Need Stock Weather app - Huawei P20 Pro Questions & Answers

Can someone point me to a way to re-install the stock weather app? I accidentally uninstalled it and the app doesn't seem to be available on the huawei app store or the play store.

[Q] Google+ on Milestone

So, I got me a Google+ account.
However, I can't seem to find the app on the market or download it directly from Google's website via a link set to my phone.
Any idea why, or where we can get the .apk?

What did you search for on the Market? I searched for google+ and got it right away.
Sent from my Milestone using XDA Premium App
Tried "Google+", "Google Plus", tried to use the link directly from the m.google.com/plus site, and all I get is "Not Found" on the market.

Perhaps the app is blocked in your country? Try using Market Enabler?
I think the easest way to find it is searching any app from google on the downloaded list and go to "More apps from this developer" (or whatever you see in your language)
I've founded it by this way (on Argentina), but i don't have an invitation...

Can't think of a reason why it should be blocked, there's a Hebrew translation for Google+ and I'm using it.
In addition, on the google+ page there's a link to send the app to my mobile, and for some reason I'm not getting the SMS with the link.
Strange stuff
Please, could someone upload the apk file? I can't download it from the market because it is country restricted. Thanks!
Yes market enabler and fake vodafone uk

Market Enabler is the way to go, find it in the market, install and fake as something [US].
I use T-Mobile...
Yep, Market enabler did the job. Thanks!
Does auto-upload feature work for everyone? It seems kind of buggy for me
This application works perfectly on my milestone. I have no problem finding it in the market Maybe try download it via https://market.android.com/

[Q] Word with friends

I went to download this app from market and discovered it was not compatible with the gtab. I then searched and found the download from another source which I side loaded and played - no problems. Now, it is telling me that there is a update to the app. It now takes me back to market for the update but, of course, I can't download the app because it is not compatible with the gtab. Any suggestions to get around this glitch??
I have the same problem and have been trying to figure out a solution but no luck so far. It is my favorite app and the reason I am so upset with the new market. I have tried going to the old market with no luck even if I disable the updater.

I've had this problem with other apps... What I have done is download the update app on my phone then back the app up with titanium, app manager, ect... and then just side load the app again... Normally ill just upload the app to my dropbox and download on my tablet.
Hope that helps a little.

[Q] Paid apps on Google Android market

Hi!
Early times, when FroYo was on our devices there was a way to browse your paid apps on your Android Market. Name have change and now this Play market do not support it. Even this very new version, what we got.
Am I so stupid that I cannot find my way to search or browse my already paid apps or how you solve this? There would be a opportunity for 3rd part application for this. And best place to give hint is just here, on XDA Developers forum.
Or just give me a link to this app(s), what you have already found.
Uh, I came fast back to write more info. There seems to huge threads about asking lost or missing paid apps when installed a custom ROM. No no, this is not my problem. I can see my paid apps, but there is no search button or value/ string on the list what Google Android Play market order.
Isnt that just:
Open play store > Press menu button > My apps?
Google Android Play market | search for paid apps?!

In my case it shows just the apps, what I have installed to my phone.
I am looking a way how to search my paid apps on Google Play market. Or an app, what can do the same.
If you mean above PC browser case, then I get huge numbers of apps. First are apps currently installed on my phone. It means the Android OS or firmware version what I am currently using. Below - early firmwares - is the list of all apps what I have tryed, uninstalled etc. and the list is so huge that in my case it could show only start from A to letter E only. So, if my paid app start with letter F - Z, I cannot see anymore it. And browsing between A to E is terrible story too.
If Google Play market have similar value like File Managers have: name, day, type, size etc. it could easy to find your paid apps. Or a search manager or similar.
The Play Market is just crap when it comes to things like this. Several major tech sites have commented upon it, but Google seems to have no intention whatsoever to fix it.

Now, swipe screen left.
In Gmail usually they will send the Google Play receipt #s of all the purchases you made.

I think you do not know what you are about talking. Your guide just show what apps you have installed on your phone: freeware, shareware, n day trial and PAID apps. I am talking PAID apps. And the only place you can find them is here: https://wallet.google.com/manage/#transactions
Try first and reply after if you don't believe me.

Chinese Mate S

Hello. I've just been given a Mate S from work but it's the Chinese version so no Google apps. What are my options? As it's from Huawei through work I'll call rooting plan b. There's no way to flash an International factory image without rooting right?
If you go to the Huawei App Store you can install Google Play Store from there.
I did this when i converted my phone to chinese version. Only problem I had was contacts wouldnt sync, but if you download GoogleContactSynch.apk (you'll have to google search for that) then contacts syncs work fine.
Yeah i did that and then tried to install the Google Launcher and disable as much bloat as i could. Google Launcher wouldn't work for some reason. Will give it another go tomorrow.

You need to change the standard launcher under Settings - Apps - Standard apps
You can download Google Contact Sync and Google Calendar Sync from Huawei App Store. Search for Google and click the banner on top to see all the Google apps
Already tried when i was playing about with it a few days ago. Google Launcher wasn't listed even though it's installed.
I've just switched it on again now and it detects it. :good:

Google Play updating manually installed apps

Hello, I manually installed an app apk from the developers website. The app is also on the play store, but was curious how this works.
How did google play know I stalled the app? How was the app updated without downloading it through the plays for? Is Google Play constantly scanning my phone?
Thanks!

If you didn't turn off auto update in Play settings then Google Play will update apps on its own.

Correct. I turned it off afterwards. But how did Google Play know I even had the app? I installed it manually via APK transfer from PC.

I do. I don't install many apps from other places except Apkmirror and Google is probably spying on me already. LOL spying on my phone would be one of the most boring jobs ever.
