I have tried it and it works perfectly for my Huawei P9 EVA-L09C636B190. I think this method will work on ANY model of P9, any region.
I'm now on EVA-L09C636B320. With everything normal. No development version. I think it is offical. Now im trying to update to B361 with the same method.
Here's what you need:
Huawei Hisuit
Huawei firmware finder
Huawei updater
First, make sure your P9 is updated to the latest EMUI 4.1.1, then use the firmware finder, simply choose the 'common database', and enter your model number, such as 'EVA-L09C636', then click 'update' of the first version of B3xx, but dont download it.
Try to copy the download link 'http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1256/g104/v73968/f1/full/update.zip'
And delete everything after 'f1' make it like this ''http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1256/g104/v73968/f1'
Then you can use the method in this thread

And enjoy your new Android.

Hello there, I did every step mentioned by OP here and did the steps detailed in the linked post. Everything is going fine, firmware is downloading and if I'm lucky it will finish doing it in about 3 or 4 hours (yes, ****ty conection). Anyways, Firmware Finder found this EVA-L09C605B360 and I'm currently on EVA-L09C605B135 I can clearly see that it may work and have Nougat by the end of this day that but I'm concerned about this method and its safety; is it safe, can I trust in FF? Am I doing any damage or restricting this phone's future capability to receive OTAs? Like I said I got plenty of time to stop the update process if in any case my phone is going to be bricked or dead by flashing lol
I'm expecting your answers or experiences
Cheers.

Hi, thanks for reply
Unfortunately I'm not sure if OTA works or not. Because there's still no official update through OTA.
But the update for me works fine, no bugs found currently.

So that means if OTAs don't work we will have to update following the same procedure we followed here to update to a more recent compilation/version of the ROM? Thanks for answering!
im on l09c34b140 and with the method theres no update apart from the one i have (my one seems to be the latest). Would it work if i just used a c636 version or sth like that?

Hi there! Has anyone have received Nougat update in Vodafone branded P9? Any clue when it will be released?
Nothing for me yet Huawei P9 Vodafone EVA-L09-C900B166
Same for O2 branded UK P9.
I'm stuck on EVA-L09-C432B182!
Seems like UK will be the last to get them as always!

Because C900 is a result of a crossflash between different Cust version ie C636 to C432 without unbranding your phone.
C900 disable update (OTA) and theme manager and maybe more things.

its same for me.. no updates when using the built-in updater ( settings - updater ). HiCare used to show an option for downloading B360 firmware, but now even that is gone.
Same problem here, no update yet, EVA-L09C432B182?????
Is there any option to delete HiCare data or something like that to accelerate the update finding process?

well im still on emui 4.1.1
I though that its region depended, but I was in Poland and Spain and still no update from hicare, updater setting or even PC Hisuit.
Im not in a mood for forced update(after all those years with moding, now i just want stable official ROM and i root device just to change DPI that is WAY to big in every device) so im still with eva-l09c432b182.

Any ideas ?

I am not offered the Q Update.

I've been checking update since forever. These things get me stressed and nervous. No news so far.
My phone is running 9.1.0.233(C605E1R1P1). From Dominican Republic.
There are still no updates in Slovakia ? I have Huawei mate 20 Lite 9.1.0.266 (C432E4R1P1)

Today I checked and, due to all the fails hoping to find the EMUI 10 update, I was going to stop the checking. But then I saw the red(or orange dot) saying there's an update. And when I read better, it was the 9.1.0.257. :crying::crying::crying::crying:

no probleme here, AOD will not work on Mate 20 Lite
Thanks for the tip! I had to activate HiCare, update the app and after that to search for FW updates from the Hicare. There was a 10.11MB update and after checking again the FW updates from the HiCare app I got the Android 10 upgrade.
Installing it and testing now.
It seems that I can no longer connect to 5Ghz Wi-fi after upgrading to Android 10.

I got "patch package" 10.0.0.148 (C431E10R1P1patch01).
Apparently all works well in a quick check: gps, nfc, wifi seems to work better, both 2.4 and 5GHz... A few packages got upgraded. Nothing strange in logcat, except several messages per second from "HwKVConnectionPool" complaining that it could not create cache directory "for some reasons", and some other logspamming activity.
