You can't down grade ever to that again.
A730FXXS4BSB1 this a example that could down grade to example only.
This would need to xxs4 can only down grade to xxs4.
You can't down grade to a xxu2 or xxu3 ever again.
I believe mine still is xxu2 but mine will never see official pie.

Wow... Which network? Were you a Beta tester? How did you get it OTA or manually updated.
Sorry for so many questions... I just want my P9 updated and every time I check, I get "You are on the Latest Version". I am on EVA-L09C432B182
I bought my P9 from O2 but apparently its a Generic Unlocked European signified by the C432.

I got it from 3 but complications made it so it is now, I think, unlocked, as I had to send it back to Huawei. No, I wasn't a Beta tester.

How do I unlock the bootloader of my Huawei mate 9 ?
Did you get the key before July 24? If not.... you can't. Not without paying some third party that might or might not work. (eg. Funky Huawei )
This worked for me. But you have to pay 4€.

It does work but first you need to downgrade your phone to nougat (Android 7.x) first and then it will work.

i have read it in others thread that its only possible if not in the latest firmware .
so if phone is on latest firmware i can downgrade it and bootloader unlock works?

No, but there's a chance that the tools you buy access to might be able to extract that unlock code...no guarantee...no refunds...
EDIT seller says its 4.4.23+ EMUI/Android Version: 8.0 is that the unlockable one or is there more to the version that says it?

You need the build number and security patch date.
Pretty much all EMUI 8 builds on the Mate 9 run a 4.4.23+ kernel, even up through the latest security patches.
Once you know the build number, find it in Firmware Finder, and find the build for that region that enables GPU Turbo. If it's an older build, then it's likely that you could use the official rollback firmware to get the bootloader unlocked.

Yup, .375 is the latest one that's good, after that .377 had GPU Turbo and issues with downgrading.
so im good to downgrade? i will message you when i get the phone in a few days thanks

You won't get into the trouble that others did with .377 or later, yes.
But there's no guarantee everything works nicely.
Do read as much as possible before doing anything.
Also keep in mind that Android 9 is coming soon so maybe you don't need to unlock and whatnot.

Then you'll receive an OTA update to the official Pie release.
So if I am on a leaked built, then I have to reset my phone and get the update?

There's about a 99% chance you will have to ODIN back to an official build of Oreo to take the office Pie OTA. The only way around that is if the leak you're on just happens to wind up being the official release build, which is HIGHLY unlikely. Especially since they are already testing CSA1

There are three ways you can check this yourself:
One: Go to Settings and check for a software update
Two: go to firmware.science and check for an update there
Three: go to the main Pie beta thread in the News and Guides section and read through it. We are always discussing the most recent build.
Thank you !
Is there any way to get official beta still?

Nope. Probably within the next month I hope.
In the US, officially not yet. I think Verizon was the first one to update the Note 8 to Android 8... I'm not sure how quickly T-MOBILE updated their phones

Just for reference, the Note 8 on T-Mobile didn't get a stable build until May '18 (April '18 version got pulled, buggy).
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-36189
Since the Pie update isn't even on T-Mo's radar yet,I'm guessing we're looking at an equally long wait:

Nope. No bootloader update yet for the note 9 so you are safe to downgrade back to Oreo or even over to u1 firmware if you'd like.
