I read somewhere that you can not unlock the Bootloader on any Huawei devices if you have the January 2019 Security Patch Update. Also you can not rollback or flash previous updates. Is this true? I did get my unlocking code before they closed the website. But I did unlock my Bootloader at that moment. So is it still possible to unlock my device?
Thanks.

I tried downgrading my Huawei p8 lite 2017 to Android 7 so I would be able to partition my SD Card as mixed Storage, but the System Updater stops at 5% and the Update fails.
Thats why I assume, that you can not downgrade, but I haven’t had the chance to use HiSuite (maybe this would have done the trick).
Unfortunally I can’t really help you in the bootloader unlocking part, because I don’t have a bootloader unlock code and my old code fails(had to relock my bootloader after bootloop in August 2018).
But I think you should try unlocking if you haven’t already and you have no problem with data loss.
If your phone is boot looping try:
-shutting phone off
-[Dangerous]put phone in freezer for 2-3 minutes (I don’t know why, but this seems to help my phone)
-turning phone back on
still in bootloop: You have to relock the bootloader
---Why My Phone Got Stuck In Boot Loop---
I always had that theorie, that my phone got stuck in bootloop, because I didn’t reboot after unlocking and instantly flashed twrp.
I think there was an error while installing twrp, wich I didn’t notice.
Can someone share the unlock code for Huawei PRA-LA1?
every phone has another code, why you need it?

Hi all. So I recently bricked my device while trying to update to oreo.
What I did was rebrand my device from PRA-LA1 to PRA-AL00X(P8 Lite 2017 to Honor 8 Lite) which was required for updating to Oreo. After that, I typed in the command from TWRP to install the update.zip, but nothing happened so I rebooted my device. It boots up as Honor and my eRecovery and fastboot still works, but my bootloader locked when I rebranded.
As I'm typing this, I managed to connect to WiFi and its downloading the firmware, but what I was wondering is will it be possible again to unlock bootloader again? Because my IMEI number obviously changed since rebranding and I didn't save the unlock code so I was wondering if I manage to unbrick this device if it'll be possible to unlock bootloader again with the new IMEI. Any help will be appreciated.
After Huawei killed their bootloader unlock website, users have been left unable to unlock their bootloaders. Is there something like dc-unlocker for the Mate 10 (Pro)?

Yes dc-unlocker
As far as I know there's only one for the Lite, it didn't detect my phone
DC-Unlocker not supported the following devices:
WARNING:
Huawei P20 EML-xxx all versions not supported
Huawei P20 Pro CLT-xxx all versions not supported
Huawei Mate 10 ALP-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei Mate 10 Pro BLA-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei P10 VTR-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei P10 plus VKY-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
Huawei Mate 9 MHA-xxx upgraded to Android 8x not supported
DC-unlocker works if you're on BLA-L29C432B142 or lower. They did something in B145 which fixed dc-unlockers unlock code generation and the backdoor they use with DC-Phoenix. And you can't use FH to downgrade either (Not tested on B145 but on B148-SP1).
I'm not sure what builds are on other custs, but this is the Night Shot update on C432.
F*ck, my phone was 142 and I have updated in 145 just out of the Box...
Damn.
Dc-unlocker Give it a crack might still work, you just need to make sure you put the phone into management mode so it can read it phone. Just unlocked mine last night. Running magisk v16 working decrypted twrp and emui 8.0

Typed fastboot oem unlock (code here without brackets)

No it is not, at least one user couldn't (I know it's not much, but it's a friend of @Pretoriano80). I think someone in the Funky thread tried too.
It finds update and that but stays on 0% forever. He was trying to downgrade to both b145 and b142.

I have mate 10 pro running 8.0.0.141(c636) and I just tried dc it didnt work just got unknown error 375 everytime it tried to read it.
Has anyone tried BLA-A09 8.0.0.119(C567) I cant get dc unlocker to even recognize my phone.
Used DC Locker today on BLA-A09 8.0.0.111 fresh out of the box.
I followed these directions:
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/huawei-mate-10-fastboot-usb-device-not-recognised-fix
https://www.dc-unlocker.com/how-to-read-huawei-bootloader-unlock-code
The one issue I ran into was fastboot oem unlock wouldn't work initially. I went into developers options to find the oem unlocking feature greyed out. To fix this turn off automatic updates in developers options. Then put your sim card in and restart your phone. (I was keepoing the sim card out to prevent updates) I was able turn on the OEM unlocking feature after this.

