Not sure what breathing effect is but this app lets you change notifications led color and blinking speed.

LED light

Hey, is there anyway to control the color of the LED notification light? It seems to flash green when i have a text i think?
Yup. Download the GoSMS app and under settings you can change the LED notification to anything you want.
If you want to keep using the stock SMS app, there are other apps in the Market that allow you to just control the LED colors.
I just installed "Light Flow Lite - LED Control"...will let you know how it works out.

Pull down notification bar and then let it slide back up
If no dice, try rebooting
Go to settings display notification flash untick all the boxes all done
Sorry to barge in but I have a question about the LED notification....
Is it always green for alerts like messages and missed calls or is there an option to have a different colour for different alerts eg flash blue for SMS flash green for missed call?
I remember the G1 used to have this option (tri colour LED) but alot of modern android phones dont.

Green for just about everything. Orange for charging. Red for overheating.

Notification LED

Does Note 5 have notification LED?
The notification LED on my Note 5 alerted me to the fact that this question had been asked just now.

Thanks
I can live without IR Blaster or extension memory
But LED notification this I can't live wihtout
Thread moved to proper forum.
Just a heads up I find the notification LEDs to be weaker and dimmer than those on my old phone (Note 2). Still easy for me to miss them. Also don't blink as fast or frequent.
settings > accessibility > hearing > flash notification
[Thank you!

Nope but you can put it on Silent then disable the vibrations. Same thing.
