Can't open s health nor s pay (device not rooted) - Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Questions and Answers

I repaired my phone in the Samsung services, when i got it back and want to open s health for exp, it says that my device is Rooted. Root checker is telling me that "root isn't installed properly". What can i do?

I would take your device back to the Samsung Service Center and ask them for further assistance. As they would know how to proceed with this issue.

[Q] Undo complete unroot so I can root again/remove roo completely...? help...

I have a Galaxy S3 mini GT-I8190L running android version 4.1.2, I rooted it using odin like a year 1/2 ago, but eversince I haven't been able to use the playstore, everytime I open it, it asks me to add a google account or to create a new one, both options lead to the same error message, "Couldn't sing in, can't establish a reliable connection to the server, blah blah" (I obviously have a working internet connection), I did some googling and apparently that's because I need to update it, but I can't receive any software updates because when I go to settings > about device> software update > update it shows "your device has been modified, blah blah", and I figured "it's because I'm rooted, oh well let's unroot", so I went to the SU app and hit "full unroot" (after some googling apparently that's the easiest way to unroot) and then I rebooted the device, still get the same message about being modified, so I'm stuck, can't use any rooted apps now, still can't use the store, still can't update, I'm a little frustraded and a little scared too because I don't know much about this and I really don't want to brick my phone without having a titanium backup.
Any help at all I'd aprecciate it, thanks in advance.

Hi,
As there is no way anyone here can be sure you are the rightful owner, the only advice we can give would be to take it to a T-Mobile store and have them reflash the stock firmware and hopefully recover your files first.
Android device manager lock is controlled with your Google account not Samsung account.
Good luck!

bricked p10

please bare with me cause i do not speak english very well
i have a huawei p10 (VTR-L09C521B108)
a couple weeks ago (3 if i'm not wrong) an update appeared (security update) so i updated my phone normally (i've never unlocked the bootloader nor installed anything custom).... the update got stuck like for 1 hour and a half at reboot (huawei logo not moving) so i soft reset the phone by holding the power button. Phone shuts down then vibrates and the text "Your device has failed verification and may not work properly." error and have to press the Power Key to continue booting"... pressed the power button... nothing happened, stucked on that screen.... so i soft reset it again.... same.
drastic decision: factory reset... so i entered the menu, first wiped the cache (all ok), then wipe all the data... error. DAMN!
drastic decision #2: download and recovery firmware over wifi (recovery)... connected to wifi... getting package info from server.... getting package info failed...... DAMN DAMN DAMN!
drastic decision #3: flash firmware via microSD: (don't know if i needed an unlocked bootloader to flash original stock firmware).... failed to update. GOOOOSH! WHAT I CAN DO!??!?!?
extra info: I CAN get into fastboot mode, as i said bootloader locked, frp locked (it's my device, i have the box and everything), i don't mind losing all my data.
what can i do?
any help?
thanks in advance
I'd contact customer service. This is suggested if you encounter issues when updating. Otherwise you need to unlock your bootloader, voiding warranty, or rely on paid services (DC Phoenix, FunkyHuawei).

Can I unlock the bootloader from fastboot?
I'm willing to pay for DC Phoenix or another service if I can unlock the bootloader in the state that my phone is.

Just send your phone at your customer service and say anything, you don't know why the phone stop working.
I have used this tips for my phone. I have failed an factory reset and my phone go bricked. I have said to the customer service "My phone stop working suddently" and the customer service thinks a update problem of the phone.
Result : They change my mother board for free ^^' The warranty still active

Google Pay not working - Phone not rooted

Hey,
I purchased a Samsung Note 8 (SM-N950F) a couple of years from Amazon.de. The phone was unlocked, since then new OS releases were really slow so I decided to download the Pie update from Sammobile and updated my phone via Odin. The phone is using official firmware and has never been rooted yet when I try to activate Google Pay I receive the following error; "Couldn't finish setup to pay in shop. This phone can't be used to pay in shops. This may be because it is rooted or altered in some other way."
I spoke to Samsung and told me to check a few things and they confirmed the phone is not rooted, I spoke to Google and they told me I should ask Samsung how to unlock the bootloader but Samsung said doing this would void my warranty. I'm a bit confused as to what to do, is there a stock pie rom I can use without voiding my warranty?
Thanks a lot, appreciate any help
Regards
p4rma
The only thig i can think of is that, the phone you've got has a CSC code of a region where Google Pay is not supported, or maybe you are living in a country that do not support Google Pay.
If you think I'm wrong, flash stock pie firmware.
Flashing stock offiicial binaries doesn't need your bootloader to be unlocked.
Thanks for the quick reply I will try this. Would Samsung have their own stock pie rom? Kinda wish I just waited for the pie update rather than flashing. Its annoying I can't use Netflix either as it says my device is not compatible.
I just checked and my bootloader is N950FXXU7DSJ1
Hey there,
I also faced the same issue when using GPay. I recommend trying these steps, might workout for you (it did for me):
Before doing this I recommend Backing your phone up, sometimes phone might erase user data but I didn't lose data.
1. Goto Settings > About Phone > Software Information > Build Number (Tap this thing 7 times). It should display a toast saying Developer options has been enabled.
2. Go back to Settings > Developer Options.
3. Turn on USB Debugging first, just in case.
4. See if OEM Unlock is turn on, if it is then turn it off.
5. Try turning it back on if it is turned off, you phone will reboot if you do so. Once rebooted, go back and turn it back off.
You shall be able to use Google Pay.
Note: These are the exact same steps that I did and it started to work for me.
As for changing CSC its a little complicated (by rooting its way easier but then you will lose Samsung Pay & some other Knox features). You will need to do a couple of steps and it also leads to erasing of user data.
If you don't wanna risk anything, why not try SPay. It might be supported in your country.

It has been permanently fixed for me, I never faced any issue with GPay after that method (I don't use Netflix though). Could you also see if you phone is updated to the latest version, if so also check if your phone has a fix for Stagefright.
To check if you are vulnerable to that exploit download this app it will tell you Click Here . If it fails, try OEM unlock as off and see, might fix it.
I really hope this issue doesn't come back for you.

Phone locked (6084) - please help me

Hello, I rooted my s20 FE 4g and uninstalled bloatware with Lucky Patcher. I always freeze the apps first to check if it works. Then I froze the "Device Services" app and my smartphone is now locked. Unfortunately, I also disabled USB debugging. Luckily I was able to connect the smartphone to the PC because I was fast enough to set up the data transfer. The smartphone still starts normally, but after about 5 seconds the message "Phone blocked (6084)" appears. "Your phone is blocked because Device Services was uninstalled without authorization." As I said, I just froze the app. Fortunately, in the 5 seconds before the message came, I was able to connect my smartphone to the PC to save data. How can I unlock my smartphone now? Please help me I'm desperate! Thanks!
Is there a way, a tool or something similar to unfreeze the app? It would probably be possible with ADB, but unfortunately, as I said, I disabled USB debugging.
a factory reset will bring device services back. or a less extreme method would be doing an install command for the correct package name for device services from ADB.
Factory reset check on this video if you can't boot into recovery.
