Kernel Source Code - Vivo V11 Guides, News, & Discussion

Vivo has not releasing their kernel source code for their device. We need a top hacker to hack in their website and get their kernel source code. If the kernel source code does not stored in the web where did they store it?
Edit:Could somebody dismantle an vivo v11 and try to search for the kernel source code? I don't know if this will work or not but they suck I can't even root or unlock the bootloader I guess I will stuck with funtouch os/color os forever because I can't even root my oppo too ?

I've always avoid oppo and vivo because it always ended up like this.

Next time I will avoid VIVO phones like a plague. :crying: :crying: :crying: They make nice phones though but poor DEV support.
I only wish someone could find a way to root the phone successfully. I don't care about custom rom.
Root only for removing space junks for more ram space. A V11i Phone owner here. :crying: :crying:
I will spread the word to my friends.

(Mediatek MT6771 Helio P60) KERNEL (ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED)
Can someone look at this please? Any DEV or Someone as NOKIA released its KERNEL same with our chipset maybe there is still hope that our phone might have root or even twrp.
https://github.com/nokia-dev/android...l_nokia_mt6771
Please correct me if i am wrong for I am just optimistic about it.
for more sources you can look here:

Edit:
Please forgive me for spamming the threads for hoping a DEV can see this and criticize if this is feasible.

Short update on current status of bootloader unlock (we reached first goal)

Since we are receiving inquires on daily basis from our readers regarding Motorola Atrix bootloader unlock we decided to give short update on projects
which have for target unlocking atrix bootloaders. Motorola did not provide update to 2.3 Gingerbread for it's flagship smart phone (all competitors
already have available update for their top models) community is trying hard to bypass bootloader lock which was obviously imposed by carriers.
And since most of the phone are being sold trough carriers Motorola does not have here much choice then to have locked bootloaders at least for the phones which are being sold trough carriers.
So currently we have 2 serious projects (actually 3, but third one is under radar for now).
First one is khoulk project which has for target to use kernel function kexec to boot secondary (custom) kernel which should
have ability to read/write all partitions and trough this process possibly debrand devices.
Current status on this project is that khoulk have exact address where secondary kernel should be started and currently is trying to build secondary kernel and more info can be found in our last article regarding this topic here.
(This still needs to be confirmed by khoulk)
Second project is being developed by famous hacker tenfar from China, he is very well known as person who built clockworkmod recovery for Motorola Defy trough exploit called 2nd init bootloader, and partialy working clockworkmod recovery for Atrix.
Currently this is only way to for now to flash Atrix with pesudo ROM's for Atrix. Since tenfar has pretty impressive reputation in this field of expertise as well as houlk we should wait and see who should be first to the Atrix throne.
Also is worth mentioning here that 2init bootloader (bootloader menu) hack for defy is NOT publicly available (closed source, Korean authors claimed that this is due to possible bugs and instability, but it also may be way to prevent Motorola from patching this exploit in further releases) so tenfar has to reverse whole recovery method and try to implement it for Atrix.
tenfar :the 2ndinit is truely developed by Skrilax_CZ .Thank you for your hard work.and i need to make clear that the bootstrap recovery is not develop by me, i just port it to defy and the atrix 4g also i've modify the code to work with this two devices propertyly.but it's Koush's and many other developer who work on Cyanogen Mod to make that progress start from aosp sources. the Android bootmenu project as the OP worngly called "2nd-init" is developed by [email protected]
but the 2ndinit credit should go to Skrilax_CZ! and the credit of bootstrap recovery should goes to Koush and me .sorry for my english.
Again Thanks all the devs who work on those projects to make the world much better........

Third project is remaining for now under radar and as soon we have approval from it's authors we will publish more info here.
Update 2
OK guy's I think that we need to support dev's, tenfar developed currently only method with clockwork to flash custom pseudo rom's for atrix and he did that without even having atrix.
If we want to have custom recovery we need to show and support this projects.
Price for Atrix in china is around 750$ and since we all already paid hefty sum
for our locked phones I does not make big difference to give few $ to support dev's who are trying really hard to give us full access to our phones.
So goal is the following
1. Raise 750$ by donating tenfar for his atrix.
2. Extend current work to adopt 2init bootloader method for Atrix
3. Have ability to flash custom kernels
So to speed things up here is my contribution.
100$ to tenfar paypal account (Confirmation number: 0DT07904N51875837.)
Who is next ?
P.S. Every $ counts.
Here is the original article about this topic.

