Can someone say me if the Xiaomi Mi 9 display more icons on status bar than Xiaomi Mi 8, or it's exactly the same software and result ?

is there a Rom or way to bring app icons into the notification bar instead of the carrier label?
If i have unread notifications the icons will stay in the bar when unlocked. But i need them too when the phone is locked.
I´m on global 10.3.1.0 Mi 9T Pro.
Hey guys this is a small question but I was wondering if MIUI 11 has permanent notification icons in the status bar like Xiaomi eu ROM has? In MIUI 10 stable the notifications would go away after a few seconds which is silly because why have all that space in the status bar

I'm on Android 10 MiUE
is there an application or a technique to permanently display the name of the operator on the status bar at the top, because I live on the Swiss border and the network switches to Swisscom automatically without my noticing.
