Launched in December 2017, P Smart now appeared on the Geekbench test with Android 9 Pie. This development indicates that the phone has begun to update.
The Android 9 Pie will be the first major update for the phone that previously released the Android 8.0 Oreo. However, the official update is expected to be released before the second quarter. The phone will have an EMUI 9.0 interface with the update.

I believe it's in beta testing in China. Should arrive to everyone by the end of next month.

It seems that the Huawei P9 Lite may be receiving the Android 7.0 update after all. We got a tip in the mail that one owner of a SIM free P9 Lite has gotten an over the air update on his phone in Japan.
The reader isn't enrolled in the beta testing program so this shouldn't be an unfinished build of Nougat.

The firmware sports the build number VNS-L22C635B361 which looks to be official and may very well be the same firmware that Huawei pulled from seeding just yesterday.
It's possible that Huawei has sorted whatever brought the update to a halt and will gradually resume its progress.

GPU Turbo and September Security patch.
Does anyone has updated now? I have a Nova2i c636 and the Firmware Finder shows me 3 GB update with GPU Turbo, bug fixes ect. It's ready to download and confirmed for my phone. But no official OTA yet. Should i wait or should i downlod over the Firmware Finder?
I just found out the Firmware don't work anymore only with open Bootloader which i don't have.So i need to wait for the official OTA.

I have purchased the phone but noticed on some sites it says Android 9 was released about a month ago, and i read everywhere that people are still "testing" beta program.
Any ideas when the official release is supposed to happen not of the beta but of the official android 9 ?

People that have the F916W(Canadian) and the F916U, are cross compatible with the F916U1 that has the Android 12 update. You just have to update your CSC settings after you cross flash

did not notice any issues so far. little faster and some minor changes on graphics. overall its a pleasant and fresh upgrade
The latest software update for the smartphone arrives with build number V13.2.4.0.TLBCNXM.
It bumps up the MIUI version to 13.2 and the security patch level to October 2022.

That is cool, yet I might wait a month. Every update withing MIUI that has some version upgrade (Android or MIUI itself) gave me some issue in the past, resolved in the update after that.
