Bro any bootloops after it didnt get flash ?? and did you use fastboot flash or fastboot boot

Please mention some instructions.

First,I Tried Fastboot Boot twrp.img Cos Obviously I Thought It Was Risky But Actually Nothing Happened When I Tried Going To Recovery Using Fastboot boot recovery So I Flashed It But Still It Booted Normally.Pretty Strange That I Experienced No Bootloops Or Anything.I Just Wanted To Flash Magisk On My RR GSI Rom :/

Though it got booted normally but have you gone into recovery manually after flashing ?

Is there any bugs after flash TWRP??

why you all are playing with your device ???
we all know very clear that without kernel source code it is impossible to build recovery...
see his post atleast before trying.. also he hasn't given any process means he himself not tried it..
so wait for kernel source

[SOLVED] Stuck on X - HELP!?

ADDING THE LINK HERE NOW : https://www.dropbox.com/s/it4ji9mlohfgagf/NexusOne-rescue-tools.zip
And please, a THANKS would be great if this helped you.
For some reason the phone one day just didn't boot. Was stuck on X logo.
We have tried alot... can't get into recovery, so flashed custom recovery, both RA and CWM... can't get into any of them, just stuck on X.
The phone was stock, and unrooted.
We managed to unlock bootloader via fastboot and root it.
Tried the PASSIMG.ZIP method - not working.
Any ideas?
.... please? =(
EDIT: Problem solved! Send me a PM if you're in the same seat, and i could send you all the files you need.
Oh, all you need is your FASTBOOT to work, no need for ADB, since it didn't work for me either.
EDIT #2:
The reason is that i have a file (ADB, and all the *.img's) needed on my server, and don't wanna post the link here so that's why i have done it thru PM.
But i'll update the first post and just delete the link, so when anyone needs it they can PM me.
So far (2012-02-10) 14 phones confirmed back up running, including mine. Got 2 unconfirmed, and just sent 5 PM's to guys with the same problem.
*** PM ME FOR THE LINK TO THE *.ZIP ***
Unzip, open an command promt, and:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot flash radio radio.img
fastboot flash system system.img
do the commands in that order, and when you are done reboot the phone
and see if it boots.
if NOT: keep on flashing ONLY the boot.img again and again until it
boots. it seems like the boot partition is corrupted and may need alot
of flashing until it works.
i think i flashed like 100 times before it booted. =)
There is also another recovery in that zip... RA's recovery. You can also try that one, no harm done!
Once you get it to boot, you will have FroYo 2.2 installed.
If you got it to boot with recovery.img just let android update to latest (2.3.7?)
If you have RA's recovery, just flash back recovery.img or you wont be able to upgrade to 2.3.7 "the stock way"

How do i find out?
When we searched yesterday (google), we found some ppl who had fixed it, now i can't find those pages again..
So anyone here who knows what to try?
I've been in a similar situation before and just kept fastboot flashing system, recovery, and boot, and eventually I recovered the phone...
I assume since you mentioned that you unlocked the bootloader, that you can get into fastboot? If so, flash a custom recovery (I'd recommend CWM since it includes an option to wipe the system partition) and boot into it.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery "c:\location\to\recovery.img
fastboot boot recovery "c:\location\to\recovery.img
If you can get that far, wipe your /system partition and do a factory reset. Then install CM7 (or whatever ROM you want) and gapps.

Thanks!
But we have tried to fastboot system.img, boot.img and recovery.img
Still stuck on X.
Is that code any different perhaps?
I can't try that now, that's why i ask instead of try it =)
All the commands that I posted are supposed to do is install a custom recovery and then boot into it. From recovery, you need to wipe your device by wiping the /system partition and doing a Factory Reset/Data Wipe. Then install whatever ROM you want to.
I've never tried using fastboot to install the system image, so I can't comment on that at all.
O M G!!!
i actually got the phone up and running!! everything is working now, i'm just too awesome
If anyone is interested, i could find out what i did, and which files i flashed, etc etc.

