[Project share] [update] Tasker Clipboard Manager + history [Android 11-NoRoot] - Tasker Tips & Tricks

Tasker Clipboard Manager
by M.M.K
Did you ever copy an important piece of text, suddenly copied another line over that?
Nothing to worry if you have a simple clipboard manager.
Especialy when you have access to the history from 3 years ago
Tasker Clipboard Manager:
1. Quick Settings clipboard shortcut, so you can access the clipboard manager anywhere. (Add shortcut from tasker settings)
2. Quick access to 7 recent clipboard entries you copied.
3. Access to Unlimited records of your clipboard history in a text file along with each entry date and time (so you can search)
4. Clipboard Manager Paste option (root needed, unrooted mates can use default android paste option)
5. No Tasker plug-in is needed.
I've been searching for a light and handy clipboard manager without asking too many permissions and I couldn't get along with the existing ones. So I made this simple clipboard using Mat Zolnierczyk's clipboard core file.
Also since I hate lots of plug-ins beside tasker, I made this clipboard manager based on Tasker only. No other plugins are needed.
- The history file is in /sdcard/android/clipboard.txt
How to set up?
Procedure is explained in the next post.
- Import the clipboard project file (attached to the post) in the tasker.
- Set up the project.
Never tried Tasker before? Give it a try.

How to import Tasker Clipboard Project (Set up)
------ Setting up the Clipboard:
1. Import the project in Tasker (no plug-ins needed),
To import a project in tasker, first disable the beginner mode in the UI Settings. Then press and hold on Home ? icon placed in the left bottom area of the app.
Now select import project. Choose Clipboard_by_mmk.prj.xml
2. Set up the Clipboard Quick Settings Tile in order to access Clipboard anytime,
Go to Tasker's preferences, ACTION tab, choose our Clipboard task in one of Tasker's Quick Settings Tasks.
Add Tasker's Clipboard Quick Settings Tile to your device quick settings.
3. Approve Tasker the permission to access and listen to device clipboard through ADB (required in Android 10+): (enter each line individually)
adb -d shell appops set net.dinglisch.android.taskerm SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allow
adb shell pm grant net.dinglisch.android.taskerm android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
adb shell pm grant net.dinglisch.android.taskerm android.permission.READ_LOGS
adb shell am force-stop net.dinglisch.android.taskerm
Clipboard set up is done.
------ Please Note:
* If your device is not rooted, you can copy previous entries from the clipboard and paste it yourself manually, as clipboard Paste button only works with Root. Tasker doesn't have paste function without root afaik and using plug-ins would have been a hassle.
* Your clipboard history is stored at: sdcard/Android/clipboard.txt

Google Home - Quick Todoist Update and Recurring Reminder

**Updated 4/23/2017**
**Note** You must have the Todoist (Free) app installed and your preferred "daily review" time set under Settings/Notifications.
After installing this profile you will be able to say "Ok Google, add <the name of your task> to my to-do list." GH will add the task to your Todoist "Inbox" and will then remind you that you have pending tasks, every 5 mins based on your Todoist "Daily Review" settings.
Video Demo
Part 1.
1. Download and install Tasker, AutoNotifications BETA, and AutoCast BETA (you will need the Full Paid versions). Also download Todoist_Reminder.prf.xml
2. Once you have received the AutoNotifications BETA update via the Play Store open the app, grant all permissions, press "Enable Notification Intercept" and grant notification access. Leave all other default settings and exit AutoNotifications.
3. Once you have received the AutoCast BETA update from the play store open the app, grant all permissions, select "Manage Cast Devices," then press + to add your Google Home then exit the app.
Part 2.
1. Go to IFTTT.com and create the following applet:
a. “This” – Google Assistant channel - “Say a phrase with a text ingredient”
i. Under “What do you want to say?” – Enter “please add $ to my to do list”
ii. Under “What do you want the Assistant to say in response?” – Enter “ok, added $ to your too do list”
b. “That” – Todoist - “Create task”
i. Under "Which project" select "Inbox"
ii. Under "Due date" enter "daily"
iii. Under "Priority" select "Priority 1"
Part 3.
1. Place the "Todoist Reminder” xml file in your device’s Tasker/profiles folder (if these folders do not exist then create them).
2. Open Tasker and long-press “Profiles,” then select “Import” and import the xml file from Part 1.
3. Back-out of Tasker to save the profile. Done!
You can now add tasks to your to-do list by saying "Ok Google, add <the name of your task> to my to-do list." Additionally GH will remind you, every 15 mins based on your Todoist "Daily review" start time, that you have pending tasks (Clear the notification from your phone to end reminder. The reminder will not trigger if your phone is set to silent). Enjoy!
**Important**
- GH must be connected to the same wifi network as your phone in order to announce the reminder.
- Turn off battery optimization for Tasker, AutoNotifications, AutoCast, and Todoist or your device may disable these apps when idle.
- Also recommended to set "Use Reliable Alarms" to "Always" under Tasker's Settings/Preferences/Monitor.

