You haven't missed anything. In some region's performance mode doesn't exist. Your hope is to wait for .184 update which supposedly fixed performance issue.
After updating to Android Pie, I still have performance mode.
Model: COR-L29
Build Number: 9.0.0.161

Hello fellow P9 owners.
I have a huawei p9 L-19 (3GB ram and dual sim) for about a week now and ran into some gaming problems for Order and chaos 2 and walking war robots. I can play for about 1 minute and then the screen dims and performance starts to drop to about 15-20 fps. Then it goes back to normal (both screen and FPS). Then it happens again in a cycle. This happens to both games the same way, making them unplayable.
I don't have auto brightness activated and battery is set to performance. I tried a factory reset and still the same problem. I installed CPU-z and there is no throttling, temperature goes to about 45 Celsius.
I suspect it is a EMUI problem with marshmallow and not the game's fault. I saw that some galaxy S7 users have the same problem with stuttering.
Any idea what it could be? I will return the phone in 3 days if I'm unable to solve this problem... I find it unacceptable for these issues to happen in a flagship. Thanks guys!
Any ideas, solutions? Thank you!
Well if the game is having issues on other devices that aren't running EMUI I'd be inclined to think it is the games fault.
I've seen posts from other users who say they've been gaming for hours with no drop in performance.
Yes, but the same issue in 2 different games? That seems to be a phone problem...
Maybe the games just don't work well on Marshmallow? I'm just guessing...?
Maybe. Anyone else tried those games and had issues?
Try app > phone manager > battery > power plan > performance and settings > display > sleep > never
Sent from my EVA-L09 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Tried it, did not work. It does the same. Maybe it's the guvernor settings, I don't know. Waiting for aome updates, either from huawei or the game.
Potentially a power settings issue? Have you had a look at that as the power settings on the phone can be very aggressive.
Well, I have it set to performance and haven't found any other settings. Do you have some suggestions?
I think I found a solution, it seems to work so far: need more testing. But, if you go to settings and search "battery" it will show an option "Ignore battery optimization" - click on it and show all apps. Then i searched for the games and allowed them to drain battery more quickly. Seems to work so far, for any other users that may encounter this problem.
Hi Z3+ users,
I am curious as to which version of Firmware is best for this device in terms of battery life with acceptable camera (heat) performance. I bought my device about 2 months back and I upgraded immediately to MM. But now since I have given my phone for repair (cracked screen) have an opportunity to start afresh.
Please do let me know if I should downgrade to lollipop ROM or stick with the latest and greatest.
Thanks.

I have found that [32.2.A.0.224] with kernel that allows root,dm-verity,RIC disabled is the best right now. :good: It gives (for me) the best overall experience
If you want to control what apps work or don't work in Stamina Mode, stick with Lollipop. Although it's in Marshmallow, it doesn't function the same as the one in Lollipop. There is no control over what apps work or don't work in Marshmallow Stamina Mode.

Thats not true, you can define what apps should be optimized and which are not. Those which are not optimized dont get restriked from Stamina. There is just only one list for choosing apps within googles Battery Optimization and those settings are used by Stamina too.

I believe the options for app selection in Battery Optimization are intended for Android Marshmallow's Doze feature only. May you link a source from where it says or demonstrates that the apps chosen in Battery Optimization are used by Stamina Mode?
So i want to update to pie i am rooted with unlocked boot and critical and currently on SEP security patch and was just trying to find out if i can update to PIE and wich POST is the right one to update to PIE?
You need to update to the latest November security patch first before flashing Pie. There is already a guide here, there was no need to make a new thread.