Is it an illegal method, or is there another reason why a fix like this you're only sharing by PM instead of posting it here? I sent you a PM over 24hrs ago and haven't heard back yet. I would think making one helpful post would be much easier than getting irritated at replying to each of 10-100+ PMs

Then you can still flash the fastboot roms. Guides are found here. Or use the included script.
Why would I want to disable dm verity after all?

You'd better check the moto edge tree : https://github.com/boulzordev/android_device_motorola_racer/tree/twrp
Unified one for trinket devices is here : https://github.com/moto-sm6xxx/android_device_motorola_sofiar/tree/twrp
Where to look at :
recovery/root/vendor/firmware - firmwares for touchscreen and vibrator
recovery/root/sbin/modules - drivers for touchscreen/battery/vibrator
recovery/root/sbin/load_ts_firmware.sh - in charge to load modules and tell touchscreen driver which firmware to load
Just like to confirm that this is working great either booted or installed. Thanks for the hard work vache :good::good:
There is no system partition to install to in TWRP. Super is listed twice. It may be nice to know what partitions listed actually mean.

It would be nice to see users searching by themself.
Google for "dynamic partitions" and "fastbootd". That could also help you to understand why omni is shipped as images for now instead of flashable zip.

Most people agree OMNI is a great ROM. System, Vendor, and product are critical partitions for ROM flashing so I am surprised TWRP does not toggle them correctly.

I can confirm that it is fixed. I used Magisk's adb/fastboot module to unlock my Moto G Fast with my rooted G7 Play with a USB C to C cable, boot twrp, and make a back up. This is epic!
It took some digging to figure this out, so I'm going to outline the steps for getting this installed without a boot loop.
1. Unlock your device. (I'm not holding your hand here.)
2. Reboot into fastboot.
3. Temporarily boot twrp.
4. Install magisk by flashing the latest zip from twrp. Then flash the copy partitions zip so you don't hard brick.
5. Reboot to system, and you're now rooted.
6. Reboot into recovery.
7. From stock recovery select "enter fastboot" this takes you to "fastboot d" mode.
8. Flash twrp while you're in fastbootd mode.
9. Enjoy! Everything is working perfectly. Rebooting to recovery takes you to TWRP. Rebooting to system gives you root. We also have full decryption support.
Great work

I'm rather new to the scene, everything you're saying here makes sense except the copypartions.zip. Is this something that is the same for all phones or is there a special file i should have for the g fast?
and still bootloop lmao, im doing the exact steps provided exactly as i see them on this thread, christ ill send 20 bucks through paypal to whoever makes a actual detailed guide with explanations on what to do like for example what is the copy partitions zip? whats it for? do i make a patched boot image first if im coming from full stock? do i do any of this to the other partition? treat it like your making it for noobs like christ is it that hard to help out now lmao

If you have done an OTA update on the phone, AFAIK you don't need the copy-partitions.zip. The zip copies needed partitions from the used slot to the unused slot. So if it does change from one to another, you aren't left with a completely blank slot with nothing on it. (As i said, if you have done a OTA update, both slots will be populated, so it isn't necessary to flash the zip..)
SOMEONE SMARTER THAN ME CORRECT ME IF IM WRONG ON THE ABOVE STATEMENT PLEASE
So.. assuming you are on clean stock and you have done an OTA update... In fastboot:
(make sure you have a magisk.zip on your phone or sd card)
Code:
fastboot flash recovery <twrpfilename>.img
Then enter recovery mode from the bootloader menu you are still in.
Wait for twrp to load, install magisk, reboot.
Profit.
Now you are rooted, with twrp permanently installed.
p.s: Keep the 20 bucks and send it to vache :silly:

You can use Fastboot boot but you will not have touch, to get touch you have to flash with fastboot flash recovery TWRP.img

I realized after I published it, it will be fixed in a next update, this recovery allows flashing .img files which means that you can flash the update from twrp
I was unable to install LOS through TWRP. It basically just overwrote the recovery and left it in an unbootable state. Sideloading the zip still left it unbootable.
After booting LOS and reinstalling TWRP, I was able to flash Magisk though.

Awesome... I'm looking forward to a complete working twrp. In the meantime I'm flashing what you have now.
