Hello,
I'm the owner of a Huawei P20 Pro in the Netherlands on the T-Mobile network.
In the Netherlands we use a Cell Broadcasting system called NL-Alert.
Now my problem is, the broadcast the signal on channel 919 and in my Huawei settings it is set to 4371.
I have really no idea how to change this.
Thanks in advance!
Greetings from Amsterdam!
Okko

What is your software region? Did you de-brand your phone?
I work in the Cell Broadcast industry and in many countries the broadcast channel is pre-set by regulation trough Cellular Operators. You might need to check this with T-Mobile.
I am from the netherlands also and using tmobile/tele2 and on my p20 pro it did work but last msg i got was on dec 3rd.
Received 2 nl alerts yesterday, on tmobile no issues

I think 3rd of December was the last test day for NL-Alert. They do it now twice a year. Would you please be so kind to look, on which channel you are (4371 or 919).
Thanks!

Search in English for "Emergency" and in Dutch for "Nood" in de system settings and you will probably find it!

I do not have this problem on my phone.
Do you have problems calling or texting the contacts that are added in this way?
Kind regards, Stefan.

Stefan,
No problems calling or texting.
If I edit the contact removing the double dash, it returns after edition. If I look on Google Contacts on my computer there is no issue.
Thanks
Laco.
I realize this happen with numbers with 9 digits plus area code (in Sao Paulo, Brazil, we have 9 digits cell phones numbers).

Just added the contact: 011988883333 and saved it without dashes here.
When I edit the contact also no dashes are present.
I see you say you are from Brazil.
Could you try to add the contacts with your country code +55 infront of them?
Just to see if it saves the number with dashes aswell?
Think the correct number would be: +5511988883333
For example myself Iam from the Netherlands and mobile numbers are 10 digits long:
0612345678 adding my country code +31 the number would look like: +31612345678
Also: Do you save your contacts as local contacts or?
I do save them local myself.
Kind regards, Stefan.
Stefan
Thanks for your reply.
I registered the number with +55 and the "double dashes" appears too.
I am in Brazil but my phone is from UK and I am using UK English as default language. Is the number format related with language? Based on what you said your phone does not format the number you typed.
My contacts are on Google Contacts and there the number is fine like on my iPhone I sync too.
Regards

Hello, new to the Nexus 6. I'm having a little issue. I keep getting an exclamation and an R, then back to H on my Nexus 6. I noticed that I wouldn't get connectivity if I didn't have Roaming enabled. I got it from Amazon Prime, which says it's a local edition of the Nexus 6 (not imported). And right now, for example, I'm on wifi. I see the Wifi symbol and then an R appears. It says I'm on roaming and then no? Hmm...
I've recorded this video of it, would you mind checking it out and letting me know?

Thanks.
Suggests that your service provider may have a weak signal in your area, or possibly they are experiencing technical difficulties (tower going on and off... I've seen this kind of thing happen lots of times). The fact that it switches to 3G/H *ever* means that it actually is compatible with your carrier.

I know it's not the issue. I have a note 4, same service provider. Also my partner has a z ultra and same service provider. No issues either.
I went into the sim toolkit and changed the roaming settings. Now let's see if it fixes the issue because it's driving me nuts. Lol.

I'm using a rom that is close to stock, I've had similar issue before. Try playing with the mobile data settings to see if this solves it. My carrier is Verizon.

Congstar in Germany (provider in Telekom-Network) now has VoLTE and WifiCall. Unfortunaltely, it works with almost all smartphones, BUT NOT with Huawei-Phones. My P30 Pro can't do VoLTE and WifiCall in Congstar-Network. If I put the SIM-card in other phones, it works.
There are customers from other providers that have the same problem with Huawei.
Why is that?
Yeah i searched to for some days now, and can not find any Option to activate VoLte here in Luxembourg with Tango Provider. I Phoned the Tech support and after 3 Persons i got someone that say to me that for now they only support Iphone and some Samsung Phones...
i will try to find someone with an other Provider and try with oder Sim Cards.
I think this is a very bad design choice from Huawei, to not even show the button, instead of a gray button and say it is not compatible with my Provider.
Model: VOG-L29
Build number: 10.0.0.186(C431E19R2P5)
Android 10
Security Patch 1 January 2020
But they don't do it.

I don't had any VoLTE option in the s20 and note 20 and I asked on the telegram groups about this and yeah if you have a call and LTE at the same time that means VoLTE it's working fine, by the way how I can get in to that menu?

Hi
My Three provider in UK are supporting WifiCall and working perfect on my p30 pro, my wife's p30 working perfectly either.
Regards
Working both for O2 in Germany. AFAIK those are options provisioned by your provider. If they didn't "approve" p30, it won't be enabled. Some providers have an annoying bias towards iPhone and major Samsung flagships. Had EE before for which WiFi calling was enabled but volte not.
Hi everyone,
I am about to purchase this phone, but I couldn't see the "ac" standard under WiFI (it is on gsmarena, but not on the local reseller website). Can someone confirm (or not) that Redmi 9 can (or can't ) connect to 5GHz networks via WiFi?
Thank you!
According to the official Website. Yes, it's support 5G wifi.

Thanks! I also went on mi.com and saw that, but I was wondering if anyone actually tested this.
Oh well, I guess I'll see tomorrow if it does, I took the risk and ordered it yesterday (green version).
I'll come back with a definite answer.

After some testing, I can now confirm that Redmi 9 connects to 5G WiFi network, and has a high speed ( 280 Mbps). This matches the results from a 2 year old flagship, that's good enough for me.
not in the Indian version
It does support 5Ghz wifi but not in India. Everywhere else it does.
hello,
i used my find x3 pro for a year. i got some problems on my phone about internet. first i thought its the problem of provider, after i visited the shop aber was told that it was nothing wrong about setups of provider. then i got a thought, that maybe my mobile was hacked. i downloaded an app : my device info and found something very strange, host: ubuntu-8-235 and user: root. i reseted my mobile complete and tested it again, host: dg02-pool03-kvm69 and user: root.
i got confused, why different host and why user root??? my mobile is a contract phone and never got rooted. does it mean something??
please help me.
thanks a lot.

What was the internet problem you are having?
As far as I know those build host and user are used by the internal engineers. Did you update your phone OS software after the factory reset? That might have resulted in different build host.
But I am not the expert in this area, maybe others can chime in