Not an impressive PIE stable rom
Issues i faced..
1. I have also faced the issue of deleting my photos, although i deleted photos, still it showed as pics, without any image visible , i restarted the device many times, later i cleared the cache, delete from trash aswell, then it was working properly,
2. After updating to Pie , i see the performance degrades, when i click power button, i see very slow in locking the screen, and even when finger print sensor response also affected.
3. Battery performance too decreases after update to Pie.
4. Some times changing the wallpaper or lock screen, destabilizes my ringtone.
5. Adaptive brightness is not at all effective, i never use it, very slow in response.
6. Cant able to connect to wifi hotspot at 5GHz frequency range with my lappi.
7. 8.1 Oreo was much better in performance, thinking of going back to Oreo.
8. Only improvement i experienced is low volume is much better to 8.1 Oreo.
9. High volume is also not upto the mark.
10. In camera, Manual lens was not working properly in 8.1 Oreo, but now its working.
My Antutu bench mark figure shows as 131009.

Well i update and installed the beta kernel Hex and everything looks away no problems at all. i can run PUBG with no lag now at highest settings.
Pretty self explainatory, I use performance mode on low resolution, even with that, performance isn't same with Android 8's. I don't use root, I'm thinking about rooting with Magisk. What can be the cause of the problem?
Thanks for the any help. It's Note 8 Exynos.
Do a factory reset.
Running the latest version for the 950U1 and play PUBG mobile with HDR no issues at all. Not sure why you would have such an issue.
PUBG lags so much
Same issue here.tried factory reset.but no use.Tries different graphic tools.no use.
No issues with lag on my device and I've never had to do a factory reset.
Hi, I recently ordered an x2 pro (Global) based on its great on paper specs and the huge amount of glowing reviews on YouTube. But after I ordered I read on Realme's forums and a little on here about users experiencing multiple bugs in the newest update (c26) Including but not limited to , massive battery drain, slower charging, phone overheating, decrease in SOT by as much as 60%+, low FPS in games (especially PUBG), lag in launcher, microphone not working in calls unless you cycle speakerphone on/off etc. So that's a bummer if true. My question is kind of a poll of how many are experiencing this, or if its everyone? And if it is everyone, what is the recommended newest build until a fix comes out ? How is c24? Is it worth the minor bugs to have the newer interface, or is it just as unstable where I should just avoid Realme UI all together right now and just get the latest Color OS build ? Thanks and I look forward to everyones opinions and info.
Most of what you saw on C26 is not true ! What is true is loss of SOT primarily ! A significant portion of it ! Around 2 hours for me from 9 hours to 7 and that is really bad ! About PubG that is the game not the phone , to minimize "lag" use performance mode on game space ! Charging still is fine !
Remember most users are from India and summer is here so any phone will heat up .
What I recommend for most people that has their bootloader unlocked and has some custom recovery flashed is to go back to C24 . No battery problems and lags , is the best RealmeOS update FOR NOW !
Good luck ! You will love your new toy ?

Yeah the C24 android update is good , I can't find anywhere , but finally I found in Russian realme website , anyone wants to get this firmware , just download it from their site , the charging animation and the speed of the phone is also good .
Anyone know how to block the ota's ???
Thanks guys, going to install c24... It is prompting me to update to c26 from a10.... Anyone know how to disable ota's (temporarily) until a new update is out then I can turn it back on... If I knew what server it was checking I could block it or something. Anyone that know how to do this please let me know. Thanks in advance.
No real issues on c26 for me and I know a lot of people are happy,
No battery drain,in fact getting 10 and half hours SOT according to Accubattery,
Only charging once in the morning for 15 minutes,
Not a gamer so don't have the game lag that may just be an issue with the game such as PUBG,
No lag in launcher for me,using stock launcher with animations off,
Sound quality is actually louder and clearer for me than previous RUI updates
Only thing I did notice is occasionally hang in chrome where would just have to close chrome to get out.
C.24 I had worse issues with sound, hanging and phone restarting itself with flashing Realme logo.

Definitely,The newest update c27 is even better and as stable as colorOs,I Am in Europe but both the Indian and EU software is the same so you could get the software file from either support page and update, just download and use the file manager app to select the download file,
Easy
