Is there some news regarding implementation of ARCore on xiaomi mi9? I have to change my phone and I need arcore for work...
After following Mr. cd993's guide to installing the MIUI EU ROM last night, I was successfully able to sideload and use ARCore without any apps crashing. I believe this might be down to the fact that the EU ROM has enabled the 'camera2' api? Unsure, but it works
The guide I followed is below, with the added step of downloading the ARCore application from apkmirror —

TWRP need to root and install P as well and its custom rom not stock. Flashing and all is required and ARCore already ported to all devices without root no need of P.
Arcore ar stickers work in oreo too without root. Is it not suppose to? I downloaded from the links in the desciption of this video and ar stickers works like a charm
You can also get on hand by this method

As I've seen in the link below, there was just a Magisk update, supporting system-as-root properly now.
Since the mi 9 does use that partition set up, does the update bring any enhancement for our device?
Thanks in advance!
Have a nice day!

I can't recall the particular version of Arcore that worked for me in the past. You just have to check for older version,

Hello!
So as the title says ive got my self a note8 from xiaomi but ArCore is not officially supported, all my unity samples just crash on load. My friends Xiaomi 9 runs them fine. I read on Github Magisk modules may help me fix this and get AR working on this device, i wanted to take to XDA to ask for more help on this / discussion, would flashing allow my Redmi to use AR properly ? im currently on the chinese rom and im sure a flash to global might also fix the GPS and unlock a few other features but if AR works id be more motivated to do it.
Thank you

Haven't heard of this would love too though!
Huawei HarmonyOS can run Google Mobile Services and Play Store app, shows tipster through developer beta build
Huawei’s upcoming self-developed distributed operating system, HarmonyOS 2.0 has already entered the public mobile developer beta testing program for devices including foldable phone Mate X2, and models from Mate 40, P40, Mate 30, MatePad Pro, Smart Screen S series. However, the first batch of...

Probably, we are going to need to wait until the non domestic beta... If I'm not mistaken in the domestic version of emui 11 there is no problem with installing GMS, but in the international it's not possible.
if your mate40 is chinese version ..you can install GMS . if you upgrade to harmony os . GMS can normall run . i had test it .

You can't. HarmonyOS is only for China models with no release plan or dates announced for the rest of the world.
Hey guys. I have a MatePad Pro (the original one which was released in 2019), which I have purchased during my trip to China.
I had converted it to GMS first thing when I unpacked the device using Googlefier.
Yesterday I updated to Harmony OS and the GMS is still working perfectly fine. I was able to open Google Play, install apps, etc. same as before, zero issues.
So if you already have GMS installed on your phone / tablet, you can continue using it after updating to harmonyOS.
I hope this helps
i just had my mate20 pro updated to harmony os, and all my previously intalled gsm apps works perfectly fine. been testing the apps and didnt have any errors so far.

Can you actually INSTALL the GMS on a device running Harmony OS or can you only CONTINUE USING previously installed GMS apps?
