@Miustone thanks for this mod. Do I need Pix3lfy for the best experience, or can I run without it?
Also, is it OK to run this with other tweaks/scripts I may already have installed?
Portrait mode crashes the camera app.

I wouldn't call it a mod since it's something more than that. But yes, you should install Pix3lfy if You are on a non Pixel Device and yes, you can install it together with Mods. Hope You like the Patch

I will notice that somewhere. It's simply because of the Google Camera App that thinks that the Pixel 2 has 2 front Cameras for the Portrait Effect. The Media Profile Configs tells that there is only 1 which lets it crash. You are on a Pixel 2!?
I will take a look for a modded Camera Apk which works better / without Problems on our Devices. Any suggestions are welcome...
Beta 2 is uploading. First Release Candidate, but there are still things to solve... Don't wonder about the Size, there is a big Set of nice LWP / Wallpapers included
I really like the old AOSP Livewallpapers btw. i always removed them in the Past from the System but our Devices are so powerful and efficient nowadays that it don't hurts to have and run them. The Static wallpapers which you can access over the SONY Home Launcher are also pretty nice... Just saying

V1.1 of the Patch is uploading. Welcome to the Family Axon 7!
Best ROM/Patch in my G5 times.
Very excited to test this on the axon with my next clean Flash!
Is there an Option to enable init.d support without a compatible kernel on Stock?
Hi @Miustone can't believe you're here!
Now I'm definitely buying the axon 7.
Love your work on lg g5.

I'm not sure about this since not tested but you can try to use the optimized Kernel Settings Script from the Patch to enable init.d. It has some Lines to do that (as long as the Kernel Supports it). You can test the init.d Support with checking the Battery Stats Wipe. Charge Your Device, reboot, disconnect the Charger and open the Battery Stats. If it is empty init.d does work. If not, something went wrong. You can also use the Kernel init.d Injector from osm0sis HERE to enable init.d Support on Stock. That's what I've used back on the Fluence UHD Patch.

@ItsNewDroid The Axon 7 is so much better! Try to get Your Fingers on the 6GB Force Touch Version, but even the Normal Version is a lot more awesome. I do really regret that I've chosen the G5 instead! And glad to hear that i was the missing kick for that Decision! You will get the known Quality from Me on that Beast. Promised!
I'm too sorry buying the g5. Can't sell it. No one is interested. In few days I'll buy the axon 7 4/128gb. Unfortunately can't afford the 6gb model.
As always @Miustone your work is amazing!!

But hey, 128Gb Internal Storage. That's the LG G5 Storage x4 ! And the used Hardware is just amazing! You will be really happy with the Axon 7!
And thanks for the nice Words! Hope the other Users here will see that on the same Way...

Does flashing Light Patch have to be done right after a clean install?
It has been a few days since I clean installed Resurrection Remix.
Can we use this on LineageOS 14.1?
I would be glad to see some more information about this mod.
What is it really doing?
Any source code available?
Your mod is promising a lot of things, but it would be nice to know what is changed on our device.

This isn't a Mod, it is more like a custom ROM without the Device specific Firmware in it. It is the Product of enhancing custom ROMs to something more. Can't say it better.
It does enable loads of Services and Features. The most Important Features are better Battery Life without limitations in functionality, better Gaming Performance with less Energy Consumption, a smoother UI/App Rendering, Qualcomm exclusive Audio Features like high fidelity Microphone input, advanced audio resampling Quality with high Performance DAC Handling, Pixel Features (Photos, Daydream), OEM Apps like from Sony or HTC over the Play Store and hundreds of more Things.
In order to enhance My Project i've teamed up with a smart Young Guy from England and i've restarted My Patch to fit better in our Goals. The Light Patch is already the third Version of My Patch and has enhanced over Years to what it is now. I'm really experienced in working with Android and i do all what i do with Sense. If it's Root, Busybox integration or the optimized using of Qualcomms Techs which are hidden in Android. There is much knowledge behind all this and Our Project will grow a lot over the Time with a own OS for Qualcomm Devices and some advanced Apps over the Play Store. We are not sure about going Open Source but it is pretty easy to see what the Patch does. There is no hidden Stuff or anything which should cause any Panic :laugh:
Hope that Points it out a bit. More Infos will come over the Time! It's a One Man Job for Me atm. and it's a lot to do all around the Project. Give Me some Time and just try it out for now

