SM-N960U1 Android pie? - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

I know there are a ton of posts but I've read quite a bit and need a straight answer to a couple of questions. Is there a bloat free pie version for the U1? If so, will I keep getting OTAs If I flash it?
Should I just wait for the official OTA? Thank you and sorry for the dumb questions

It is not available yet. There was a beta, but it hasn't been updated in a couple months.
Yes it will be available.
Yes it will be bloat free.
Yes, you should wait for the official OTA.

Nexus 6 5.1 OTA Update Start?

Has the 5.1 update been pushed out to phones yet? I know we can manually download and install but it seems like this update is taking longer than usual to be sent out to phones for those of us too lazy to manually update.

Sprint Note 8 Oreo Roll Out

Sorry to be creating another Oreo thread but the ones I'm finding either aren't Sprint phones, are closed, or are months old with no replies.
Has anyone on Sprint with a note 8 gotten Oreo yet i heard the roll out would be starting in March.
Also can we expect an update to the Samsung experience version anytime soon?

Because it's in the q&a not everywhere else I don't mind all the oreo threads but there are more than enough in general sections

You do have to Odin back to stock and do the OTA update from the carrier if you want to receive OTA updates

One UI beta help

If I use Odin to install One UI, will it root my phone and is the lastest update already available to install because I'm finding ways to install it and it says install an early build, and will it go to the lastest build or will it be in the early build?

First of all, what version of the Note 9 do you have? US model or international model?

Ok. You're new here, so I'll help you out. But next time, search for your answers before starting a new thread. We already have at least two threads on how to install the One UI Beta, and another thread that's is a discussion of the beta and I cludes instructions on how to get it.
Main thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/how-to/note-9-pie-alpha-t3849980
And these two are threads other people started stating how they installed it:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/how-to/how-one-ui-beta-verizon-note-9-t3877076
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/how-to/how-to-beta-update-note-9-u1-t3875949
You need to read those threads to understand what you're doing, the pros and cons, and how to downgrade if needed. And please for the love of God, if you install it and have some bugs, don't start a new thread. Post those issues in the main discussion. One. We've probably already discussed it and maybe even found a solution. Two, it makes it easier to track.
Ok, so you have an ATT Note 9. You have two options for Pie. One, you can flash the leaked C builds and keep all your carrier features and bloat. Such as WiFi calling, VoLTE, RCS messaging, and all those lovely ATT apps, and that gorgeous ATT boot animation and jingle.
Or, you can use the modified ODIN to flash the U1 firmware and get on the official BETA Z builds. This will be a clean OS with no carrier bloat, apps, or boot animations. But it will mean no WiFi calling or VoLTE, etc.
If you go the C build route to keep carrier features, you will have to use ODIN to downgrade to Oreo each time you want to sideload the newest leak.
If you go the official Beta route and don't care about those carrier features, then you will use ODIN once to flash the U1 firmware and then you can update via OTA each time an update is pushed.
Which one do you want to do?

Beta after Android Pie Released?

What will happen after android pie is released, can i transfer into it and remove myself from the beta or will i have to reset my phone?
Are you on the official Beta, or are you using the leaked builds?

Then you'll receive an OTA update to the official Pie release.
So if I am on a leaked built, then I have to reset my phone and get the update?

There's about a 99% chance you will have to ODIN back to an official build of Oreo to take the office Pie OTA. The only way around that is if the leak you're on just happens to wind up being the official release build, which is HIGHLY unlikely. Especially since they are already testing CSA1
I am on ZRLL (Note9 U1)
Is there any update for my note at this time.
Thank you for your help

There are three ways you can check this yourself:
One: Go to Settings and check for a software update
Two: go to firmware.science and check for an update there
Three: go to the main Pie beta thread in the News and Guides section and read through it. We are always discussing the most recent build.
Thank you !
Is there any way to get official beta still?

(Xfinity Mobile) Note 9

I've noticed that a couple of the carriers are rolling out different firmware versions. CSAA and CSAB for the Pie Updates. Anyone on XFinity that got the official OTA Pie update that can tell me if its CSAA or CSAB please? I don't want to miss future OTAs because my firmware isnt correct. I'm running the update.zip CSAA universal leaked update. If I need to be on CSAB I gotta get to flashing back to Oreo and taking the OTA.

Who pushed CSAB? The only carriers to release Pie in the US pushed CSAA.

To be honest I'm not exactly sure where I saw it. It appeared to be TMO or Verizon but it wasn't really clear(I was skimming). Pretty sure it was from one of the other Android specific forums, don't wanna name names here. The article said they were adding a feature other carriers were not yet. The SS they had, had CSAB for Firmware Version. If it was Verizon I may need the same firmware as XFinity Phones are always the same firmware as Verizon.
In my catching up on Android stuff today I see about the one firmware across all the carriers tho. That should be awesome. All the dev's can work on it all together instead of being locked to working on their carriers version. Should make for good ROMs and amazing themes. And make for much faster updates from Samsung. Hopefully Treble gets them on track.
If I find that darn article again I'll send you the link but its MIA. I cant find it anywhere but I know I saw it. It was in my Google Feed which has as many Android news sources as I can pack in to it.

You sure it wasn't referring to the S9/+? Because all the carriers released CSAB for those devices. I would be shocked if T-Mo and Verizon released a different build than ATT and Sprint for the Note 9. It defeats the purpose of the carrier switching firmware.
