As jio 4g is not supported in 2nd sim and can't use 4g from both sim cards of g4 plus, what additional futures we can get with g7 plus?
I am looking for both sims are active for 4g and able use without disabling one of them .

I don't know what jio is, but 4g works fine on both slots. Just on the second slot, during a call, it switches back to 3g, but that's not a problem at all, of course. But normal data on 4g is fine!

Looks like there are 100 other people who are just like me - don't know.
It looks like this would be possible with just a switch of APN's and checking a choice under "networks" or possibly it would auto choose the APN based on networks choice. But in practical application would it work?
I know i have switched b/w AT&T, T-Mobile, and VZW and it would recognize the network. Only network that wouldn't work for me was Sprint.
Verizon LTE phones require a Verizon SIM to work with both its CDMA network and its LTE network. If a Verizon SIM is not present in one of these devices, it won't work with either Verizon's CDMA network or its LTE network.

Yes, my question though is, for voice only on Verizon - without SIM just CDMA activation - Can a person have both and switch easily between them by activating the 3g data - voice via phone identification no SIM required with Verizon (pageplus) and a SIM for at&t (straighttalk or redpocket).

Ah, interesting. I hadn't thought about using a CDMA MVNO on Verizon. I know that if you are just using Verizon, CDMA activation without SIM won't work because Verizon is using the SIM to authenticate to its CDMA network on LTE-enabled phones. But for Page Plus, you may be able to manually program the CDMA activation without using a SIM? Have you manually programmed CDMA phones to work on Page Plus in the past, and if so, how does it work?

Yes, I have a Moto-G activated on pageplus. I called them up, gave the ph ID then called a Verizon activation number. Worked well.
My problem is I am on the edge where Verizon works a bit better (have to walk outside and find a reception area) at my home with AT&T not picking up except occasionally. If I had the cheap pageplus plan for Verizon (not LTE) and Redpocket or straighttalk activated on AT&T it would give me a bit of flexibility if I could do it on one phone.
I just don't know if it will work. Perhaps the Nexus 6 being a LTE device won't activate on pageplus as a 3g device.
I may just activate an AT&T MVNO SIM on data and just use hangouts and hangouts dialer. Use wi-fi at home and data SIM when about. Redpocket has a T-mobile 1 GB plan for $10/month; haven't yet tried Tmobile reception. I live in a cellular black hole.
Quick question for you dual SIM users.
Does the Moto G2 support 3G on both Sims?
I intend using two three SIM cards, but they only support 3G. So if SIM two is only working on 2G it would be no good to me.
Thanks
The data connection is for one sim only, you get to choose if you use data on sim one or two, data is automatically change sim, for example from 3g sim1/2g sim2 to 2g sim1/3g sim2
Thanks, I'm with you. So with my two three Sims there would be only one SIM on at any one time.
I have I signal SIM moto g1 now, and if I switch to 2g only the three SIM no longer works.

Both Sim work at the same time while I'm using 3g in any Sim.
Data is available only for one Sim at a time, but the change is really fast and automatic when you select which Sim to use for data
I use mine with same carrier, it uses the 850mhz band.
Remember this phone is dualsim standby, it means if you're using voice in one Sim the other is unreachable.

Yes just on most networks if you are on 2G the sim still works. On three they don't.
A three SIM won't work on 2G no calls text or anything.
So even with both sims in standby only one would receive calls, am I right?
Only way to receive calls on either SIM (from standby) on a moto g is if at least one SIM works on 2G?

I've own two dual sim phones s4mini (lost it) an this moto g 2014, both are stated as dual sim standby, I haven't notice any difference in the way they handle simcards/data/voice.
On both phones I've use same carrier/numbers, one is personal (same number for 10+ years) the other from work (same number for 5+ years).
I've never missed a call on either Sim.
Even if I'm downloading something I can receive calls and text messages on that sim the download stops but my phone core functionality is still a phone for both simcards with any combination of data in 2g/3g or 2g/2g.
I'm never going to carry two separated phones, for me is enough the dualisim standby functionality.
For you is a pain that your carrier don't support 2g network any dual sim standby won't work, you need a dual sim phone with two separate modems

Thanks for confirming that, only other thing I can do is use one SIM and activate call divert on the other number.
That's the main drawback with three only supporting 3G/4G
Hi guys. My Mix is 6GB\256GB Pro version.
I am running Dev rom 7.3.2 (I am trying to unlock).
My Issue is I recently started to use both sim slots but for whatever reason
SIM #2 always shows as running as 3G.
I am unsure whether or not both these slots support 4G and any guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks.
I have my sim in slot 2 and have 4G LTE [US - SC] on T-Mobile, I haven't populated the first sim slot.
Thanks for the input
I have T-Mobile in 1 and verizon in 2, both working under 4G. However, I'm having issue with volte...
Hi.
I have two 4G sims in my phone, I wish to use Data from one sim and Dial via VoLTE from other sim, but I can't.
The sim that is set for Internet only works the other Sim is blank.
Or is it that only if other sim has 3G data it can work?
Can anyone help.
Xiaomi mi5 is 4g+3g standby. You can use Volte from the 4g sim and data from the 3g sim.
mi 5 supports only one sim slot to be used as LTE at a time. Jio does not have any network other than LTE so your second jio sim will not work because of absence of 2g/3g network in Jio.
Hello,
I've this Moto G5S Plus and I can't find any way to enable 4G on both the SIM simultaneously. I've one Reliance Jio (4G only) SIM and another Airtel. I want to use the 4G internet of Airtel and also, want to have the Jio enabled for the incoming calls.
It happens that when I turn mobile data from Airtel, it gives an option to enable 4G network for Airtel and the Jio is disabled (as it's 4G only). If I set the mobile data to Jio, it works fine but Airtel can only have 2G or 3G signals.
What I want is having 4G networks enabled on both the SIM simultaneously.
Has anyone done the same? Any help/suggestions?
Thanks

Not possible. This device doesn't support it.
