Lockscreen music controls unresponsive after flashing to Pie - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

Hey All!
As the title says, my lockscreen music controls have become unresponsive after flashing to CSAA Pie. I have flashed CSB3 and see the same results.
The problem is after about 30 seconds of music playing and the screen turned off, after waking the phone back up the lockscreen music controls don't work at all, no matter what music app I am using.
Has anyone else seen this problem, and is there possibly a fix?
Thanks in advance!

Yes I noticed this too. I also noticed that if you unlock the phone, use the controls once and lock the device again, they start working!

They seem to work for 15 to 30 seconds post locking the device then stop. It's like the app controlling them is being put to sleep to save battery.

On mine they keep working after using them once, I use Spotify in my car everyday and my drive is just over 30 mins and they survive that duration. More than that I don't really know [emoji846]

Mine is only spotify this happens to. Google play music is fine though.

AudioOut_1 Partial Wakelock

I know there was a thread about this somewhere on here before, and I did a search but nothing came up.
Has anyone else have this come up in BetterBatteryStats? I remember there was a way to decrease the amount used by going to settings>sound and unchecking touch sounds and screen lock sound. I've had this unchecked for a while, but I still get a partial wakelock about this, and right now its showing 1 hr 9 min, about 204% ! Does anyone know what else could be caused by this? I haven't been listening to music, not watching anything, haven't even played any games today
Um, anyone? I still have this problem

Yes I do also and on most ICS..Havent figured it out yet either.
Did you also disable dial-pad touch tones?
They used to make AudioOut wakelock for me too..
Yea I have that unchecked as well. Every since I learned about this wake lock about 2 months back, I now keep all these settings disabled. But i recently in the past week or 2 kept checking betterbatterystats again and this always comes up at the top. During the day, i dont watch anything, if I play a game, im usually in class and always have the volume off (for media and games)
It would be good if someone figured this out

Did you install any program to boost volume like Volume + etc? They have profiles which Can cause wake locks, the sad part is poorly written programs Can cause wake locks even when profiles are off, I am not suggesting any program in particular but we wary of any betas. In my SG 2 I had to do a Nand Restore as even after deleting a program to increase volume had those wake locks. Surely keep all vibrations and haptic feedback off.

Hmmm, that could be it. I've installed dsp manager before couple times, even after flashing different roms, whether it was already loaded into the rom or I installed it as a stand alone. I'm currently, on liquid smooth and it wasn't in the rom, and I actually haven't installed it again. But obviously I've done full wipes and such where needed. So I don't know if that's still the issue.
What about haptic feedback on the keyboard presses?
Edit: I don't know know if removing haptic feedback on the keyboard helps for this issue, but i can certainly type better and faster now . I've always had hf on, on the keyboard. But i guess it's just a distraction. Hopefully this helps with the wake lock too

Does anybody as this problem: my lg 4x hd is with rooted with cm 10.1.2 rom.everything is fine except when i listen to music...when a song is playing i hear these pops and click and sometimes it freezes for a fraction of second..
Is there a fix for this?i didnt want to download another music app.
Ps:the music app is cm 10.1 stock-apollo

Install a different music app and see if the problem goes away. That way you'll know if it is the ROM/your music or the app.
Troubleshoot it yourself by elimination.
Oh yes ... this has NOTHING to do with DEVELOPMENT - belongs on the Q&A forum so please report it to a moderator to be moved as I'm mobile and can't.

My phone has developed a similar problem over the last couple of days. Flashed Cm 10.1.2 on Friday (from stock) and everything worked great. Music played with no problem. Yesterday started to have a problem where music playback started to stutter and eventually stop, but only when the screen is off. Tried Poweramp and Google Music, same problem.
I think there is some issue with the system when the screen is off , as notification sounds are also disrupted, and the lock screen is very laggy when trying to wake the phone up. When the screen is on there is no problem with general operation, music playback is fine, as is video, streaming, etc. This problem has resulted in the phone freezing entirely a couple of times and I've had to remove the battery to reset.
Anyone else had this problem? Anyone found a solution?
I updated to 10.1.3 to see if this would make any difference, but no change. I am going to reflash to see if that cures it and will post back if it does.

I had the same issue, until i stumbled over this easy solution. If you are using poweramp or any other music player where you can change the audio buffer, just increase the buffer and the problem should be fixed....

Keeping screen on when charging?

I've tried relentlessly to find a way to keep the screen on while charging, to practically no avail.
I ended up installing an app called "Stay Awake", which worked in theory, however, after 5 seconds the screen adjusts to the dimmest setting which is nearly impossible to read unless you are in a dark room.
Without that app running nothing else works to keep the screen on during charging.
Anyone solved this issue yet?
Thanks
Why do you want to keep it on? There are some clock apps that i think do this. But not 100% on that.

I use it to stream music to my car stereo using Winamp. Its aggravating to have to turn the screen back on everytime I want to change the song/station.

What I described above is what happens with auto brightness off. After 5 or 6 seconds the screen dims, but stays on, which is fine at night, but during the day its unreadable.

no idea then
You need a car dock app then. Dashdroid used to do it. Been years since i used one. But check out dock apps.
I recently came across a setting in Settings/Developer options/Stay awake. Perhaps that would do the trick

Did you enable the Developer settings by tapping repeatedly on the build number in settings? I have the setting on my Note 3. Or do you mean it doesn't really do the trick? Sorry lol

lol yeah I enable it and checked "stay awake". It just doesn't seem to have any effect
Try Screen Timeout Toggle. Great little app that worked for me when I needed this feature while on my Note 2.

The setting is under the developer options screen. (If you don't have developer options enabled go to settings->about device and tap on build number about 10 times. (half way thru tapping you'll see a pop up telling you how many taps are left))

Lockscreen image retained even after app has closed

Everyday in the morning I listen to mike and mike. Everyday when I'm done with my morning commute I turn off tune in radio but this image gets stuck on my lockscreen. Any way to fix this other than reboot?

I don't like to force close apps too much but at least with your idea I can change change the lockscreen to something else instead of MIKE and MIKE staring me down all the time =). Thanks!
You can open another app that uses the lock screen, then just exit out and close it. Should go back to the normal screen.

I have the same issue with tunein. Press stop on the station you are listening to and the lockscreen wallpaper will go away. If you press pause or exit on the app it will retain the image. The problem is with the app not the phone.

Emui 5.0 Podcast Apps stop working on lockscreen

Hello guys I have a problem wich drives me crazy.
Every time my phone goes into the lockscreen and I put it in my pocket, the podcast app stops playing. I tried many of them, because at first I thought it would just be the one app. But no, almost every podcast app I used had the same problem.
Music apps have no problem staying awake. I have tried everything in my mind to fix this (in battery options...) but it still is a big problem. The onloy thing I can do about this thing is to turn the screen on after it went black and the close the screen again. Now the app plays podcast without a problem. But the next time i write a message and forget to wake the phone again, the app closes.
Any thoughts?
