Was wondering why the device would give me a blinking red led notification. It was off charge and battery was at 65%. The notification that were present were outlook, Ebay and android messages. Cheers. I've also attached recent notifications screen shot.

Are you sure it wasn't trying to scan your iris to unlock the phone?

Iris unlock is off, I only use fingerprint and pin. The device was on a table blinking red led.

According to your screenshot it's a Visual voicemail notification.

Not Ebay or Outlook or Messages? I had those three notification icons present at the time funnily enough visual voicemail or voicemail icon wasn't present. Although the screen shot says otherwise, the screen shot also omits messages.

Hi guys
I just upgraded my HTC One to Android 4.4.3 with Sense 6 using a custom rom (MaximusHD 42.0.0).
When I recieve a text message, I naturally see a notification of this on my lockscreen (see picture).
If I tap on the notification, nothing happens, only for the visual representation that I pressed it (colors change a bit).
I would assume that the message app would open when I tap the notification.
If I remember correctly, the correct behaviour was available in Sense 5/5.5
Could this be a mistake in the custom rom or just an overal feature missing from Sense 6?
It's really stupid to unlock the phone + slide down the notification center and press the notification.

It's sense 6 feature. You can slide down in order to get that rectangle and then click on message and it will open. For notification bar you don't need to unlock your phone. Just pull down whith screen on

Thanks!
It works now, but it's pretty weird and inconvenient if you don't know that it works that way.
Anyway, thanks man!

Noticed there are dots on the display the run symmetrically up and across the screen. They are faint but when in direct sunlight they shimer sort of and it's a little annoying. Cant notice in regular lighting. Anyone else notice this or should I try to send back?
I have this too

I have this too, i do not think it is a defect and i do not have any problems with the lines and dots. You should speak to a sony representative and ask them what it is.
I probably should have done a google search before posting. Seems like it is the digitizer. Grid patterns thats how the touch screen works. It's normal. I guess I need to stop being a little girl about this phone.lol

@Notchr302 I noticed it too the other night at a store. Because of the configuration I figured it was the digitizer but I have never seen one so obvious.

Every now and then when I wake my phone I see a black lockscreen. The only thing on the screen is the clock. My wallpaper and notifications are not shown. Sometimes tapping the screen will fix it. Other times I have to press the power button to put the phone back to sleep then wake it again.
I can't track down exact steps to repro, it seems to be random.
Has anyone else seen this? Any idea what causes it?
S6 edge, stock, non-rooted
This is what I see

How do you turn it off?
What's the purpose of it?
Settings, motion gestures , smart alert
Its just a way to show you your missed alerts and conserve battery
Interesting. In the screen shot above I had alerts (notice the green edge notification). If I swiped it right the contact image appears but no message. I also had some unread emails.
Anyway, it's not something I would use so I'll turn it off. Thanks for your help!
thats not from smart alerts. i have mine off and it does the same thing
Lock screen always on and black fix
To fix this problem pull down your extended quick tab list and un check the display always on option. This should fix you right up.
I recently upgraded to a Note 5 from the Galaxy S5 active. It was very easy to set on the S5 but I cannot get my unread text message notification repeat setting to work on the Note 5. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Settings/ Accessibility/ Notification reminder
Choose the ones you want.
Good luck
I've set it there and it still doesn't work. Oddly enough I downloaded Textra and used it for about 2 weeks and it worked fine with that app, just not the messages app.

There isn't an option there to set repeat notifications.

I don't have that option on that screen. I have everything except repeat message alert.
I've had Note 5 for 6 months and repeat notifications has been driving me CRAZY! I looked everywhere (I thought) for a setting to disable it. Thank you for pointing me to this setting!
No more turning my phone OFF at night to stop it making noises every minute! (Even with Do Not Disturb enabled!)
Is there any other solution to turn the notification off, it keeps telling me its consuming battery.
CheersView attachment 4578609

Try long pressing on the notification and see if the menu pops up to turn that notification off
It does, but it would only give me option to turn of battery consumption off globally for android.

I also face this problem on S8+ when trying disable Adguard notification. Only 1 option to disable Android System notification .
Samsung should let users customizable Android System notifications like Xiaomi as attached pic
I never get the accubattery notification on my Note 8. I wonder if it's an 8.1 thing?