Update 3. In less than hour we manage to raise 200$ I'm really proud to be part of this community.
We need 750$
We have 200$
In percantage 27%
Update 4
We raised in 6 hours today in total 440$ which is roughly 70% of needed amount we need still 310$.
Thanks to all people who donated money!
In less than 9 hours we managed to reach our first goal!
We raised enough to get dev phone for tenfar
Here is the list of donors for today (20.May.2011)
You will notice that some nickname fields are empty (please contact me by pm
with You realname which You used to send donation and I will add it to list)

Tenfar thank You for updating thread, Can You give us some timeline or current status of Your project ?
P.S. If I understand Your signature correctly You don't own Atrix 4G but You are developing recovery for it ?
Thank you very much for the update!
Someone previously started another thread asking the community to donate money to supply an Atrix to developers like Tenfar who currently do not have one. I would support this idea, and am willing to contribute, not just to help us get the Atrix "unlocked" in whatever manner, but as a thank you for all the hard work.

Tenfar, I just donated $50USD.
I believe in this work and want you to do the best you can, please make sure to notify the community of how much money you have for the cause so we know how much more you need.
I still reserve $150 AUD for the first person to load a custom Kernel so this means I will have contributed close to $200 for this.
Please let us know what you need and what else can help us to free our phones.
Cheers,

Hi there,
Will contribute towards an Atrix for Tenfar, however: why don't we buy it in the US at an AT&T store, off contract & then ship it to him? Much cheaper, phone can be sim-unlocked quite easily. A moderator from the US can perhaps take the task?
Just a thought. I'll contribute either way.

Tenfar, can you organise to get yourself the AT&T version of the device, recruit the services of one of the contributors to help you if needed.
Regarding shipping from US to china there are significant problems which involve domestic custom office and it can delay significantly whole process, so I recommend that we skip that for now.
Irvin,
I'm well aware of Your good work, and I know that motorola internally is also aware of this
Just keep up with great job!

[Q] publish the source code of Corn Kernel

Hi there,
I'm looking for the source code of Corn Kernel, especially the version 7.0A.
I already tried to compile the kernel from Samsung with no success.
If by any chance the author can share his code this would be great for me.
Thanks
Might want to check with mtcarey here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1294477
I don't believe they have enough posts to post in the development section, if I remember right it has to be 10
Oops, on the app didn't see post count. Could prolly send mtcarey a pm

Refer here. MtCarey explains how to compile KK4.
Actually according to GNU/GPL licencing, all source code must be made available to the public for anything built on or modified from software built with that licence and the licence must carry over.
basically if you build it from a GPL licenced source, you must provide your source for your changes/additions.
But im sure if you send the dev of the kernel in question, he would be happy to abide. (by xda rules he should).
sometimes with modifying kernels/roms of leak versions, and software for which source has not been provided to us, we are able to change 90% less, and are breaking GPL, but we dont really have a choice in the matter. well... we could just not mod it.. LOL.

he says in that, that there is much more to tweak to get it proper, but those are the 2 main things missing to get it to boot. not exactly a how-to compile guide.
Hi Guys,
In response to the quote below, I already tried to compile other kernel with some success. I managed to do that with HTC kernel by following the instructions. The explanation MtCarey gave is more like a hint or some info. Even though the info might be good enough for experienced kernel developer, I'm still not experienced enough.
All I'm asking weather the full source code with minimum modification can be contributed to the public so we all can have the benefit of it.
And of course! many thanks for MtCarey if he's willing to do that.

Where can I get the information how to get to the irc?

[L1-II,L3-II,L4-II,L5-II] Source Codes Released

I'm not a developer and i've just arrived into the LG world with the new LG L4-II, a slightly smaller and cheaper version of the L5-II, but with exactly the same base hardware.
I have already rooted it using the tutorial here, available for the L5-II, but i've yet to see any ROM development for this new line of devices, so i decided to share a link with the community that shows that the full Source Code for these devices has already been released by LG.
I hope it will be useful for the developers, so that some day in the near future we see some custom Roms for these new devices.
https://www.lg.com/global/support/o...tegoryId=CAT00000001&osCategoryId=CAT00000002
Cheers to all.
Thank you about the link and the information. I do hope someone takes the second generation ( II ) of the L models seriously. Almost no one is working which makes most of us sad
Could you be so kind to give me a link to the rooting tutorial? And may be the steps you've followed? Because I want to root my phone too.
Thanks and cheers to all guys who share useful info and modded roms with us!
thanks for this man. it helps a lot
BL unlock needed!
This is kind of useless, untill we get bootloader unlock. I've managed to build recovery.img for MT6575 chipset with some tools and also flashed it to E440, but bootloader is blocking the recovery boot due to security reasons, but boots in normal mode(Android)... i can share recovery.img if someone need it.
Update: I have boot.img and bootloader image, too - everithing except /system and /data
Added: Ops... My bad. now I think it is kernel related security check, will take a look at the kernel source and try again. I'm not a DEV, just playing.

