So.. here it is everyone! OneUI! Now, why am I posting a buggy build? Well, I wanted to wait with OneUI release until I fix most bugs but tons of people want it and obviously not everyone is in my group so this way they will find it faster then asking everyone for my group link etc. This rom also has currently highest priority and I'm spending as much time as I can on it, to fix all bugs. I'll keep on updating other roms (don't worry). Keep in mind that currently it's just a test build and for some people it might be good enough to be used as a daily driver if they have another phone for calls, but for most it's just a build that they can flash, play with it, and wait for more updates. This rom has the strongest security ever so don't expect me to fix all bugs quickly (I mean miracles happens but still). I'm working really hard on this one. Also, no need for reporting bugs as I already have a bug list from myself and other users so yeah. Software wise it's a pretty stable build. And I'd also like to give HUGE THANKS to Guzram, he helped me a lot with OneUI and other roms so make sure to tap Thanks on his posts and PM him on Telegram @guzram and tell him Thank You! Anyway! Enjooooooy! :highfive::laugh:
What works:
Sound
WiFi
Bluetooth
GPS
DRM (YT video + audio)
Brightness (kinda)
Camera (Tested with OpenCamera)
Flashlight (Tested with Flashlight toggle)
What doesn't work / Bugs:
NFC
Alert Slider(duh?)
Auto Rotation toggle doesn't do anything so keep it disabled.
Brightness goes from 50% at the minimum to 100% very quickly so You can only use 50,75,100% within 1mm of slider length.
Vibrations
FP Scanner
AOD brightness is always 100%
RIL
Samsung Cloud has problems with logging in.
Bixby probably would work but has to be updated. (Use APKMirror and try!)
Probably more stuff. Working on fixing all bugs.
How to Install:
Make sure You're on Pie OB8 firmware! 6T users try 9.0.7 + custom kernel.
Note: Backup Your nudes before flashing the rom! It will wipe Your internal storage.
Extract the zip somewhere.
Reboot to fastboot and plug Your phone in.
Double tap on flasher_windows.bat (Don't run it as admin)
Boot TWRP
Copy OneUI Backup folder to Your TWRP/backups/... directory.
Restore OneUI.
During SetupWizard disable WiFi and skip all steps.
After finishing SetupWizard make sure to install Chrome.apk that's inside the zip or else Play Store won't work.
Done! Enjoy Your rom!
Check screenshots in attached images!

I will! I'm working on it almost every day for as many hours as I can. Today I'm going to focus on fixing camera. And after that I'll work on Fp scanner and then RIL. Or I'll let people vote in my group once camera is fixed. Just remember that fixing bugs doesn't happen overnight.. so please be patient.. I'm really trying to do my best with this rom. Sometimes bugs can be fixed quickly and sometimes they take some time..
Flashed rom and I get phone is starting optimizing app 1 of 346 all the way to 346 then the screen tuns black and it bootloops on the same message. I am on 6t but every time i try to flash a custom kernel i get error 1 in twrp. Any help?

If OP6 vendor doesn't work on 6T then I can't do much without the device.. Cause I'd have to run my patcher on 6T to patch vendor etc.
Here it is guys! Another Test Build. In this one we finally managed to fix camera and flashlight, I only tested Open Camera cause I forgot how to setup gcam. Photos have good quality and are 16mpx. So next bug that we're going to fix is RIL. This one will take some time.. I think lol.. Later once RIL is fixed I'm going to work on improving all working features.
Changelog:
Fixed Camera
Fixed Flashlight
Added lots of vendor leftovers
Improved performance a bit.
Improved battery life.
Rom generates a lot less heat now than before.
Removed Email app (can be dowloaded in Galaxy Apps probably or apkmirror) to save some space in vendor.
Download:

I looking forward to trying this on my oneplus 6 - I wonder if my Samsung gear s watch would work on this rom, I have not been able to get it working on any of the roms I tried so far

please contact the developers or maintainers. We are not liable for anything

As long as you are responsible, some companies such as OnePlus

Don't be stupid and bet on that though, please be responsible for what you do.
We prohibit you from overclocking to 1337 GHz thinking, that an OEM would

