Hi,
I had installed one year ago the AospExtended 4.8? based on Android 7.1, then I tried to install the:
AospExtended-v6.1-z2_row-20181220-2018-OFFICIAL.zip, but I could not.
First I had to comment the check on the Mobile property in the update script (Mine is Z2P, so install abort if not commented), but then I get issue on the VENDOR.
So, reading the different threads, I flashed the factory2vendorZ2row, but while starting, it fails.
Can someone help me providing a "rough" method to install this version of AospExtended ?
thank you in advance for your help
Flash latest baseband.

Hi there,
we have this phone and manually rooted and flashed it. Now it runs on TWRP 2.7.8.0.
Since a few days Marshmallow OTA is shown but cannot be installed after download: Error "This package is for K50a40; this is a K3Note".
Nothing worked so far trying to update it. I tried using this method but also does not work out since I cannot get into original Recovery (pushing all 3 buttons as mentioned in this thread to choose language does not work).
Can anybody tell me how I may install this upgrade? I already downloaded the OTA file and stored it as update.zip on the phone. With TWRP updating will not work out. I only managed to get into normal recovery once but could not use it due to being in chinese only.
Any help on how to install this update is highly appreciated!
Many thanks in advance!
Bye

I also had the same problem but mine said, Error "This package is for K50a40; this is a K50-T5".......
Sorry guys - need to bring this up again. Any hints? OTA update is still offered but cannot be installed due to said error.
Do I have to downgrade or install an older stock ROM in order to get updated? If so any hint or link (also to appropriate threads) is highly welcome!
Hi guys !
On my OP3T i was on OOS 4.0.3 with kernel r12. I flashed OOS with TWRP 3.1.0-1. Before that, i flashed a lot of ROM for fun and see the differences etc ...
Today i wanted to test some new ROM because i was on OOS since a long time and wanted to change. Si I downloaded Citrus and Nuclearom and tried to flash with TWRP 3.1.0-1 and i have error 7. Same with Nuclearom before the message error 7, i saw this :
Comparing TZ version TZ.BF.4.0.1-85373 to BZ.BF.4.0.1-83199
assert failed: oppo.verify_trustzone("TZ.BF.4.0.1-85373") == "1"
First time I saw this message so i searched in Google and apparently I don't have the last firmware of OP3T so i find a URL on Google : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bzko1towAti5NzU5b3lDaEZfZ3M/view
I flashed the firmware but still can't install custom ROM except OOS 4.0.3.
So i don't understand why i can't install custom ROM but OOS works, i have the last firmware, TWRP 3.1.0-1, bootloader updated etc ...
I searched a lot on Google :
https://www.reddit.com/r/LineageOS/comments/5vksqe/update_bootloader_on_oneplus_3t/
http://www.lineageosdownloads.com/fix-error-7-lineage-os/
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3t/help/twrp-error-7-t3552273 (more interesting)
But i followed all steps of all links, didn't find a issue.
Sorry if my english is bad and hope someone have a idea.
Best regards,
Which rom are you trying to install
Some roms like sultan cm13 has not been updated with the required firmware trustzone and it uses the old firmware trustzone

You can solve the problem deleting one string in update script file into the rom, many roms now give that problem, simply follow the info in this thread:

Only do this if you are flashing a custom rom! OOS actually requires this line since it makes sure that you do not brick your phone by downgrading the firmware.
OOS flashable zips contain new firmware and then OnePlus inserted this line to protect ppl.
(Actually I might be wrong and you are indeed able to downgrade and 1+ is just kidding you, however I would not want to try)
Si tried to delete the string for Citrus and that works, i will try later with others ROM, thanks guys !
Some time ago a friend helped me upgrade my Sony Xperia SP from android 4.2 to 7.1.2. I have searched a lot of guides and I haven't found anything that can help me root. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I think it can be done with Magisk framework, Magisk APP and SuperSU. Mind the version! I think v12 of Magisk is the latest one working but I'm not sure.

let us have more details about your device.
1. What OS/custom ROM are you using? Is it LineageOS?
How to check? Go to Settings>About Phone> and check if it is LineageOS with version.
If it is indeed a Lineage OS, you can download the root add-on here.
Reboot your device to recovery, then flash the zip file.
You can search on how to flash zip files in recovery.
2. If it is not a LineageOS. you can check for the OS' name and search the topic here at XDA (because at about 90% probability that the OS came from here).

1. We want to make sure that we are on the same page. So First you may want to install this TWRP from this page. Instructions are on the post.
2. After a successful installation. We may want to upgrade our OS to the latest version. Just pick the latest from this link. Don't worry if it is all nightly. I assure you that they are as good as daily drivers. You can dirty flash it over you current installed OS (no need to wipe. just install the zip file through the recovery at (1).
3. Head over to this one to download the add on su. Pick the one named. addonsu-14.1-arm-signed.zip and flash this also through recovery.
Note: If you don't know what you are doing. You can always read it first before trying. Or ask your friend again to instruct you the basics of flashing custom mod / zip files to your phone.
Also if you don't want to update your OS (which you can but I suggest you update it for other small reasons. i.e. fix and updates). you can just download the addon su. reboot to recovery. flash it and you're done.
If you find this step by step a little bit difficult to understand, you can always read the post I linked above or the replies from other person. or just get help from those who did the job done.
Alright, I managed to do it. Thanks a lot!
Hello guys,
I don't know if here is the good place to post. My bad and SORRY for my english, I'm french and I'm learning by myself specially in watching tv series with subtitles :fingers-crossed:
I'm currently on version Lineage 13.0-20170204-UNOFFICIAL-n7000 (6.0.1) and I would like to install OREO 8.1.0 (Lineage 15.1).
I don't want to mess up everything so I ask for help as I know I can rely on tips here.
Should I install Lineage 14 first and then move to 15? There is explanation on Updating If you are running an earlier NightOwl cm15.1 alpha version: but nothing if we are on other version. Is the cm version important here? It must be another cm15 or it works no matter version we installed? So I'm confused and after spending 1 month to recover a BLOD Nexus 5X without recovery and locked fastboot... I know I must check twice before doing anything.
So if someone can enlighten me. Thank you
Edit :
I followed Updating If you are running an earlier NightOwl cm15.1 alpha version.
When I try to flash the ROM, it end up with :
- detected filesystem ext4 for /dev/block/mmcblk0p9
- Patching system image unconditionally...
- E1001 : Failed to update system image.
- Updater process ended up with ERROR : 7
- Error installing zip file '/sdcard0/Nightowl-lineage15.1-beta2-n7000.zip
Help please. Thank you

I went to WIPE-ADVANCED and format Kalvin, Cache, System and Data.
- Flash lanchon REPIT
- Flash the rom without error.
After successfully flashed the ROM, Wipe Kalvin cache and flash gApps.
After "5-7"minutes of rebooting, the phone was updated to CM15 and running smoothly.
If my post can help someone else.
Admin, this thread can be tag SOLVED.
Hello guys.
I found a Galaxy A6+ with no real Android installed on it, only some tests rom. After a few researches, I found out that a combination firmware was on it.
A bit more of a research later, I tried to flash the latest Android Pie firmware available with no success. Tried the same firmware from another source, same result. Not much luck with an Oreo firmware.
I then tried to install TWRP to the device, wich succeeded (on Odin at least) but couldn't be installed because of the bootloader protection of the phone.
It seems that the combination firmware installed is too recent for the official firmware and the phone thinks I'm trying to downgrade.
Is my theory correct ? Can't I just erase the current firmware and clean install a new official one ? It's been two days and I've no idea what to do next...
Thank you very much for your help !