Do you recommended using custom kernel after applying this patch?
@Miustone
Thank you for your clarification.
What kind of effect is on the build in DAC of axon 7?
There hasn't been any mod, patch or teamwork which did affect the hifi DAC for axon 7.
QuickSwitch - Quickstep enabler for supported launchers
QuickSwitch is a Magisk module which systemlessly allows supported launchers to access the recents (QuickStep) APIs. It's future proof, detects which launchers are capable of being a recents provider, and is fairly simple to use.
Requirements:
- Android Pie+
- The latest version of Magisk
- A launcher which can be used as a recents provider on your specific android version.
Installation:
To use the module, simply follow the instructions:
1. Install the latest QuickSwitch apk from the Telegram channel or GitHub releases.
2. Open the QuickSwitch app that was installed.
3. Select a different launcher as your recents provider.
4. Reboot.
5. Verify your new recents provider is correct.
6. Set the new recents provider as the default launcher.
7. Profit.
After switching providers and rebooting, make sure the current provider is the default home app.
To switch providers after the initial install just open the app, select a new provider and reboot.
Updating:
To update, just update the app when a new release is published, or check the Magisk app as it should fetch updates too.
Uninstallation:
To uninstall the module, use the bin icon in magisk manager. Your recents provider will go back to default and your launcher will return to being a user app, after that, just uninstall the quickswitch app
Logging:
QuickSwitch saves all its logs to /data/adb/modules/quickswitch/logs/ and /sdcard/Documents/quickswitch/ all logs belonging to QuickSwitch begin with quickswitch. If you have any issues with the module send all log files in a compressed archive.
Compatibility:
As stated earlier, the QuickSwitch app auto-detects which launchers are compatible so it's going to be difficult to say a definitive list. But for an easy explanation, I'll just say that almost all stock Pie+ launchers will work as long as they are either ported to other devices or are installed by default on your device.
As for custom launchers, you'll have to install them and see if they appear in the QuickSwitch app.
Notes:
- QuickSwitch doesn't add support for launchers, launchers need to support QuickSwitch. Because of this, a full list of compatible launchers will not be provided as the app autodetects which launchers are compatible.
- Nova Launcher is NOT compatible with QuickSwitch and never will be unless they decide to add support for the Razer Phone natively.
Misc:
- You can grab the source for the module here
The SystemUI option (removed in Android 10+) will grant you Oreo style recents.
Credits:
- @paphonb for the QuickSwitch app and the initial concept and idea of a universal Quickstep enabler.
- @osm0sis for assistance with getting 3.x.x to work without having to go permissive, and for his and @topjohnwu's zipsigner
- The Lawnchair and Hyperion team's for initial testing of the module.
Download:
Download the latest version here.
Donations:
- If you wish to donate to @paphonb for creating the QuickSwitch app you can do so here.
- Or if you wish to sponsor me on GitHub for making the module, scripts, and handling support you can do so here.