We recommend you to take the advice above regardless.
halogenOS Checklist
Although no data should be lost or damaged by the flashing process,
we advise you to follow the following steps if you are coming from another rom:
Please take a full nandroid backup!
Please copy your back up to an external device.
Backing up your Internal Storage is also recommended.
When completed, please clean flash the build!
Although you usually can dirty flash halogenOS over other ROMs, considering the other
ROM has the same Android version, it is not guaranteed. In case of serious
crashes please do a clean flash.
This is a ROM that is currently in an beta state.
XOS is a new generation cutting-edge OS for Android based on Code Aurora Forum releases.
What is XOS?
halogenOS, also known as XOS is a new Android ROM which ships with the global aim to
become a modular ROM which keeps as high as potentially possible operating
performance on your mobile device while still maintaining a sufficient feature
base of nice, small and minimal features that would not be available via any
external feature base, extension, mod or plugin.
We hope you have a truly halogenified experience!
Internals of XOS
At core, the ROM is composed mainly of components from CodeAuroraForums (CAF),
featuring only extremely minor set of components from CyanogenMod (CM) which
have been added to source in order to allow for better cross-device compatibility.
Our LOVE to others
A huge thanks goes to those behind the CodeAuroraForums (CAF), the CyanogenMod
organization and all of its
contributors for the sources used in the development of the base ROM which we
started with inclusive of all the work and dedication their team puts in order to
keep us updated on the awesome contributions that they make.
We will be keen on ensuring that we be up to date with the code from our base sources,
with regular ROM updates hopefully coming from time to time.
Please do not ask for ETA's (else you shall be spooked by Mr Skeltal). Almost all of us are
students, and with the current lifestyles and routines we have, it is not that easy to acquire
time to develop the ROM, though we'll be sure to keep you updated and release OTAs as
soon as they are available and ready for publication. If you want to be really updated quick,
then join us on Telegram: http://telegram.me/halogenos
Visit our website for features such as: Downloads, Information etc.

(Not finished yet)
Common stuff
Known issues:
No backlight for hardware keys
Please use Footej camera for video recording (4K supported) or Google Camera (1080p).
Navbar section in SystemUI Tuner crashes
Known issues are going to be fixed as soon as possible. We don't have infinite time.
Planned features (don't ask for these!):
Lockscreen Visualizer (This time we are going to make it ourselves. Since on CM-based ROMs the lockscreen visualizer causes the infamous QuickSettings Bug, we are making a new implementation)
Navigation bar & Hardware Keys toggles
Heads-Up toggle
Hardware buttons backlight
And more stuff I don't remember now
Highlights :
Substratum
Full media support (FFMPEG, video codecs, ...)
Great Audio quality, no distortions, no crap
Optimized many portions of the system including surfaceflinger, inputflinger, System Server, and more
Super fast boot
Superuser-capable
Great battery life
Soundmod support (not all soundmods work on Nougat, it's not our fault)
addon.d support (backups your gapps etc. when flashing new build - don't wipe system before flashing!)
init.d support
BusyBox
Disabled Access Time for all partitions (We don't need access time. When access time is enabled, it will store the exact date of the access when a file is accessed, what just wastes write cycles (in theory) and has impact in I/O performance.)
Super smooth
Signature Spoofing toggle (Support for MicroG)
Support for trusted third-party WebViews like Chrome
Long press on home for assist toggle
Security Patches in kernel
OpenGapps (Mini/Micro/Nano recommended) and Banks GApps support
Full KeyHandler & KeyDisabler support
Dexpreopt for faster (first) boot time and less space consumption on data partition
Upgrade & Boot the ROM in just 5 minutes - no more endless waiting for flashing a new build
Very high compatibility with other ROMs
Warning: You should not use SuperSU by Chainfire, as that breaks sensors on Nougat ROMs for Redmi Note 3 .
Instead, please flash this zip and install the phh's superuser app from Play Store: Phh's Superuser
How to update the ROM:
Download the latest zip
Reboot into TWRP (Please use official TWRP)
Do not wipe anything
Flash the ROM
Reboot
You don't need to wipe Cache/Dalvik.
You don't need to flash gapps again. There is some magic going on which keeps your GApps. Just make sure that you don't wipe system before flashing.
You don't need more than 5 minutes.
Supported Kernels
Stock kernel. (Great battery - Performance ratio) (recommended)
You can actually flash any custom kernel on this rom.
CM kernels are usually supported, especially those that are delivered as an
AnyKernel package.