I got it to work. I just had to change it from modem to phone
Guys, i just bought mate 10 lite and i have bunch of noob questions. Instead of starting new thread i wanted to ask here.
So my phone on RNE-L21C185B142 version. I read the forums and got my bootloader unlock code from dc-unlocker before its too late. So i am able to unlock my bootloader and root my phone right now.
1- Should i unlock my bootloader? I was using cyanogenmod and lineageos on my previous 2 phones. I like customize my phone thats why i install custom roms.
2-If i unlock my bootloader am i still able to get official updates somehow (like flashing from adb or twrp) without relocking bl?
3-If i install custom rom or root can i go back to stock 8.0.0.142 version so i can unlock my bl again?
Thanks in advance
Hi, guys. I have a huge problem and I'd appreciate every kind of help.
As I was planning to sell my Huawei P8 lite 2017 phone (PRA-LX1), I've decided to relock the already unlocked bl for warranty reasons.
After relock and factory reset process, the phone does not restart al all, but it gets into eRecovery mode, asking to connect to internet in order to download a new firmware.
But the problem is there is a "getting package info failed" message.
I've tried to enter in fastboot mode, and both BL and FRP are locked (green color)
I have even tried to use the dload method, but update stucks at 5%.
What can I do? I've searched a lot of pages here before I open this thread.
Thanks in advance.
you may have bl unkock code use it
I have the unlock code, but I cannot use it due to locked FRP.
Hi,
I have a problem with my Huawei P9 that I bought used. I realized during the reset that the Google account is blocked, but I no longer have the number of the person to whom I bought the phone.
I tried the videos to bypass frp, but I do not have access to the menu "help & feedback" (3:20 in the video)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSLJchfjQkM
I think that rom includes a new patch security :crying:
I'm looking for a way to install TWRP to change the rom and go Cyanogen to bypass FRP or attempt a downgrade of the official rom.
The concern is that my computer is not detecting the phone. A warning message tells me that the usb device is not recognized. I think it's a security of Huawei not to have a user use adb or other commands to change rom.
I think the bootloader is lock.
Do you know a way to bypass frp on huawei phones with the latest security update or is there a way to change rom with a bootloader lock phone and no possibility to go into the settings to allow the enable usb debbugging (since I'm stuck when I start the phone)
Thanks
Can you boot in system?

How could he flash with the locked FRP?!
Btw, once you are (already) on AL10 Oreo, you don't have OEM Unlock option in Developers menu.
But to rebrand by HWOTA7, you needed FRP and Bootloader unlocked.
Moreover, even on AL10, if you boot to Fastboot you would see that FRP is unlocked.
And there is an attribute in one of the system XML files, if you enable it (root required for editing) you will unleash the previously hidden OEM Unlock option in Developers menu (ie, then you would have OEM unlock option in Developers menu just like in Nougat)

Similar case with the second-hand P9, where previous owner did not remove his Google account before removing his SIM card and giving the phone.
Read post #1 and then post #7 till the end - solution was DC Unlocker/Phoenix with the price of 15 Euros credits.
PS:
- When doing Factory Reset you should either had original SIM from the previous owner, or he had to remove himself his Google account(s) from the phone
This way phone reacts as if it was stolen (with the SIM card protected by PIN, and when the thief then removes original SIM and tries to bypass Google and FRP protection)

Ok thanks, I'll try their tools and I'll come back to post on this tread the result for the community
It works
Great !
The software is easy to use and i pay 15€ for unlock my Huawei P9.
I click on the unlocking button after putting my phone in fastboot mode and immediately, the phone reboot and makes a factory reset low level.
I think DC unlocker find system flaw that they alone know.
I do not know which version of android had the phone and which version of the security level but for this rom the security level of android is February 1, 2017 and the android version is 7.0 with EMUI 5.0.
Knowing that I could not bypass with 2018 methods found on youtube or xda, the phone downgraded to another version of android.
I think that their software finds a flaw for downgrade with the bootloader lock and that remove the frp protection
Thank you zgfg

Ofc. I actually also like EMUI
Btw, EVA-AL10c00 b535/b539 is also EMUI
Stock firmware already contains international languages, just few patches are needed to get
Mob NW working
Playstore installed
and then can optionally come
Magisk root
Face unlock (n/a on Nougat)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/p9/development/rebrand-update-tool-hwota7-p9-eva-t3820849
Open Kirin Treble ROMs O and P (that can be installed over) are for those who want AOSP based experience

I was trying to rebrand and convert my phone to dual sim, only this can't be done on Pie and FunkyHuawei didn't make this known. And since I hit this issue out they are not responding to my emails anymore. Which sounds par for course with them from what others are saying. Anyway, I needed to downgrade to oreo to continue with the rebrand but oem unlock feature in developer mode was greyed out. So I did a factory reset but the oem unlock was still greyed out afterwards. And now when I go into fastboot, it is showing the phone as unlocked but FRP as locked. And I can't do anything in fastboot now as a result. Is there any way to unlock FRP again?

Well it seems firmware finder was my friend on this occasion. I found a load of folders and files with weird names on the internal storage and removed them. It seems these were were placed there by Funky as erecovery started working again, instead of twrp. And I wasn't getting the message to continue rebranding either. The internal storage was still read only, so I had a look at FF as a last resort. It recommended a higher version of the original so I went with that. It took around 3 hours for it to download and install but everything was back to normal afterwards. Including frp and oem unlock.
As for rebranding, well I'm no further on but I shant be trying it again until I can downgrade to oreo. If I could only figure out how to do that.

Honestly unless you really really need it. I wouldn't bother mate. Massive ballache
This is such a lame phone, can't wait to be rid of it.
Downgrading should be achievable by either hisuite or by a flash script. Literally just like installing a new os. I used the latter as hisuite bugged out after fiddling with host files thanks to fh. Search this forum for pats with the word numpty in title. I wrote an exact step by step on the process I followed
When you do the rebrand if you don't need dual sim, just use the standard debrand P20 tool and key the model and regions manually to ensure no **** ups.

If there's any dload firmware available for your device (search on androidhost.ru for your exact model and region), then you might have a chance to fix this issue, by downgrading/updating with the dload method.
