when i first use my s10, i try take selfie with show palm, the camera has a led spinning circle counter down and take photo, today this just disappeared, when i show palm, it will counter down secretly and take photo, please advise how to turn it on, or does anyone get that too?
Rather than making a new thread, I'm also here to ask a question about the selfie led. I could of swore I've seen it the first day I got my s10 plus but every time I switch the camera to the selfie, the led doesn't light up.

Click to collapse
Open the camera app
Go to Settings -> Shooting methods
And turn on "Show palm"

problem with autofocus...when i turn on the camera, the picture is blur.sometimes it takes a few seconds for the autofocus to really AUTOFOCUS.sometimes it doesnt do anything and picture stays blur..how do i fix this?
sometimes this problem occur but sometimes not..
it like depending on the mood of the autofocus..
one more thing can be detected is when you try to take a picture when its blur, instead of the bracket turning green, a red 'X' appear in the middle of the bracket indicating that the autofocus is not working..
please help me out here coz its a shame to have a camera not functioning properly eventhough u have a 3.2mp camera..
i hav the same problem in low light conditions
I just configured my camero in mode to fully press to take the pic, and i wait till the diamond just autofocus the picture
Hi,
Almost every camera in the world has a halfway-click that focuses, measures the light and then takes the picture when you press the shutter button all the way.
On other phones (iPhone), where there isn't a halfway -setting, this is done by taking the picture when the user releases the button, which gives much greater control over exactly when the picture is taken.
Do you know of any program (camerazoom, snapshotpro etc?) that works this way? The stock camera app doesn't and it's quite detrimental to the quality of pictures you can take.
This means the camera needs to auto focus when I press the trackball button down and then take the picture within a split second when I let go of the button, since it no longer needs to measure light or focus. I would really love this feature.
Hi ,
Go to my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=551904 the program I mentioned has this option also .
Thanks! Will check it out!
There is a workaround that i use that is effective on my mT3G. I turn auto focus off. That makes the camera focus at infinity. With these tiny lenses, infinity can start at less than three feet. So anything farther away than that is in focus if you turn off auto focus. I use SnapPhoto Pro to turn off the autofocus.
If you use SnapPhoto Pro autofocus, you touch the screen to focus and let go to take the photo. That works well. It also has a continuous focus feature which works very well but drains the battery.
Hi,
I just tried out to shot a photo in macro mode but the focus always jump back from what i clicked on.
For ex. I click on a ruler on 7cm as this is the nearst to my phone. the focusing begins and through this few second the 7 get sharp but at the end it always jumps back and the 7 isnt focused...
where is the issue?
Don't click once on shot button try to long click and wait as long as the rectangle in the centre get green and then release your finger.

keep adjusting the distance few cms below and above the objects to focus once when you get green box click it...
Hello, I don't know If its supposed to be that way. But when I first heard of the "wide selfie" thought to myself wow I can now take a full picture of the background.....hope turns out I can only turn ONE direction. Not both. And fractly like that its pointless
In wide mode if you start with yourself center frame and tap the camera icon it will instruct you to turn the camera slowly either left or right. If you do so until it beeps you'll be prompted to go the other way to capture the other side. Obviously if you dont go until the opposite direction prompt then the capture will end prematurely and you'll only get half of the shot.
Hi all,
I just got my new Mi 9 today
I updated to the latest stable global firmware.
I tried to take some photos of the city from a lookout and found something weird going on with the camera focus.
In night mode, or normal mode.
If i tap on the screen to choose a focus point, the camera would focus ok. I then press the shutter button, the camera tries to re-focus again (wtf?), fails and takes an out-of-focus photo.
Whats going on here??
If i pre-focus by tapping somewhere on the screen, why is the camera doing a re-focus when I go to take the photo?
Has anyone else come across this?
Thanks.
