Hello!
So I got a Note9 about two weeks ago, and when I found out that there is a new Good Lock app that lets me change my navbar, I instantly went and downloaded it. The thing is, I'm not really satisfied with the stock icons that it gives. There is an option for choosing icons from the gallery, but my problem is that when I search on Google I can't find any good quality navigation icons. So my question is: do any of you know sites that have a variety of icons (including navbar icons) for Android and offer them in good quality for free? (In good quality I mean about 300x300 is fine)
Thanks for further help!
These are not even close to 300x300. All you need is 48x48 or around that size. Some don't have multi-window. Use recents style for it.
Thanks

I've searched the 'net, I've looked at every crappy icon pack in the market, and I absolutely cannot find an icon pack that I am satisfied with.
Basically what I'm looking for are solid (non-transparent) versions of the LauncherPro icons, or icons that are identical (one solid color with no transparency or shadowing) so that I can edit them to my liking.
I've got decent photoshopping skills, but I've tried goofing around with the LauncherPro icons to no avail, I can't get them looking quite right.
Recommendations would be MUCH appreciated!
I assume you mean the application icons, in the applications list? Are you able to provide a screenshot of one you tried to edit (before or after)?

Sorry, I lost track and didn't subscribe. I'm just talking about the stock Launcher Pro Dock icons, sort of.

See the ones at the bottom? Like that, basically.
I See What You Mean.
Someone should release a vector version of those icons. :/
Wrong post. I'm dumb.
I know what you mean. I always find great icons, but they don't look right in the dock. They're made too small and look bad.
Here you go: http://www.iconfinder.com/browse
There are currently 760 full icon sets in there as I type this, all free, some for even commercial use, which allow you to download in .png or .ico format. You can even search for individual replacements for icons as well.
Happy hunting!

I know this probably makes me something of an outlier, but I've discovered playing around with different apps and icon themes on my NST, I actually really like the look of the default B&N app icons - they've got a really nice minimalism to them that even my favorite minimalist icon themes don't. So I decided I'd add to the set, and see if anyone else had ideas/requests for what to add. Current plans:
-redraws of the existing ones (as most are buried in the apps and can't be used elsewhere - also, they look awful on upscale)
-mail icon
-internet icon
-chat-bubble icon
-Android market icon
-filesystem icon
-terminal icon

I agree that the nook icons are better but I lack the skills to make similar ones for my apps.
Well, this is what I have on my launcher 7 (which I find is perfect for an e-ink screen with some tweaking).
Everything else you pretty much covered.
-Google news feed
-PDF reader
-A tools folder filled with useful tools
Great idea by the way. Thanks!

I'll see what I can do! Swapping to Launcher 7 on my NST is actually what inspired it - I wanted to use the default Library app icon but oh god, it looks so awful on a launcher tile because of how small the original image is.
I'm definitely interested in this!
I use perfectviewer and mango if you want any more ideas for icons.
I would say any general manga/comic looking icon would work.
I had a bit of a search on the web and xda developers, but can't seem to find what im looking.Tryung to find out what the stock icon sizes are for the htc one on Jellybean 4.2.2?I would like to add ios 5.1.1/6 icons (120x120) over the top of my exsisting apps, but i dont want to run launchers or different roms, very happy with 4.2.2and Sense 5.Please be gentle, this is my first Android phone, and still trying to get my head around things
Cheers

72x72 & 144x144 .. In apks they seem to be 72x72 but they won't change unless you decompile and sign them from my personal experience. In some of the framework files, the icons for system apps such as calendar, camera, phone etc, they're 144x144.
This isn't concrete as far as where each size dwells but they are the two sizes I've come across for apps.
So if i were able to put the 120x120 aplle icons over android apps, would it end up looking weird,as in weird shadows under the icons, etc?

What do you mean putting them over android apps? You'd obviously have to replace them and if I were you I'd resize them to be the same dimensions but it shouldn't matter that much as it's not like ****ty Apple with their stupid masks that leave a black shadow around Icons, especially noticeable when using non-square icons.
The one thing to note is that if you plan to change the icons for things like camera, phone, gallery etc, the icons are 72x72 in the app but 144x144 in htc.resources.apk. If you don't make the icons the same sizes then you will end up with tiny icons on your homescreen but normal ones on the lockscreen. For example, if you change the phone icon then you have to put a 144x144 icon in htc.resources.apk otherwise it won't be the correct size.
This is gonna end up sound like a stupid easy fix, but I have searched everywhere and cannot find a way to change the look of the icons.
For one, the button on the left change from "Recents" to some stupid "Flip between two apps you used" that is getting really frustrating.
And two, the icons of the buttons themselves changed somehow. How does one change it back to the regular ones? I am using Resurrection Remix rom and Nova Launcher

Have you changed themes? I'm running the minimal theme and have the same softkeys. Themes will change them. As far as them being switched, I haven't ran Resurrection yet, but there should be something in the settings to flip-flop and edit them I'm sure. Have you changed anything in there?

I guess it's happening for the specific theme you're using as I can see you navigation bar, you seemed to be using a theme, right? If so then it's a normal thing. To switch between styles of navbars of your choice use SoftKeyZ
Thank you for the reply guys. I am indeed using a theme but these styles showed up randomly, days after I installed the theme. I even went as far as installing a completely new theme and they remain. I tried the SoftKeyz app and even that app can't seem to change them. I wouldn't even mind these so much if the left key was the recents and not a switch between last two apps used.
So I know that some progress has been made with Sungstratum (samsung subtratum) in regards to the centering of the clock and a few other things like that, but I haven't read much on changing the NavBar icons without being rooted.. Just curious if this can be done w/o root...? I just came from an LG V20 and there was a whole slough of NavBar icons in substratum, but when I searched this morning I didn't see any..
Thanks in advance!

I guess that would depend on what you are looking for.
If you haven't already, download substratum and give https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/themes/theme-statusbar-icons-extras-samsung-t3674792 a try. It doesn't require root and it does in fact change the button icons, choices between the Pixel, Alt Pixel, AOSP and Parapaper icons. If you want to go back to stock, just uninstall the overlayers. I recommend the https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-8/themes/apk-reverting-to-black-navbar-t3679747 if you prefer a dark style of the Nav bar.
If you are looking for something more custom, perhaps someone else has other ideas!

Check the note 8 overlayers thread, there is an AOSP navbar there in post 1
You can use Apkeditor to replace the aosp icons with your own from then on to create your own

Thanks for the tips guys, much appreciated!
I suppose I'll drop that $2 on the samsung substratum integration addon, just wasn't sure if that was needed for everything and I read many individuals who had purchased it were unable to utilize the features.. I did see Venom offered some free ones, so I'll give those a go first and proceed from there until I find what I'm after.. I just like things that are different than stock..

This is the app I used with my V20 and it had a plethora of diff NavBar options to change the three little icons down bottom..
