They had three models of mi 8 the 64/128 & 256Go storage and two various models Global Version & a Chinese Version.
But really they had only one version per models of mi 8 but different Firmware of mi 8 ? Exemple for the 64Go model storage this is the same hardware of mi 8 and only the firmware change ? Chinese version or Global version ?
Thank you

But I see with link if you use Global phone you can't use miui china version ?
If I unlock my BL and flash Custom Rom Xiaimi.eu based on China miui version Rom !
They had mistake if I make Ota update of Xiaomi.eu Rom ? No risk lock it and brick it ?
Ps : Yes I understand just don't flash the chinese stable or dev Rom and vise versa !!! With Custom Rom no mistake just if you use miflash don't lock.
Thanks.
You can have every custom rom you want.. for example xiaomieu,it doesnt mean something what kind of source it is. You can use xiaomieu based on china rom with your global version smartphone!
Btw xiaomieu doesnt have ota updates you need to flash manually from twrp every time.
Hi all,
I just ordered the mi 9t pro, and i wondet what is the best rom for it. The EEA or global rom?
I live in France
Thank you
Miui.eu for anyone in the world. It cuts out all of the bloat and a lot of Chinese specific apps as well as adverts.

It's not obvious if you're asking the difference between official MIUI and xiaomi.eu, or wanting the answer to the original question, so I'll answer both.
If you plan on sticking with stock MIUI, then stay with EEA, if you buy a European phone. There is no noticeable difference between global and EEA, so best and easiest to stick with the original ROM of the phone.
Xiaomi.eu ROMs are a custom ROM based on Chinese MIUI. They take the stock ROM and remove all bloatware and Chinese specific apps and anything that is not needed and safe to remove. They add dozens of language translations, to make it global, then add a few of their own tweaks and customisations.
They have been around doing this for almost as long as MIUI has existed, so they certainly know what they're doing.
I will have a global version rom, do you think it's good idea to flash the EEA rom?

If it's a global phone stick with the global ROM. If it's a European phone stick with EEA.

I believe that there is no official Global ROM, the option is custom ROMs. I recommend the Lineage 17:

It wasn't a global ROM. It was a modified Chinese ROM with additional languages.

There is no global ROM. You can try MoreLocale 2 on your rooted phone as the guys from 4PDA have had some success with that.
I have a Redmi note 10 5G shipped with the MIUI ROM 12.5.4.0.RKSEUXM. This ROM does not have the Xiaomi dailer and uses the Google version which I really do not like.
Does anyone know if the Turkish RKSTRXM or Taiwan RKSTWXM ROMs come with the Xiaomi dailer and apps?
Thanks

I'm on a UK ROM and was on v12.0.7. Changed the Region to Switzerland, now I'm on v12.0.10. So no way of updated to v12.5 when If I can see a 12.5.3.0 EEA package exists. These is quite a mess with this fireware.
