This is practically one, the device tree is identical to OrangeFox or TWRP. SHRP and OrangeFox have some extra features that TWRP does not have.

As a OnePlus 6 user with twrp installed permanently on both slots, I was wondering if you have to use fastboot to boot the enchilada image file first and then use it to flash the accompanying zip file. Or would a simple flash install from twrp as you describe above be enough?

The markw device does not have two slots. Yes, TWRP must be loaded first and then flash zip of SHRP recovery

Thanks for your answer, but it still leaves me a bit worried that I might have problems with OTA updates on my custom ROM as this phone is the first OnePlus model to use the A/B partitioning scheme, so it definitely does have two slots. I know this after the installation problems I had when moving from a non-A/B 5T to the OP6.

Noted: i hv tried remove encryption feature but suddenly ROMs lack of UI just can access setting menu & notification bar but none app appears even if only one

Full gestures can't be available. Remember that it's just a recovery, not a full OS. Can you explain better the other "encryption" problem please?

Can you tell what's the backup procedure?
In Mauronofrios twrp, I never managed to restore my backup. My procedure was backing up only the boot, system, and data.

Basically, backup whatever you need. Then, when needed, go on restore, select your backup and press the V button.

Yess decryption is working fine..

When i try to root my phone through magisk using this recovery the boot image gets destroyed
how do you fix that? It was on android 11