Kernel request to Samsung

Hi!
We can fix a lot of Galaxy S Advance I9070 bugs like poor battery life or low audio quality and much much more, but only with your help.
These bugs are caused by OS kernel which is not up-to-date with stock ROM’s and Samsung is refusing to update it. Our previous requests have been ignored by them, and the point is that Samsung have to update it, they are just forced by law and licensing terms of Linux, however they just don’t want to do this because of some unknown reason.
We think that the only way to get an updated source code is to… Show the power of our community and spam them with request messages. That’s the only way to fix A LOT of S Advance bugs still present. S3 Mini community have done this before with a great success, so we can do this too!
It’s a nasty way, but it’s the only thing we can do as a community, because our previous requests had been ignored.
We’d be very pleased if you want to help us. It’s easy, just send them the message provided below:
Contact form: HERE
Inquiry type: Request for Source Codes
Sample message:
I’d like to request the most recent Linux kernel source code for Galaxy S Advance I9070. Source code already available on Samsung Opensource is very outdated and not up-to-date with Samsung internal source code, which can be proved.
According to GNU GPL license you are obliged to publish any source code you had changed in Linux kernel, and you are violating law by not publishing it.
Please, stop pretending that current kernel is up-to-date and just update it. Community have had enough waiting for you to even answer to our requests.
Thanks in advance!

Our phone came with Gingerbread, and when the Jellybean update came, that source you linked was the only thing dropped (because it's GPL), which is the current source code we are using for all the kernels available, including CM11 and CoCore.
I think the only time where the older one was used, was when Shaaan tried to port CM 7.2.
Erm, most of what we don't have it's the modem/RIL, that are not ST-Ericsson but Samsung. Unless Sammy has the 3.4 kernel hidden somewhere (very unlikely), anything that is released from now on, it's pretty minor.

[Question] Bootloader unlockable? Custom ROMs? Root?

Hey, I'm currently wondering about leaving my Samsung Galaxy S9 running on LineageOS 18.1 behind and invest into more up-to-date hardware.
The Oppo Find X5 Pro catches my interest.
However, I'd want to switch to custom ROMs at some point, latest by the end of its update support and possibly root the device.
Considering this, would the Find X5 Pro still fit my needs?
Currently Bootloader Unlock is not possible. Maybe after three months...
Try to get to fastboot is hard . So far i figured out how to get to fastboot.
Run cmd from either Adb/fastboot folder or Adb from platform tools .
run the command:
adb devices
next run :
adb reboot bootloader
while it reboots hold the down volume and power.
it put into fastboot. After that Im lost. Thats as far as I got.
I cant read Chinese
If a phone is not rootable or custom rom possible etc - NO BUY!
Sry Oppo. Hope you Developers find a good way soon!

I came to the same conclusion. The release offers coming with all that extra stuff such as watch, wireless charger and protector seemed to be a good deal.
Especially, when my current phones battery struggles a lot, front camera issues came up and sometimes people I'm calling feel uncomfortable with extra noise.
Though, usually I'm someone who uses their phone for the extra mile. Knowing that Oppo is as restrictive toward a custom roms, protected me from making a not thought through gut decision.
Thanks for the help ...I just didnt have time to do google translate. I will unlock the bootloader tonight
After i get into the " you have entered fastboot " no matter what button combination i do... it will either just reboot or reboot to recovery
To unlock bootloader of OPPO phone, we need to use "Deep Testing" apk to request approval from OPPO, but there's no such apk for Find X5 Pro yet.
I'm OPPO Product Ambassador and asked OPPO to release it, but they replied their developer is not interested in it.

I'm not sure if its device specific but this one seems to be working on Realme GT2 Pro which has at least the same OS and SOC. Probably worth a look.
Unlocked Bootloader?
This device finally seems like a worthy buy if one wants to go into the Samsung ridden 4nm fabrication 8 gen 1 CPU. Best temperatures and lowest throttling of all phones with that chip. One can only hope if Realme releases it with an unlocked...

Not possible, I tried but it didn't proceed for applying.
It didin't work on China version of Find X3 too, so maybe it's only for realme.

There are several versions of the deep testing APK in the internet, the official one for the realme gt 2 pro can be installed but you can not submit your application:

Maybe it's related to the version of my phone (Europe) and changing this would help but I couldn't test it out yet:
Changing a region of a device .(For example, change a EUROPA device to INDIA device)(Updated Instructions, now working again)
Disclaimer : I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards. Please think twice if you want to follow this guide . Realme x2 pro INDIA variant have more apps, settings and features then the EU variant including call recording and theme...

Anyone know of a newer version of fastbootd. I have v1.3.0
I can get the phone to fastbootd
Very stupid question: as this phone shares lots of it's guts and software with the OnePlus 10 Pro, have you guys tried to use the same process as with its sibling?
