Fingerprint sensor error ?

Hi I'm trying to set up my lock screen whit finger print but no matter homw many time i try i keep getting an error has occurred whit the fingerprint sensor if this messages appears repeatedly restart you phone i restarted the phone multiple times and same problem tried diffrent roms same problem any one else has this problem ?

Interesting, this happened to me as well yesterday along with some incredible lag with keyboard and scrolling pages. Like the phone is doing something, ive Odin flashed stock fw 4 times with full wipes. seems something just suddenly defected my phone..
EDIT: BTW this happened after trying to flash a custom rom to my phone, phone was running great when i got it.

i got it working i had to flash back to stock via odin that's the only way it works for me as soon as i flash a custom rom it will stop working if you figure out how to get it working whit a custom rom let me now pls

Really? flashing back to stock worked for you? hmm wonder if my stock fw from sammy is damaged, but usually if it was it wouldn't flash via Odin it fail.

yea that worked for me im about to flash it back to stock again i just cant get it to work on any rom I keep getting that error i guess ill go stock rooted for now

Now when you got that fingerprint error, did you experience and hard core lag in scrolling or in the keyboard? like every 3 seconds it pause like it's doing something?

not really im using nova launcher and for keyboard swiftkey running preety smooth im on firekat rom

Having the same issue with Hyperdrive. Restore my stock rooted backup and it works fine. Really looking forward to an answer on this one.

Must setup first time before rooting and flashing roms. This has been discussed in other threads.

Did that, still didn't work.

Is it just Hyperdrive or have you tried one of the other ROMs? I am Dynamic Kat and do not have the issue although other people do, ones that did not setup before flashing that ROM.

Haven't tried any others yet. Going to wait it out a few days and hopefully we will have a solution.

I have your same problem but even worse, not going to solve it stock still gives the same result I am losing faith

I tried using odin, I was on NIH firmware with no luck... and then flashed odin with NJ7 with no luck from that, I must of flashed the firmwares over 8 times,
I went and replaced my white note 4 at a corporate near me, with a black note 4.. no one had them in stock, dialing 611 was no help, they said since u bought it at a store, I had to go there, I found a corp store that had 2 left, I rushed over cause they don't hold it for anyone. employee wanted to charge a $50 restocking fee, I told them the phone is defective, and the manager override the sale..

I am having the same problem of the fingerprint scanner not working after flashing a custom ROM. I followed everything to a T & it didn't install (& yes, it is for my N4). I went back to stock using Odin, several times & have not resolved it yet. I do not want to take it back but I do like having the fingerprint scanner. Luckily, I have another N4 cause I bought 2 when they came out cause I planned on trying to turn a profit on 1 of them, but I'll be damned if everybody didn't make it easy as hell for anyone to get one. I guess I can use the 1 that doesn't work right for flashing & playing around on & then when I find "THE" ROM that I'm happiest with, I can flash it on the good 1. IDK. This is BS though. Somebody has to know how to get it back working right. I know that people that helped create this phablet, are members of this site, so I hope that they or someone else that has fixed this problem replies to our question. sorry dude, I don't know what it was, but when it happened to me, I was on NIH, and had the fingerprint saved, i tried everything, and when i deleted the saved fingerprint, it didn't want to work, nothing worked, i tried for 2 days searching and trying out my own stock odex roms and the firmware, it did not work.. sucks i know...
i had to return it to tmobile corporate store, if u have insurance on it, just play stupid and return it, if u have someone you know on tmobile, just let them put it on their account with put the $8 insurance, have them wait 1 week, call 611 and just say the fingerprint sensor went bad, and just pay $5 and have a replacement sent out,
lucky for me it happened less than a week for me, and went to a tmobile corporate store and they gave me a new phone in a box, but a replacement is still good it is not a refurbished phone...

I got it figured out & will post a file once it finally uploads, but in the mean time. If you have registered at SamMobile.com go there, click on the firmware tab, scroll halfway down to where it says FIRMWARE on the left side of the column & search device here on the right side. Type in your model number & it will show up right below the search area. Click & download the newest file. Here is the link for the Firmware site with search field filled in with N910 http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/ While that is downloading, do a factory reset on your phone, DO NOT backup your info, you will need to restart it, but it's worth it. Once the reset is done, your phone will reboot, don't worry about going into setup, just turn the phone off & go into download mode (while phone is completely off, hold, in this order, VOLUME DOWN, HOME & POWER, press VOLUME UP when prompted. Connect your phone to computer. After the file downloads, open Odin (I'm assuming you already have Odin installed on your computer, if not you can find the link here http://odindownload.com/ I didn't have luck with Odin 3.09, but the 3.07 version works great. Your Firmware file should be done downloading by now, if it is, put it in your Note 4 folder (or whatever folder you have designated for your N910-) & extract it to there. Open Odin & click on the PDA button (& DO NOT CLICK ANYTHING ELSE), click on the file you just extracted & then click Start. Once that loads, your phone will reboot & be just like it was from the factory. Hope this helps everybody. Once the file uploads to my Dropbox, I'll post it on here to save you some time.

it has some creazy errors in every half seconds and i cant go in phone sietting or .... doing enything
also the phone seems to be bootloader unlocked . and i even can acces to phone recovery !
what can i do ! ? please help me

What was attempted on the phone? recovery installation? custom ROM installation? Dirty flashing maybe?
Please describe. Bootloader can't get unlocked on it's own.

just try to flash twrp and then try easy installer for stock or try cm rom its simply a software issue

i really dont know whats happend for this phone . its my friend phone . and he is simple user only . he told me that he recieved some close error for some apps and then these errors .
and he gave his phone to some mobile fixing store to fix the problem . and i think they flash some rom and unlocked it bootloadder .

i dont know how i can flash new firmeware ? should i flash stock motorola rom on it or custom rom ?
the last time that i flashed rom on my atrix 4g was several years ago . and i used on that time rsd-lite for stock rom . is it still work ?
can you send me some usefull topice for how to flash moto g2
and also i cant access recovery mode ! so i cant flash cyanojen or other custom rom !?

