What can BLOCK Unknown Calls? Nokia 8 Android Pie. - Nokia 8 Questions & Answers

I have now tried at least over a dozen apps and nothing works on my Nokia 8 with Android Pie. Not even a rooted app I tried was blocking unknown calls.
Anybody has an app or way to REALLY block unknows calls. I.e. by just rejecting the call.
Please only suggest an app that YOU have on Android 9 and Nokia 8 and that works blocking unknown calls.
I have installed and tried useless apps enough. But I give it a last chance if somebody really uses such an app to do it.
Thanks in advance...

Call blocking apps

I can't get any root call blocking apps to work on Marshmallow ROMs. Root call blocker, which I've used for several years and on several different phones was my call blocker app of choice, but it stopped working once I upgraded to Marshmallow (had that problem with both the Nexus 5 and the Nexus 6 I'm currently using). I have noticed that it works flawlessly with Lollipop ROMs, but not Marshmallow. And the RCB developer is no help. Has anyone gotten RCB or any other call blocking app to work on Marshmallow? And if so, how? Also, if there are other call blocking apps out there that will work on Marshmallow, I'd like to know about them. And I want a real call blocker, not one that sends the caller to voicemail (to me, that's not call blocking).
Have you checked out the Marshmallow inbuilt call blocker? Phone/history list/long press on the "bad" caller/"Block number".
I haven't tried it myself yet (no scammers have called me recently) and you have to receive at least the first unwanted call, but after that they should be gone.

Answer GVoice/Hangouts calls?

Has anybody figured out a way to get this to answer calls from the Google Voice and/or Hangouts apps? I have the added complication of using it with a tablet that "can't" make voice calls. The "Phone" app is hidden and with everything I've tried (nothing tricky, just the standard options), my Neo tells me something like "your connected Android device is not capable of making calls."
I'm using a rooted AT&T Samsung Galaxy Tab S (SM-T807A), running Android 5.0.2. I'd like to be running basically anything other than TouchWiz but locked bootloader is a pretty big hindrance.
My Neo is running software version R381XXU0BOA2.
I'm able to get notifications from the Hangouts app (even missed call notifications, ironically) so I suspect that if I could somehow trick the Neo into thinking the T807 is (for example) a Galaxy S5, it might let me answer calls. But I have no idea how to do that or if that's even where the problem is.

Samsung Note 9 SM-N960W Call Recorder

Hi there, I just got my pie update last night and now my call recorder app is no longer working. The app I am using is by SKVALEX. It had worked flawlessly until the pie update last night and I guess I have two questions. Question 1 is are there any apps that do good quality call recording picking up both ends of the call? And if not does anyone know if it will ever be possible after this point? Google and Samsung and many other phone companies seem to be restricting things more and more which isn't right when you pay a lot of money for a phone and it's only good for a year. Anyway if somebody has an answer for me it would be greatly appreciated.
Here is a link to the app I had been using, I'm going to attempt to write the developer and see what he says as well.

Not on Pie without root

As for the elimination, announced in advance, about Pie in giving permissions to call recorders to work, always using even now the ACR app that I used with Oreo, and it still works even if the only issue having now is a lower volume of the voice of my interlocutor and not with my voice using the mic. In settings of the app, automatic source for recording and volume of recording level raised to plus 20 dB. No root required.

Google Assistant won't make calls on Galaxy A71

Hello everyone,
I sold my old iPhone 7 Plus to buy a brand new Galaxy A71 and I'm still getting used to it. On the Apple device I could make calls using Siri but here, I use the "Ok Google" feature and then "Call ---" and it opens the phone application, it dials the number but it won't make the call. I suspect I have something not configured (or misconfigured).
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advice and sorry for the bad English.
Can you make a call normally by dialing? If OK Google gets that far will the call go through by hitting the phone icon? If you are looking for a hands free call mode you might try this app: Drivemode: Handsfree Messages And Call For Driving
Hello fellow Nokia 7 Plus owner
I tried what you described and it seems to be working on my end.
Have you checked permissions on Google app ?
What it should be needed is Call Logs and Telephone permission.

Oh, I misread iPhone 7 for Nokia 7. Ignore that ^^
I found the problem, here in Argentina, the number "112" (I don't know in other countries) is an emergency number, and for some reason, OK Google won't call any number starting with "112", If I save the contact as "+549112..." it would call.

A71 unable to receive phone calls after Android 11 update

This is happening on 3 different A71 devices in my family.
When someone calls, to them, the phone is ringing. However, to me, nothing is happening. After they give up and hang up, I receive a notification from the phone app, stating that I had a missed call. This started occurring after the Android 11 update. This must be a widespread issue because it's happening frequently (but not always) on 3 our of 3 devices we own. I wish Samsung would get their stuff together.
I have android 11 too and it works fine for me you can try to backup your photos and your stuff and reinstall android 11 using odin
i have the same issue. i found out that turning off mobile data that i can recieve calls. But i need my mobile data to be on. i tried flashing the stock firmware but with no luck, even firmware from a different region.