FAQ
What does this module do?
The only thing this module does is changes which launcher controls your recents
Can I get app actions, or recents text/picture selection with this module?
This module doesn't control what features a launcher has. All it does is grant the launcher more permissions and enable a launchers access to recents.
How to get Oreo/Oreo Grid recents?
For Oreo recents simply set your recents provider to SystemUI and reboot.
If the SystemUI option doesn't show up it's because you're on Android 10 and the Oreo recents fallback has been removed from AOSP.
For grid recents follow these instructions:
1. Set the recents provider to SystemUI
2. Tap the three dot menu and toggle "Enable grid recents" to on
3. Reboot.
The FAQ will grow as more questions come to mind.
Common Issues & How To Fix
Launcher is constantly crashing
This generally means you are using a launcher port and didn't follow the instructions correctly. Here is a refresher:
1. Install QuickSwitch.
2. Install the launcher, don't set it as your default launcher.
3. With any other launcher, open QuickSwitch.
4. Set your desired launcher as your recents provider.
5. Reboot.
6. Verify the new launcher is now your recents provider in QuickSwitch.
7. Set the selected as your default launcher.
8. Profit.
If the launcher still crashes afterward get the module logs and a crash log using https://github.com/tacothedank/scoop
Setting the provider is successful but it still didn't work after a reboot
type this command in a terminal
Code:
su -c cmd overlay dump xyz.paphonb.quickswitch.overlay
If you see this line:
Code:
mState.................: STATE_NO_IDMAP
You need to ask your rom maintainer to add this commit. only for your device, it will cause issues on other devices.
Another fix you can do yourself if that happens is enter this command in a root environment (If stuffs breaks after doing this delete the .replace file through ADB).
Code:
mkdir -p /data/adb/modules/quickswitch/system/vendor/overlay && touch /data/adb/modules/quickswitch/system/vendor/overlay/.replace
Great!
Works well on this setup:
OnePlus 6
Pixel Experience ROM
Lawnchair Alpha 721
Quickstep 1.0.6
Just one issue that I've had before. I use Fluid NG to get access to navigation gestures on Pixel software. It removes the navbar by moving it to the invisible area "under" your display or something. In HTML world, this would have to do with margins and padding.
The result is this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
With the navbar on, it looks alright:
Is it possible for you to fix this or provide an option to do so? Maybe by doing a reverse-padding for the app previews or something like that? ? I'll be happy to assist further.

Grid recents might still be able to be enabled via a build.prop value but I'm not sure.

Disclaimer
This module won't disable the navbar, so if you want to use Fluid NG on Android 11-12 then this module isn't for you
Any option not working is due to incompatibility with your current ROM (there's little i can do about it)
Any issues related to GCam after installing the module are outside my control

It seems that it crashes the process required for gesture navigation, resulting in gesture navigation becoming unavailable in the latest 11 DP 3.

try this, i've rebuilt the main gesture overlay targeting Android 11, worked for a friend of mine
R seems to enforce signature scheme V2 on its system apks, which is likely why my old overlay wasn't working (as they were signed with a testkey)
Ok, i've pushed an update on the Magisk Repo that should have fixed the Android 11 compatiblity issue, also i've tweaked the install script to accommodate both Q and R in a single zip

Multidisabler is uploaded on this thread
Prequisites
Updated to Android 11 (via OTA or Odin). I tried installing Android 11 super.img with boot.img but it didn't boot on Android 10, there's probably something in the bootloader that is required to update to run Samsung's OneUI 3.1 on the A71
TWRP for Android 11 installed
Instructions!
Extract NcX ROM (in .xz format) with an unzip program and copy to internal or external SD card
Reboot to TWRP
Install extracted ROM as "super" image in TWRP
Reboot to Recovery
Format data if you are coming from Stock ROM.
Flash multidisabler (this is required always)
Flash Magisk zip (optional)
Reboot and wait patiently

NcX 3.1 MODsAfter publishing NcX, I made a few optional mods you can flash with Magisk to add a few more things. I'll try to explain a bit on what they do, enjoy.
FP Animation Changer
This mod changes well... the fingerprint reader animation. You have a green wave by default, this changes it to a gray wave, similar to the animation Samsung uses for their ultrasonic sensors

Try adb pull. MTP in TWRP won't let you move files bigger than 4 GB. Or add it before you do the procedure.

