Hey guys,
I have enabled single tap to answer call under setting - accessibility - interaction & dexterity
But then also its not working. I have to swipe right to accept call.
This was working on January version of Pie but stopped since Feb update.
Is there any other setting which can cause this to not work?
Anyone got any ideas?

Hello can you help me how to enable this function again? It stopped working unexpectedly but I can't tell for what reason... I asked my friend with Touch Pro how to disable/enable and he sent me this:
Open the dial pad > press menu > options > advanced > and tick -> vibrate device when connection is established
the problem is i don't have advanced tab in this menu (and yes, I clicked those little arrows)
tnx for your time and help
having same problem
So today I noticed that the "Invert Colors" option appeared in roll down menu without I do nothing.
I was wondering if I can add the option "flip screen" to this menu.
Thanks
It was supposed to be there, it's probably missing because you haven't used it for a long while.
To re-enable it, enable/disable auto-rotation a couple of times in (Settings -> DIsplay). The toggle should reappear in the notification shade after a reboot.
Same for me happended also I saw a post in moto x about the same thing.
Solution change date back one of two months use the toggle return correct date.
But can I add the option to flip menu automatically in this menu?
If you look into the motorola owners forum a lot of people have noticed that toggle today as me too.Thought it was a silent update cause I never seen this before and everyone is realizing it now.....
Does anyone know where I can find the Notification Access option? I tried looking through the settings, but couldn't find anything. Thank you in advance.
It doesn't appear they put a link for it in the rom, I don't think it's the only thing they left out.
Two ways to do this.
1. Install "Light Flow", it will ask you to turn on Notification Access and open it for you. Don't enable it for Light Flow or you won't be able to get back there using Light Flow.
2. Buy and run Nova Launcher Prime, then install TeslaUnread, run it and tap on Notification Bar Watcher to open the notification access setting.
If you use Nova Launcher, you can create a shortcut to almost any settings menu with their activities widget. Other launchers may be similar.
1. Press and hold to bring up the settings options.
2. Choose Widget
3. Under Nova Launcher at the top choose "activities". Press and hold to drop to the screen.
4. Scroll down the menu that pops up until you get to "settings".
5. Press the arrow on the left of settings and then scroll and select the item you want. In this case it would be "notification access".
Sorry for the late notice. I was able to get access to the Notification Access by installing the Mi Band Notify. I was setting up the Xiaomi Mi Band to alert me when I received text messages. As soon as the program was launched, it prompted me to enable the notification access. Thank you for following up.
Hello there,
I came to an extremely annoying problem with the dialer app on my phone (Oneplus 3T - Stock Oxygen OS 4.0.3), and after some dig up I came to a solution that I would like to share, since it was not too obvious to find.
[THE ISSUE]
Wherever I received a phone call I was not presented with the standard screen with buttons to swipe for answer or reject it.
If the phone was locked, the ringtone was heard but the screen was completely black. I had then to press the power button to wake the screen.
With the screen on, a small taskbar at the top of the screen (in color blue or green) was the only notice that a call was incoming at the moment. [See 1st image]
Then I had to touch the bar to finally get the standard dialer screen with the options to answer or reject the call.
This 3 step ritual, was extremely annoying to repeat to each of the 15-20 calls I receive daily.
Besides that, was common for the caller to not wait and hang up before I could make it.
[THE SEARCH FOR A SOLUTION]
Since I had no recent system updates, and I could not backtrack what settings change that I made to gain this black screen issue I started searching.
After some goggling, I found similar threads for black screen calls on forums talk.sony.mobile.com and oneplus.net, then it was possible to narrow that the problem was at InCallUI.apk not working properly.
When I checked the InCallUI app info on "Config > Apps > (menu) Show system > InCallUI" I could note the "Notifications" settings were "Silenced". [See 2nd image]
Bingo! But when I clicked on it there was no option to re-enable it. [See 3rd image]
Continuing the search I did find some solved threads, but the solutions proposed by it did not inspired me confidence.
All I could find was:
- fix the defective proximity sensor that caused the screen to go black;
[If that was my problem the screen would go black AFTER the call was answered and not BEFORE it. And beside that I double checked that my proximity sensor was OK during calls]
- backup, wipe the phone to factory settings and restore backup; [NO WAY!]
- install a new dialer app like Google Dialer; [I like my stock dialer, but why not? Tried but did not solved the black screen call issue]
- root and install an custom InCallUI.apk app; [I was intrigued that no root was necessary to cause the issue, so why it would be to solve it?]
- extract InCallUI.apk from an stock image, root, delete the actual apk and install the extracted clean one; [Not into it, maybe another time.]
[THE SOLUTION - not so obvious for some of us]
The recent Android 7.0 offered new options to customize notifications individually by app, so I focused on reaching the InCallUI.apk notifications settings somehow.
This is how I managed it:
1. Called myself from a second phone;
2. Awaked my screen with the power button;
3. Touched the "touch to return" taskbar (blue or green) to reach the incoming call screen; [1st image]
4. Did not answered and pulled the notification bar down to reach the InCallUI.apk notification item; [4th image]
5. Did not answered and hard pushed the InCallUI white notification item to the left so I could reach the gear icon to customize it; [5th image]
6. FINALLY changed the option from "Show notifications silently" to "Don't Silence" InCallUI and clicked "DONE".
7. Profit! Incoming calls screen back to normal behavior.
As I said this solution may be obvious, but since I struggled to find it this post may be of help to for some of us.
Thanks to XDA Forum community for all nice things it allowed me to I learn since my first HTC T-Mobile G1.
PS: Forgive my english, it's not my first language.
Worked perfectly fine.. hard left swipe to notification is the key..
Thanks
Hello. I have a small software bug (Motorola G6).
When I long press on the home screen --> settings --> icon badging --> the phone enters notifications.
Upon entering the menu the second menu option "Allow notification dots" blinks twice (or better explained, gets highlighted twice)
Does your phone also have that blinking of the second menu option?
icon badging?
I don't have anything like that, the only thing to do with icons for me is called change icon shape.
though when i do enter the notification dots menu the allow notification dots option does blink twice.
Yes, it is the notification dots option that blinks twice. Then it is not just my phone.
It does not do so when I enter it via the usual settings --> Apps & Notifications --> Notifications.
It's weird, that the option on your phone isn't called icon badging. It is so on mine when I switch from German to English UK. It's the third option from the top anyways. In German "Logosymbole".