Info — contains information about the app and how to use it.
Preferences — opens the Preferences page (more about this in the next section).
Enable/Disable Tasker — enables or disables Tasker.
Search Tasker — search data or feature within the app; not available in Beginner Mode.
Exit — closes the app.
Run An Action — performs a single action (e.g. maximizing screen brightness).
Run Log — records events and procedures done through the app.
Developer Options — advanced options for devs; not available in Beginner Mode.

Block calendar notifications while driving

Hi,
might seem a silly question but it's very annoying while driving that I receive Samsung calendar notifications. While they appear full screen, Waze and music sounds are silenced.
I have to manually dismiss them before all sounds are 'restored'.
I just want to drive without interruptions of the calendar app, anyone know how this can be done? I'm also using Android Auto but don't see any setting that can accomplish this.
thank you
I'm using Tasker and AutoNotifcation for this. I block some notifications and enable the AOD while connected to my cars Bluetooth.
- install both apps
- in Tasker add a task and search for "AutoNotification Block".
- Tap the pen of Configuration and select the apps you want to block the notification for. You can also add the package name manually
- Under "Toggle" set it to "Block"
- go back and set the timeout to none (slide the slider to the most right)
- go back to the task
- go back to the task list
- add a new task, do the same as above but instead of "Block" set the Toggle to "Unblock".
Now you have the needed tasks and you can set the profiles for them.
- In Tasker go to the profile tap and add a new profile, name it whatever you want.
- Tap on "Status" and filter for "Bluetooth connected" (Note: Bluetooth must be enabled while creating the profiles!).
- Name is optional, tap on the magnifying glass for "Address" and select your cars Bluetooth address.
- go back and Tasker will popup a window where you need to assign a task. Assign the "block" task.
- now do the same again but Mark the "Reverse" check mark in the Bluetooth address menu and after this select the "unblock" task.
So, Tasker will tell AutoNotification to block the specific notifications while connected to the Bluetooth device and unblock it if disconnected.
I hope it works for you. I don't know the English menu entries for Tasker since my app is in German, sorry if there's something different.
thanks, great tip : I already bought Tasker a while ago, I'll set it up like that

[APP] Secure Clips - Secure & private clipboard manager

Creates a private clipboard that cannot be read by other apps. You can also create and manage private notes.
TIP: by giving permission to use "accessibility service" you can copy and paste text to editable fields that do not offer the "three-dot" submenu.
Get it from Play store
To copy text to your secure clips:
Select the text to be copied.
In the context menu, select the icon to see further options - normally a three-dot icon.
Choose "Copy to SecClips".
Or, if you have given permission to use the "accessibility service", long click the selected text and click on the corresponding icon in the popup window.
To paste text from your secure clips:
Select the text to replace. If you don't want to replace an existing text you need to write a couple of characters and select them.
In the context menu, select the icon to see further options - normally a three-dot icon.
Choose "Paste from SecClips".
Or, if you have given permission to use the "accessibility service", long click the text field (even without selecting a text to replace) and click on the corresponding icon in the popup window.
To view and manage secure clips and notes:
Choose the corresponding icon at the top right of this page.
Or, choose "SecClips" in the context menu.
Or, use the quick settings tile "SecClips". You may need to give the application permission to create popup windows to use this feature.

v. 2.1
The accessibility settings of the device can be opened by a switch in the app.
Added locale for Russian.

Update
"Secure Clips" v. 2.0
Use the accessibility permissions in order to paste text to editable text fields. This permission is not required if the editable text fields offer the "three dots" context menu.
New setting to autoclose the popup window.
Bug fixes and minor improvements.
Can you explain how this differs from your previous app, PrivateClipboard? https://www.xda-developers.com/private-clipboard-mimic-android-10-privacy/

"Secure Clips" is a continuation of "Private Clipboard." Initially it was created for those users who had expressed the desire to donate for "Private Clipboard": in these cases I prefer to create a new paid app that offers something extra (like the black theme) from the free app, so those who donate can get something more.
One thing that some users have pointed out to me on "Private Clipboard" is that not all apps (editable fields) offer the " three dots" menu when you long click on an editable field. This practically prevented these users from using the app as they had no way to copy and paste text from the private clipboard.
On "Private Clipboard" I had no way to find a remedy since the precondition for this app is that it would not need to use any permission to work.
In "Secure Clips" I used the "accessibility service" to give the possibility to copy and paste text to all editable fields, even in those cases where the apps overwrite the system menu and do not offer the " three dots" submenu. So, when you long click on an editable field, you see both the menu offered by the system to copy/paste etc. and also a popup window offering copy/paste from the private clipboard. Note that the use of "accessibility service" is not necessary if the apps do not overwrite the system menu.
Update
v. 2.0.1
Optimized the logic to automatically show and hide the popup.
Fixed a problem with the non-visible item "SecClips" in the submenu "three dots".
Bug fixes and minor improvements.
Update
v. 2.0.2
Added locale for French, German, Greek, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
Bug fixes and minor improvements.
Update
v. 2.4
New setting to see abbreviated text in the "three dots" sub-menu. This option is useful when default entries are truncated.
You can delete all clips from the clipboard. You can find the functionality in the context menu located on the page where the clips are displayed.
Bug fixes and minor improvements.
