recommend wireless chargers they currently use or have used in the past. All other Qi chargers are so much cheaper than the Samsung branded counterparts.
Also is there a big enough difference between the wireless fast charger from Samsung and any other Qi wireless charger that makes it worth buying?
Currently looking at the following:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Well th normal Samsung charger is free in the Samsung Pay promo (I don't think it applies to the UK), but it will charge slowly compared to a fast wireless one. I will have mine soon to test out I reviewed the Choetech 10W fast wireless charger below and graphed the charging speed compared to the stock quick charger. Samsungs fast wireless charger is only 10W from all accounts not 15W the phone supports. 10W wireless charging is still fast (see my link below), but any qi charger will work. I wouldn't bother with 1st party ones unless you get a good deal on one since wireless chargers from 3rd parties are just as good or sometimes better.

Fast charging

Is there any way we can increase the charging speed of exynos variant note 9? Coming from oneplus phone so it's really frustrating to see the charging time
Note 9 doesn't even fast charge with oneplus's charger.
Any other charger we can use to increase the charging speed? Like Super Vooc, QC 3-4, Mate 20 pro's charger?
And what about Samsung's duo wireless charger? Does it charge phone faster than supplied wired one or the same?coz it has more Watt than adaptive fast charger..
One word: No.
Because Samsung has limited voltage and ampere. Let's see how S10 will improve the charging speed.
QC2.0 18W and USB PD 15W are the only fast charge standards supported by the Note 9 Exynos afaik.
It is not possible as Samsung has installed security features to prevent the Note 9's battery to prevent it from overheating.

Support for Qi quick charge?

Hi everyone,
I was wondering if the s10 will be able to achieve quick charge with the newly released xiaomi wireless charger (20w). Apparently, this charger achieves 20w with QC 2.0/3.0/4.0 over Qi. Also wondering if the new Samsung quick charge duo supports QC over Qi.

Link for QC over Qi article: https://9to5google.com/2019/02/25/quick-charge-wireless-qi/amp/
A future update is supposed to add 25w fast charging.

All the s10 supports is around 10w charging wirelessly.

I think OnePlus uses proprietary charging tech. If it's qi certified it will charge the S21U. If not, it won't.
Did you check if your charge supports Qi wireless standard?

Charging pause can be many issue: not compatible charger, too thick case, phone too hot, not in correct position. My cheap 6$ charger charge phone just fine but the current move in a cycle from 1000 to 1600mah.

In that case, it should charge the phone at upto 10 Watts. Probable reasons why it stops charging could be high temperature, or a very thick case, or misaligned charging coils. I can't think of anything else that would prevent a Qi certified charger from transferring power to a Qi enabled phone... Have you had a look at the OnePlus forums regarding similar charger issues others might have had?

Is the phone temperature going up significantly while charging? Try monitoring that and see if overheating is causing the charging to stop

I have an S21 Ultra as well as 9 Pro. Have both the 30 watt wireless charger and the 50 watt wireless charger, the S21 Ultra doesn't charge on the 30 watt wireless One Plus charger but charges fine on the 50 watt wireless charger as well as other standard qi chargers. Just not on the 30 watt.

Same here. I have both fast chargers and the 30 watt charger won't charge any of my Samsung phones. It will start and then pause immediately.

If it's not the phone at fault, then that just leaves the charger as the culprit

The trio is usually Out of Stock in the indian Samsung online store.
There is a 15 Watt wireless fast charger also which is a little faster, but the fan makes it pretty noisy (go through amazon reviews). And it's always out of stock.
The Trio would be nice to have if it was in stock. You can charge two devices and a Galaxy watch.
Personally, I'd get the Duo (if you have a galaxy watch too) or just the single charging pad from Sasmsung for headache free charging.
Get the convertible one (first link you shared) if you like to view your phone screen while it's wirelessly charging.
All of them charge at the same rate (9W max) except the 15W charger stand with fan.
Personally I'm using the Spigen Steadiboost flex 15W Wireless charger. Supports fast wireless charging (max 10W for Samsung)
Bought it when all Samsung wireless chargers were out of stock...
Try clearing the system cache on the boot menu.
Try a hard reboot.
Does it charge with the phone powered off?
Does it charge in Safe mode?
Does it fast charge normally?
Try another wireless charger...

There you go... Looks like it's something OnePlus did to the 30W charger that breaks compatibility with the S21U
Can you check if it charges other non-OnePlus phones to see if the issue is limited to Samsung or other phones as well?
