THANK YOU but......
Thanks it worked now. But I was wondering if there's a way to make the volume of the ringtones and notification tones lounder cause it seems a bit quiet on my LG G3. I know that audacity will let you put a gain on tracks but I'm not sure about .ogg files cause I know my phone is louder then what the volume is now I am also running Cyanogen Mod 12 waiting for verizon to release the update for it.

I have used an app called Ringtone Maker in the past to increase the volume of ringtones directly on my phone. But Audacity has OGG export and import functionality built in so you can also use it.
We are not going to get all the features in Pixel in 7.1. Im hoping after someone does get an unlocked version we can get the features. But it looks like it will only be exclusive to Pixel phones including the launcher
May I ask will Nexus 6 get any more security updates as they come down or no?
Or after Nougat thats it plain and simple?
Thanks In advance
The Launcher is an app. I'm already using an older version of it.

No more major Android upgrades, but security updates for at least another year.

After 7.1 that will be it for the 6 i believe. They say the 6 is iffy on getting the 7.1 and it will be a dev preview if we get it and it will be before end of year.

The new launcher will be hard to get until someone gets the phone then im sure we will have it
who cares about updates?
If the phone runs fine, has great specs, and dev support, no one cares about any of this update non sense..
Do you REALLY care if you get the Pixel launcher on this phone, when Nova already blows it away??
Security updates???? You root your phone, don't you, so you obviously dont care that much about "Security"
This obsession with "updates" is really nothing more than a learned dysfunction...

So, I get it, the Pixel is too expensive for me too. But so was the 6 and the 6P. I bought the 6 after it's been out a year. And the Pixel XL is obviously a good phone, even if we disregard all the PR rubbish they said. Well I couldn't give a critter's backside for the Google Assist, but if it sells more phones, good for them. But the camera is superb for the first time, and the screen looks great, and it's optimized for that hardware. That means a no lag Android phone.
If all the above is true, then it should compete with the Galaxy S, and the iPhone line.

It was already mentioned yesterday from the SVP of Google that we will not see all the Pixel exclusive features in 7.1 unless you buy that said phone. They may agree later to expand to other phones just not sure
aside from the better camera, I am not sure many real Nexus "fans" care about any of the so called "features" of 7.1 or the Pixel line itself..

agreed; I tried Allo and duo, but after reading how intrusive and spy ware based they are, I got rid of them..plenty of other choices out there that do the same thing..

We don't know if it'll work for Qualcomm s7 in general yet. But if so then yeah hopefully.

Same. I'm waiting for the s9. Be sweet to have a custom recovery and Rom on this thing though.
This would be awesome, although I'm not holding my breath.

He looked at it, responded back to me. He was asking me to build a special cable that I'm not able to make. I'm not sure if he has others testing or not. But he did say at first glance the bug that he exploited on other variants did not appear to be present.

I caved, and was sick and tired of problems. I had 4 S7Es, 2 Nexus, and 2 S5s, my boyfriend's on his 2nd LG, my friend's S7E has extremely bad screen burn. My daughter has never had an issue with her iPhone. I went out and bought one. If I can't have root, I might as well have an Apple. At least the battery isn't dead by lunch.

Does your AT&T plan include tethering? Because I'm pretty sure the iPhone checks to make sure you are allowed before turning it on as well.
That said, I'm also bummed about the root situation, but for other reasons. I did find a pretty good firewall in NetGuard, and (ironically) the Package Disabler app that only works on Samsung devices was able to disable most of the bloat. Only the ability to backup and restore individual apps (or even just their data) is missing, and why I still wish I had root.
(yes, I know I can use ADB for some backups, but I'm not sure downgrades are possible that way)
Question. I have never rooted my note8 it has all the latest updates from samsung I use to root my phones all the time but I never did on this one. I for some reason have tried every method to get OEM Unlock to show but I can not get it to show up. I have had developer options open for the last 2 months waiting for OEM option to show up. But it still hasent. I have owned this phone for a year now. Is there no way? I have tried the setting date backwards, But like I said I have owned it for almost a year and had developer options open for at least 2 months.
So you are on stock firmware without OEM

It doesn't work on the snapdragon models unless you use a specific factory firmware combination rom.
Yeah Stock Firmware everything is stock. But its not possible to install a factory firmware rom without OEM right? Its crazy how much the phone seems to be locked down.

No it's possible to install only official Samsung firmware. If you're phones the snapdragon SM-N950U version and you're on bootloader version 5 you can't root or do anything else at the moment until we figure out how to unlock the bootloader and we haven't yet. We've only managed to get root for bootloader version 1, 2 and 3 but you're most likely on version 5 now if you're on the latest firmware.. In order to get the OEM unlock to basically be like it's "off" is to make sure you either have no gmail account or any other account on the phone at the time if you do and you boot into download mode you'll see FRP is set to on meaning that OEM unlock is set to on if you remove the accounts by using the RESET option in settings and then go back to download mode you'll see that it's now set to off.. That's pretty much what that does.. And yes these phones are locked down like there's no tomorrow even T-Mobile brand which used to be able to unlock the bootloader are now locked down also and this is because of several reasons some being because of banking and credit card information being in the phone and then because Samsung wants the government and businesses to use their phones too but the government and businesses won't unless they're secured like hell which basically makes those of us who want to root and rom screwed..
Well thats too bad. Guess I will just not worry about it. This is probably the way of the future. Companies will just release phones that are completely closed source.

They really shouldn't be doing this on Android though because Android is open source and we should be allowed to do it for that reason but unfortunately that's just the way it is.. HTC is starting to look better to me because at least they allow you to decide if you want to forfeit your warranty and root and unlock the bootloader but Samsung won't..

PPR1.180610.011.N950USQU5DSC1
I have the Samsung Galaxy S10 Prism White SM-G973U Snapdragon US Cellular. It is running Android 10. With the security patch of March 1, 2020. The build number is: G973USQS3CTB5.
My question is, is there a TWRP build for this phone? And can this phone work with Project Treble GSI?
The bootloader is locked so no root or TWRP for any U.S. or Canadian variants aside from the Sprint 5G version.

I've heard how locked bootloaders work and I still think that someday we can find a way around it. I know about TrustZones. I know about all of those things and I still think that I can do it. I'm not saying it'll be easy. I'm still learning how to program so it might be a while before you see my TrustZone security crack but trust me, I WILL DO IT! This is not a ****post btw.

i think u are mistaken.. if u supposedly removed emmc then howd you write anything to the device?
you are simply saying things ppl dont really know what it even means but not providing any details or proof of what you are claiming to have done.
even if wat ur saying is remorely true it doesnt sound like you were successful, seems to be a hardware mod as well as you damaged the device among other issues which tells me even if you arent blowing hot air that it isnt obtaining root, twrp or anything and isnt going to apply to the avg user.
ppl can take what you say with a grain of salt. you arent the first random person to pop in claiming to achieve what no one has achieved in years and in the end turned out to be bogus.
with that being said i hope you prove me wrong but without more info or proof i will continue to believe its fake news.