You can restore your phone to stock firmware from below thread:

It's simple, just hold the power button, u will see the Turn Off and Restart buttons.
Tap and hold the Turn Off Button until the message to Restart in Safe Mode appears.
Press OK. The phone will restart in Safe Mode.
After restarting in Safe Mode, uninstall the app that has bugged your phone and restart the phone normally.
That was enough for me, bc I had installed a CM12.1 theme from Google Play and it was incompatible with CM13 Theme Engine, so I got desperate because I was supposed to lost all my data. I started looking on the internet crazily how to enter in Safe Mode on CM until I find it. So I uninstalled the CM12.1 Theme and applied the Defaut CM13 Theme.

The link provided by @pank.dhnd is solid and you can go with it anyday.
but on the other hand you can get it a lil simplified here. Just clean format using options provided. and install with the unlocked option.
it'll make your work way more easier. you can then normally root and flash the twrp image using flashify(optional).

Htc one (m7) blur camera

Hi, I hope I'm posting this question in the right place because I'm new here and I need assistance, I bought a fairly used HTC one m7 with a faulty camera that doesn't work but I got it fixed at a local repairer, after the fix, I updated my os from android 4.3 to the latest available 5.0.2 RUU from HTC website, immediately after the update, I noticed my camera focus doesn't work, all images in the camera looks blur except if brought to just few centimetres away from it, the icon for the front camera is missing, it told me to swipe the screen to swap cameras which technically did nothing, I tried downloading a third party selfie app and it goes to the back camera by default, I managed to downgrade the phone's OS even below the one it came with to 4.1.2 but still no avail, I'm pretty sure it's no hardware problem because I used the camera perfectly few hours before the update, the preloaded OS was a customized version I guess because I could unlock the phone just by swiping the HTC logo and it came with this "soul tweaks" preinstalled.

I had the same problem...I think It has Something to do with the Stock ROM...Try Installing a Custom ROM...***Worked for me***

Sorry it took me so long to reply although faced some serious flashing issues, ur suggestion worked like charm bro, after flashing viperone one rom, I got my camera working 100% , unfortunately I had to go back to stock because I faced a lot of bug issues on viper one. I downgraded my phone too low (4.3) and also faced some Chinese character issues from my network provider so I wanted upgrading it back to (5.0.2 or 4.4.3) but I got error 155 using RUU or failed using fastboot, but any ways, thanks for your help, I appreciate

Hi everyone, i had the same problem with camera as u
And now i want to install a viper 9.0 rom but my phone is relocked and when i run the command
Fastboot OEM get_identifier_token
The result window appear and disappear immediately so i can't copy the code to get unlock.bin file
So do u know the method to stop the window for me to copy the code. So many thanks.

Camera Problem

After Unlocked bootloader Camera2Api and Google Cam install! Recently my front camera is not working. When i try change camera mode into Front camera its putting me into Secondary Camera Sensor.
I flashed already stock rom but it still not working.?? When i tried Front Flash app from play store these says "Your device doesn't support front flash"
So is it Hardware problem or Software??
Edited: But i flashed stock rom more 2 times via Mi Flash!

its software issue and definitely you have not flashed stock rom correctly , flash stock rom manually downloaded from official mi source .
may be solved your issue .

BTW; i again repeat sometime front camera works for few minute and front flash also.

Same problem here. Reading the forum I see there are many users with this problem. Front camera is not working properly on Pie. It works randomly sometimes, but it crashes randomly too. I tried to follow the bug without successful, I hope a solution to this bug is found soon.

but i flashed oreo stock rom and custom rom tooo then front cam is not working

I think it is hardware problem, but I'm not sure if the front camera is broken or if it's a separate problem, like with the motherboard or something like that. I have no tools to open the phone at this time, if you have and can do it to try to solve the problem, please tell me. In this way we would confirm that it is hardware.

i don't know about this.
i have trying custom rom and stock rom. but its not work.
so, if i click front cam, its not open. and if on pixel experience, i can't see front cam button on stock camera.
oh my god, i can't fix this.
im confused.
all setting for front camera is missing. (gcam mod and stock cam)

Finally i replaced front camera module. It was a hardware problem. Now camera is working well

i can't get it on indonesia.

Me too, update to Android PIE, and front camera stop working, just change between Main Back Camera and Secondary Back Camera, need know how can i Flash or do something, the best in this phone is FRONT CAMERA!!!!

I try install TWRP + custom rom
I install PiE and OREO with MiFlash2018528, and now I don't have Camera and Flash
camera worked with OREO October pach, but I install many times OREO and PIE and nothing works.

A Big Bug of Android P Update ? Please Help me !

I have just got android P update a few munites ago. After restart, My Phone required password as ussual. But it doesn't appear keyboard .... That's amazing ! Now i'm crying over my phone =((( just see , can't touch ! Anybody with knowlege tell me how to solve this problem ! I have no idea now and not good at deeply system. I just bought phone and use it , no root , no unlockBoatloader so far !

I ve got problem too! I got update today .... system->system updates (was on 9.6.17.0) and after downloaded and applying i had option "RESTART"
After restart -> BLACK SCREEN
(Flashing again V9.6.10.0 version, that one was thy only one that worked with MiFlash - newer couldnt install system on my MI A2)

Seems like i have disabled GGkeyboard before cause i used to another keyboard for getting better exp in my language ! After restart several times, i turned off power and like you said : Black Screen !
