I need to change my battery so I think about changing the backcover too, as it is glued.
Does anyone have a photo of a clear backcover mounted on the mi 6?
Are there any fancy LEDs which would really turn me off at night?

I have done this, since I had broken my back glass I decided to replace it with a transparent one (although I'm pretty sure it's not really glass but plastic), I did like the end result, kinda, should have passes a sharpie on the white part of the battery magic sticker and removed the IMEI sticker, but It's fine I guess.

Correct but the part it says true clarify...okay that's seriously underrated
I hate any screen protectors claiming "Anti-Fingerprint" or "Anti-Glare" they have an ugly matte finish coating on them that do a job but ruins the look of the screen. Try to look for any thing that doesn't have "Anti-Fingerprint" or "Anti-Glare" on the packaging to get a clear HD screen protector. Good luck:victory:

The hard cover is dead, you can't remove it without opening your whole phone (and it would be dangerous for the camera captor)
the transparent cover your friend was talking about was may be the one that comes with it out of the box just like on the screen .. these scratches are on the camera back cover and it has to be replaced.
guys
the SGN of my friend has an un- scratchable camera cover !!!!
Don't know what he has. But my notes camera cover has tiny scratches as well. No un scratch able cover out of the box
Do you use some hard cover/hard case on your cell phone?
Because I use it and this is the reason why its lens are intact till now.
Hope it helps.
mmmmmmmm thank you guys
so i think my best option now is to go samsung center and have the back cover replaced entirely
You can get just the camera cover on eBay. I always use a case to stop this. The cut out is high enough to keep it like new
From box 13......
So is the flip cover that comes default with this
Hey guys!
My phone started having troubles with the touch (how unexpected right?)
Well, the thing is, when I was gonna remove the digitizer connector cable, I tried pulling the black plastic thing backwards instead of flipping it up.
Reason I did this was because I've repaired a few laptops and they had the type of connector were you pull the plastic thing back to release the connector.
The black plastic thing broke off in half so now I can't securely connect the digitizer anymore.
So, question is, can I get a replacement? I took one from another old HTC phone but it's not the correct one. (Lenght wise is correct, but not with the holes for the pins)
At 1:54 it shows the thing I'm talking about.
Youtube link (imbedded link didnt work)
Also attaches a printscreen of it for less hassle.

The black plastic piece that shows is the one I'm talking about!
Better view:
I don't even know the name of these parts so I don't even know what to search for. Please help me out guys.
Probably best way is to buy a new complete connector and remove the black plastic piece and fasten it onto the phones one.
Kind regards,
Tony
EDIT: Note sure if it's the same, but found this on ebay:

Is this the same type?
Nobody?
My battery is bulging enough that it popped the back off my transparent edition. I jumped on iFixIt, saw the wonderful tutorial, bought all the gear recommended on the page and the very first problem I have is that the screws in the instructions are phillips #00. Unfortunately the ones on my phone have 5 points, not 4. I need a screwdriver recommendation so I don't destroy these tiny things.

If you go to the tutorial, click on the photo detailing the 10 screw locations, the regular Mi9 they were working with is clearly phillips #00. I found a few other repair images online and all of them are the non-explorer edition style. I'm assuming they used different screws to make it prettier for the transparent cover?
easy, just use a flat screwdriver that fits inside with little play and twist. works like a charm

Isn't that going to destroy the head? The star pattern means you can't go straight across with a flathead. I assume these are like the Apple pentalobe screws.
Don't worry, I have done it many times just replace this line with your screwdriver.

I went ahead and grabbed a 0.8mm star(P2 Pentalobe) screwdriver off Amazon. I'm not sure what screwdrivers you have but my smallest one for glasses was too wide to fit like you pictured. Thanks for the advice though.
I can't find information elsewhere on the internet, so I thought I would confirm here. I just purchased this phone and where the metal border meets the glass screen at the top, there is a very thin gap. It begins just before the decorative matte strip at the top. It became more noticeable (assuming dust is getting in) the more I've been talking on the phone.
Is this the speaker?
upload a photo of it, personally I don't recognise what you're describing.
I just peeled back my case enough to look, yes that seems to be the speaker opening.

You have to zoom in. The gap starts and ends where I posted the arrows. I can fit a folded post it inside it by about 1mm.
All I can assume is that this is the speaker location.
yes I have that too. I had never noticed it until you prompted me to look.
thinking about it, it would be weird if nothing was there.
nice colour choice BTW

Yes I believe it's a speaker as well.