OK, its pretty simple so I'm not gonna fill up the page with useless junk,
this source is pure caf and some code is modified with some optimization/device/substratum commits.
The Aim is to keep it as close to AOSP as possible,
if you want any features added go to the plenty of other ROMs available.
This is for folks like me who want a clean rom as close to pure aosp as possible.
What's CodeAurora Forums ?Code Aurora Forum (CAF) is a consortium of companies with projects serving the mobile wireless industry. Software projects it concerns itself with are e.g. Android for MSM, Femto Linux Project, LLVM, MSM WLAN and Linux-MSM. Code Aurora is basically AOSP plus all Qualcomm specific enhancements and optimization.

I just see forks of forks & some cherry picking that is rather bad documented (which doesn't mean it's bad, just impossible tracking) at the end the same Strix & Lineage base.
Edit: hmmm some of cherry picks do look interesting enough for tracking but that will be very hard thing to do.

Sure.
in my SOT might not be the best judge for battery life as I don't keep my phone in use throughout the day.
I use it intermittently. So, a flat battery graph when not in use is of particular importance.
It will obviously translate to better SOT but that will be more organic and original.
Not like other SOT champions who keep doing stuff till the last drop of battery to report 15 hours of SOT.
I see a tendency towards flat lining when resting with your script.
I just wish you add more stuff to it as you mentioned.
You might also discuss with jerry to add to make his flashable zola script complete.

pretty smooth so far, but phone was restart and into looping stage afterward, I can get into TWRP and wipe out and reinstall this ROM and it happened again. So I did wipe out and restore my original ROM and phone was restart again and into lopping stage. I have tried many times, same issue even I can get into TWRP, deleted everything.
I don't know how to sort out the issue, please guide me for the way to fix it up, many thanks.

Working on brightness issue.
For screen color I already mentioned the temp fix. It only happens when we reboot. Otherwise ot works normal.
Thanks for the rom, it is working as expected but with some hardware incompatibility. Is it made from sources or did you port it from other devices like redmi note 4?
Thanks for the ROM, based on LOS, no FP and IR ?? staying with Xuefer's build..

CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
We recommend MindTheGApps. OpenGApps should work, but please make sure you clearly mention the gapps you're using when reporting bugs.
Notice:
For this ROM to work you need to use the latest ODM Images. If you need additional guidance on how to do that, please refer to Sonys Guide on how to flash an ODM Image.

No one tried this rom yet? I have a problem over here. It keeps asking for password after the CarbonROM logo even though I wipe everything clear, any ideas? What I was doing was flash 41.3.A.2.99 with everything wiped, flash ODM, flash TWRP, flash the rom and then Pico OpenGapps. Something wrong with my procedure? Thanks in advance.
EDIT1 : Oh yeah, forgot to mention my device is F8332, it isn't supported?

Use the "format data" option in TWRP to get rid of encryption, wipe doesn't clear encryption. If coming from stock, thats necessary unfortunately due to differences in the encryption used. Otherwise (if coming from AOSP) the password its asking for would be the one you used before.
Dual sim support?

No it isn't. At least out of the box. You can find a patch on Sony AOSP Build thread.
Volte Supported??
First of all, thanks alot @Myself5 and all other devs, who are working hard to bring this to our XZ :good:
My experiences after 1 day:
- rom is very smooth and snappy.
- root via Magisk v16 & Xposed 90.1-beta3 (systemless) works flawlessly
- the fp sensor always works, but it's not as sensitive as with stock
- night light worked - until I've installed Substratum and a Substratum theme, but after that it doesn't work anymore (even after deactivating, uninstalling the theme, a system restart and deinstalling the Substratum app it sill doesn't work). Also a dirty flash of the rom.zip didn't help to get it working again.
- the build-in camera takes acceptable pics (not as well as the stock camera, but acceptable); also focussing is a little slower than stock. Another thing is, it's not possible to chance the location to save the pics to the ext. sdcard.
- formatted as a portable storage, the ext. sdcard item on the left of the status bar can't be removed (see attachement)
- the battery consumption is a bit high (from 100 % to 98 % in 1 h - without doing anything)
But in the whole, it's really promising for th 1st official build :good::good::good:

Hello, is the battery life when used good ? As good as stock ?
And does it have that bug when if you record video the result will be green ?
Can you upload screen recording of rom from home to settings and other functions.
I plan on flashing this soon, but I figured I'd tell you, your link to the Carbon FAQ is broken.

The battery consumption while in use is ok. But my device doesn't go into deepsleep while the screen is off. So I had lost about 23 % in 10 hrs - leaving the device untouched!
Video recording works; I haven't noticed that bug.

