[Q] Is there a way to shoot pictures fast?

Currently there is like a 1-2 second delay before taking a photo. Some of the other phones allow you to literally take a photo one after the other, with 0 shutter delay.
Is this possible on the Z1, even if means by an app?
Also, is there a video editor (to crop videos etc) by default on the z1?
Thanks
Burst photo is activated under Superior Auto mode, klick the settings-dots, enable "Burst with longpress" under the first tab.
Now just point and shoot LOTS of pictures while you press the button.

[Camera] Is it just me .....whats your settings?

Ok coming from Samsung , HTC, Asus and iPhone (I know I here you gasp)
I pretty much use my rear camera alot for work purposes, no selfies
Mostly its point and shoot I do and I know the camera on these are for ppl getting the right shot manually due to the settings
Have tried apps on this phone Like :
Camera FV-5 (same kind of results)
Open Camera (which seems to stay active in the background)
Now heres my question if you quickly take a photo, point and shoot (focusing first) using highest resolution
Once you zoom into the taken picture, its all grainy even if its took about 3-4 feet away from you
Now, if you take the same picture with monochrome its a better pic and if focusing on say a bottle with writing
Its more visible to read compared to the colour as the colour looks like its a water painting
Are you guys getting the same results or know preferred settings to use?
Thanks
Try to set the resolution to 12mp to enable the 2x "optical" zoom.
The color sensor is only a 12mp one, the monochrome sensor has 20mp.
If you enable 20mp in settings, the camera will make a monochrome and color photo and merge them into one. This is also the reason why the 20mp photos are a bit blurry or too bright on edges.
So, use 12mp and the grain should be mostly gone.
Here are three shots by me:
https://imgur.com/a/BYf7kIX - played with focus, no aperture feature.
https://imgur.com/a/xA2qURk - just a free hand picture in 12mp without zoom
https://imgur.com/a/RbEdeiI - and the same with 2x optical zoom.

Can you show some examples?
Desk is about 4-5 feet away from me when taking these shots
Sunny outside
Just normal photo and putting focus on the bottles as shown (seen in zoomed photo)
You can clearly see they look terrible apart from monochrome
No settings have been touched apart from resolution
Zoom is about 4.6x
Monochrome
12MP
20MP
Zoomed in
I put some crap on the desk but if you can see the text is visible on some stuff to give you an idea

Why does front camera darken the photo after taking a selfie ?

I have noticed this only while using stock camera, when I turn on the front camera everything looks perfect but within 1 to 2 seconds of taking a picture, the photo gets darkened specifically around eyes and forehead.
I tried disabling Auto HDR/Filters and all sort of optimizations yet I get dark and more saturated photos from stock selfie cam compared to other cameras from play store. Is there any fix to this ?
There is no fix for this.

Question HDR not activating despite being turned on (on May update)

Hello,
I noticed that certain photos no longer seem to have any HDR applied. Is it when using certain lenses?
I'll see shots that have one part underexposed/too dark. Or, other shots will have blown out highlights too bright. That didn't happen before, because the phone would automatically apply HDR to get good exposure on the bright and dark spots.
Attached is the latest example, where the dark parts of the lighthouse are underexposed, because the camera set the exposure based on the bright clouds.
Anyone else notice that HDR never kicks in? What settings could cause this?
I'm running the Good Lock add-on called "Camera Assistant" so I wonder if that is interfering with HDR? The settings for Camera Assistant are turned off for Picture Softening and Auto lens switching, but I'm not sure why that would prevent auto HDR from kicking on?
In my Samsung camera app, the setting for "Auto HDR" is turned on.
For comparison, I've attached a wide-lens photo showing a more accurate exposure of the same lighthouse. I'm not sure why the normal 1x shot has proper exposure for the lighthouse, but the telephoto shot underexposes the lighthouse? Why didn't the telephoto use HDR like it normally would in earlier versions of the software?
