Looking at getting the Mi Pad 4 plus, there appear to be 2 versions available the original Chinese rom which has English or the unofficial global version. New to buying tablets from China so would appreciate some guidance.

I'm thinking of buying a xiaomi mi max 2 someone is selling online. How would I know its a global or chinese rom? In case its a chinese rom is it possible to flash a global rmo on it for US english?
AFAIK, you can see that in about phone, looking MIUI version.
u can crossflash global and chinese roms without problem, both stable and developer versions.

Hi everyone,
Apologies for my noob question, I'm a former Windows Phone user who is going to buy his second Android phone (upgrading from the A1).
When I buy the MI 8 right now, it's going to be the Chinese version (with English language support). Is it officially supported to "upgrade" the ROM to the international version when it becomes available? It's ok if I would need to reset the phone (lose all data/apps etc.) But my concern is that it will be a "hack" with no official support for updates later on.
Also, is it difficult to do that upgrade? (I'm a developer, so I have a tech background but I've never juggled with Android ROMs since my A1 came with the international ROM)
Thanks!!
J

Hello, i am wondering where to buy this phone, because in the official redmagic website costs 479 but i found one on tradingshenzen for 417.
The only "but" is that the one on tradingshenzhen is the chinese phone with a global rom, while the other one is officially for Europe.
Is the European rom different from global rom? I don't know if i should take it for less being chinese or just grab it from their website.
Thanks in advance!

There's the Chinese rom, and then there's the NA/EU Global rom.

How do you differentiate the Chinese ROM and Global ROM (NA/EU)?
I ordered one from their website when it first launched and I am located at SEA, specifically Singapore. My red magic 3 build number is NX629J_ENCommon_V2.10
So tell me, how do you know which NA/EU unit that I have based on that build number ?
Thank you
Hello guys
Just got a quick question for your guys. I want to buy MI 8, and i am getting MI 8 Chinese model with bootloader unlocked and xiaomi.eu rom installed, now i want to ask that is it safe to buy that model? I want to install HavocOS or pixel experience, is these roms support Chinese variant?
It's completely safe to do what you want to do provided you follow the information on the threads here. I also bought a Chinese variant mi 8 and have installed numerous roms.

SOLVED.
Please close this thread.
Hi, I've recently bought a China mi 11 ultra (to save money). I am based in Italy. I've tried to look to find what's the difference between the 3 roms but I couldn't find it, if there is already a thread like this please link it below. If not then I am wondering what are the difference between the 3 ROMs and if someone has used them all, what do they prefer and works best in Europe?
Thanks
Honestly I found Global ROM to be the best on global device, I don't know on China device, probably Xiaomi EU is better on china devices, on Global device it lacks of performance.