Thank you so much, you are doing a great job
First of all, I need to admit that I've been waiting for a Lineage OS port, always been a big fan of Cyanogenmod/Lineage but it seems like nothing's really happening in that regard to that so I'm thinking of installing this ROM as a good alternative.
I have two questions
1. Does this ROM have WiFi calling built-in? Currently where I'm located I have hard time picking up the signal so WiFi calling is really needed
2. How debloaded is this ROM? To the core (what I wish for) or FB, Twitter etc... apps removed but all the Sumsung apps still there for health
3. Also how is debloading done, just disabling the apps like the some scripts on github do or actual apps get removed
Thanks ShaDisNX255 for your work

@descarao81, Thanks for the hard work.
You didn't mention the Android version, but I assume it's 11 (from the changelog in the 2nd post - Merge April 2021 Security Patches (android-11.0.0_r34).)
I currently have LineageOS 18.1, it has 2 major flaws, and it's kind of a deal beaker...
1st, Does this ROM have an option for auto call recording?
2nd, in LineageOS, the camera has a bug that will not allow a picture to be taken in motion (I tried a few camera apps - or maybe it's just a setting that I'm missing...), does this ROM have the same problem?
Thanks

2nd, in LineageOS, the camera has a bug that will not allow a picture to be taken in motion (I tried a few camera apps - or maybe it's just a setting that I'm missing...), does this ROM have the same problem?
Thanks

Oh, you're right, I forgot tagging the Android version! Just edited. Thanks for letting me know.
The call recording feature is present in the stock dialer. It's working while "Hey Google" (Voice Match) is disabled.
I'm not sure what pictures in motion means but I haven't experienced big issues using the camera. Sorry for not replying to your specific question.

So if I flash this ROM I'll have auto call recording?
If so, thank you!
I'll flash it as soon as I have a chance

Taking a picture from a moving car...
When you cake a picture when you are in motion, the camera freezes until you stop moving (or put the phone down), then it will take the picture, but you will not be able to get the picture that you wanted to take...

Which camera app are you telling about?

I tried 3 different apps, they all had the same problem.
I don't think it's the apps, I think something is wrong with the camera firmware (driver) in that ROM...
Hey, I've flashed this ROM and then I couldn't set a lockscreen passcode or PIN anymore. Just swipe to unlock avaible( wheter I try to set a passcode settings app just crashes ). I had same issue in other ROMS too. Anyone knows how to fix this?

I followed other posts which told me to delete
locksettings.db
locksettings.db-shm
locksettings.db-wal
in data/system partition, but I didn't found any files in that folder expect the locksetting.db file.
@descarao81
This ROM is awesome!
Looks nice and fast!
I didn't test the camera yet, but I hope for the best...
Just 2 little things.
1. I'm getting only 3.5mb Down and 1.2mb Up in speed tests (this is average of 4 tests)
and 2nd. Can you compile the ROM without Google Apps? (I have it installed already, so I won't re-flash the ROM again, but for future users...)
See, when the GApps are embedded in the ROM, you can't revoke permissions on certain apps...
Plus, there are a few apps (like Personal Safety - which you can't revoke permissions) that you can't uninstall (unless you do it with adb - "adb shell" then "pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.apps.safetyhub")

Try doing Format Data.
If this doesn't help I assume your bootloader is unlocked and I suggest to lock the bootloader, reboot recovery, Format Data and reboot.
If still you're not able to set a lockscreen security method:
Install ZUI 11.5.381 using QFIL.
Boot it but don't set any lockscreen security.
Install custom recovery.
Install KangOs
This is not a KangOS issue, this happens when you unlock your bootloader without removing the lockscreen security in your previous ROM. Blame Lenovo.
And I have another problem.
Is it just me, or is the Phone app a little broken?
I don't see the actual call dialog...
I can receive calls, and I can call out, but I can't interact with the call...
I don't see the incoming call (I just hear it), and I can't hangup, mute or anything...

sorry for the silly question, i'm kinda noob . Locking bootloader in a custom ROM won't brick the device?

I haven't checked the traffic speed yet but I'll do and I'll let you know.
About the vanilla/gapps versions I'm planning to build both for the next release

I'm glad you solved it. For whoever could get the same issue, make sure that there is a phone app set as default.

Welcome to Zippo, this device can run custom ROMs and recoveries with locked bootloader as long as a modified vbmeta partition is installed. This modified vbmeta is included in every custom ROM so if you're now using a custom ROM you can safety lock the bootloader, just reboot to recovery after that and Format Data else the ROM won't boot. The modified vbmeta is also included in the installation of OrangeFox using QFIL.