Sorry, I went back to stock for now, as there's a new stock fw (41.3.A.2.107).
I have a few bugs to report. First, the fingerprint sensor is extremely slow, about half or even one third of the speed compared to stock. Second, could you guys please fix the deepsleep? That one is not working for now. And third, Night Light does not work at all...
Thank you for updating the XZ to Android 8.1 I am glad to see carbon rom on this device although it is not that stable for now.
Really nice ROM and I'm looking forward to make this my daily driver, I tried it for two days and these are the bugs I found:
1: GPU performance is really bad with 2d games and google maps lagging all the time when they never do on stock
2: CPU performance is inferior compared to stock, especially single threaded
3: enabling 120 hz display won't do anything and the settings or UI will crash when leaving the page
4: fingerprint seems to be sometimes less responsive, usable but can be improved
Camera is not so bad and the modded google camera works well, hopefully this will become the first proper AOSP based platform for this device that has only seen failures until now, keep up the good work.
Can I dirty flash this rom for just update?
I use Carbon Rom 3/31 version, but I can't use delta update because my device cannot receive the stock script.
I must change the rom script with Notepad+.
So...can I use dirty flash or....could you manage it?
Thanks for continously updating this rom and thank you for fixing the bug with the fingerprint sensor.
I'm not sure if deepsleep has been fixed but there is a big problem with playing music. I can't even play any music track at all...
Hello, looking forward to make this my daily driver, is it possible ?
What I would want is decent battery life and camera.
Hello. I tried to listen to music after installing the ROM, but the earphones are disconnected as soon as they are connected to the smartphone.
The earbuds pfe 132 and are made up of earphones with an iphone microphone.

Clean flashed the 10th build along with Rytekk's dual-SIM patch, Pico Open GApps and Magisk 16.3 to my F8332 and other than that annoying SD notification (which can be banished to the notification drawer by making System UI notifications low priority) and Night Light not working, the only other major issue raised ITT of the CPUs not entering Deep Sleep is fixed according to Adiutor.
Great stuff. I haven't been able to standardise on one ROM since the CM days (interesting side note, it looks like you built the kernel for the NOCT build on my Z2 tablet).
I recommend this to anyone for daily use. Also, lower your expectations to realistic levels guise. I remember when XDA threads were for flagging major broken functionality, not complaining that a few amateur enthusiasts weren't putting out work that competed on every indicator against the finished product of a multibillion-dollar for-profit international conglomerate.

how do you manage all the ROMs? no disrespect but some of your ROMs were left with bugs just like the Pixel 3 XL port. no development for that after MIUI 10 was released. does that mean that MIUI 10 will now be abandonded because you are now working on this Samsung port, what's next EMUI?
Thank you so much for your efforts
Hats off to you literally..
. I really wish you find the brightness fix. ?

Pixel 3 XL Port was abandoned because You can use Havoc and other AOSP roms without bugs and get same UI etc.
MIUI 10 Pie and 6T Port will be updated every time new security patch comes out. (Not on day one). Soon I will release MCLaren Port for OP6 and MIUI 10 Pie Global update.

You can disable Auto Brightness, change screen off timer to 10 minutes and then use Automate brightness profiles to set brightness to any level You want. It's a temporary fix. I tried using SEx with it and.. it wasn't actually that bad :silly: It's like changing brightness but on home screen instead of notification bar.

Man, you are a machine!
What dou you think, would you be able to fully port the OOS cam to work on other custom ROM's?
I mean not only the app works, but get the same photo results. On custom ROM's, the software use a different processing, not the one tuned by Oneplus.
I believe it is hardcoded somewhere in OOS framework.
I would really like to replace the OOS, but all the custom ROM's has very bad camera quality.
This is why I liked the Codename Phoenix on OP5.
Nice work man!

The dev is doing all this "FREE", he could also charge you if he wanted to, again he is sharing his completed or uncompleted projects for "FREE". If you have an issue with one of the ROMs, move on to another ROM, this ROM isn't cater to you only.
I tried booting on that rom but after the bootloader warning, it gets to the dumpcrash or something no matter the kernels I have flashed so far
AMAZING! When you are able to fix the notch and the brightness is fixed, I am for sure gonna try this rom out. The Samsung CAMERA works too! Great Job! Also, yeah what phone is this samsung experience version from?
