I thought google will release official froyo via OTA before coming june...
doesn't google offer release date yet??
I believe they will wait for 2 reasons...
1. Fix all issues with 2.2 and release a stable OTA
2. Release it soon after 06/07 as a reply to Apple dissing Google at the release of iPhone 4
Another poster on the forums already gave out the release date. July 34th, 2010.

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy
Other than stability, are there any features in the official version not in the test version? I cant think of anything else i could want.
Flash is not in the test ver, you can download the beta from adobe. i wonder if they will include it in the final release

I hope not, what's wrong with the market? I'm annoyed enough that the Twitter app is mandatory in Froyo.

Flash will be an independent release from adobe (not included in FroYo). This is done so that adobe can push updates without going through google...

+1 to that. There are so many great alternatives that it's just a big ol waste of space.

If you were rooted, you could easily remove it from the system/app directory. I understand that isn't everyone's favorite thing to do of course..

This is why I love Blizzard's release cycle..."when it's ready, we will ship." People get acclimated to such a cycle and know when an update/new version is dumped on the public, it will be solid.

Everyone is anxious for the release; not so much OTA but to AOSP so the cooks can start making roms. Until then, we are all just sitting around.

Well no but I have never used any beta.
Does it simply says "beta" somewhere?

Well, it would be easier to read "OxygenOS version" rather than build number, but if I'm not mistaken, this is Open Beta 20 by looking at a date.

Yes, but on a beta branch, so if stable ROM update is online, you won't receive OTA for it, you have to flash it manually and wipe data.
Ok thanks, oos 5.0.1 1st december patch btw
Also another question, whats last non beta update atm?

not sure if this is against some xda policy but I opened this thread to share the beta otas with you since the OP of the other thread wanted to close it.
Telegram Channel: https://t.me/attoreo
These require BRA1
CRE1
CRCA (newest)(Janitor87)
The rest require BRC1 (BRA1 to BRC1 update)
CRE2(Janitor 87's link)
or from android file host
Requires BRD1
CRE4(Janitor 87's link)
Its the last? do you know where out the final vercion?

Where did you get it? Is this the final Version?
Thanks, I was on CRD6 oreo beta and it was fine, except for the battery that was draining a bit quickly and Device Health that kept on stopping (had to disable it), so I went back to BRA1 (BRC1 now from OTA update). Will try this when I get a chance, hopefully it'll be better, or maybe the "official" one will drop soon...

From the att servers and I'm not sure if it's the final version. It runs smoothly and I'm sure they're close to releasing the final version

You have to downgrade back to BRA1 using Odin and then flash it like the other betas(there's a closed thread that has older ones and instructions) it does not trip Knox

Battery life seems normal so far and I havent had any device health stopping messages on this firmware. I know I wish they would just drop the official these run like official firmwares, most of them anyway . I'm tired of having to downgrade back lol
Looks like The ATT released the new beta of Oreo build: G935UUEU4CRE2
This build will be able to download in 12-24 hours.

Note that CRE1 just gave me a "Device Health keeps stopping" error, so it's still an issue.
Some bad news the new CRE2 update requires the BRC1 firmware and we dont have an odin flashable of BRC1 the best I can do is to get the BRA1 to BRC1 update zip which means to go from one oreo beta to another we have to odin back to BRA1 flash BRC1 through recovery and then flash the oreo zip after.
Also, is everybody cool with me deleteing some of the older oreo betas? I'm running out of google drive space
The flashing to BRC1 before going to oreo beta is only required on the S7 Edge for some reason.
Hey. I downloaded and uploaded the new firmware. URL is : https://1drv.ms/u/s!AoONmYxVHYIpgY1AL1aSiGWfUBwsmQ
Who can share link on the BRC1 ?

I'm using the beta and it's not pulling the update from their servers. Guess I need to flash back to bra1
My update just showed. Downloading now. Download speeds are painfully slow. I'm guessing due to high volume. Now if we could only find an easy option for root.

You will only receive the OTA update if you are using an AT&T SIM. There is another thread in this forum that you can use to download the updates and flash manually. Make sure you back your data up.

Down the ROM, then go to Settings > About > System Update. The in the three dot menu, select 'Choose update package' to tap the downloaded zip of the ROM. Then update will proceed.
I had to update manually after System Update kept restarting the download and wasted several GBs in partial downloads.
