moto e4 plus signed boot image - Moto E4 Plus Questions & Answers

recently used the sd card trick to fix my bricked xt1775, which i am eternally grateful to the people of this forum for the help on. but i wanted to flash it all the way back to the stock firmware. i cant seem to find firmware with a signed boot image. i was wondering if anyone on the forum has a signed copy of the boot image so i can go 100% back to stock with the phone. i know its asking alot, and im not even sure if anyone has this and if its been leaked. but i would be even more grateful if anyone has either that or the entire firmware for a stock retail xt1775 moto e4 plus. thanks for any replies and sorry if i sound dumb for asking for this.

[Q] can I flash different images with rsdlite and not kill my phone?

I was looking at this link...
http://android.sc/downgrade-or-rest...to-oficial-stock-android-jelly-bean-firmware/
And this list of images
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/ghost_rcica/list.php
I have the americamovil-pr image stock on my xt1058
What would happen if I used rsdlite to flash say the rogers or att version? I did a little googling and saw people used rsdlite to change images with RAZR HD gsm models but wasn't sure if this is the same and just wanted to ask just in case.
Would I be able to do something like flash the T-Mobile image which is xt1053 without doing irreparable harm to my phone?
I appreciate any help with this greatly. If there is no irreversible harm I would be willing to try the T-Mobile image on my phone to see what happens
It may or may not work, but you should always be able to just flash the proper image if it doesn't work to get it running again. For what it's worth, I tried flashing the T-Mobile stuff on my AT&T phone yesterday, and it wouldn't pass the verification stage so it didn't flash.

[Q] Return XT1095 to Stock?

Hi All---
I'm an old-time flashaholic who hasn't flashed in a long time.
However, I'm so sick of the memory bug, that I'm going to try out CM12 on my xt1095.
However, I want to verify that there is a way to later return my phone to stock so that I can recieve the OTA when the fix (eventually) comes.
I can't find a thread that tells me how to do it (on the old moto x you would use an sbf, but i don't see anything about that around here.)
Thanks so much for your help in advance...
1 Making a backup in recovery of your actual stock rom and restoring when needed (with twrp for example)
2 Flash via bootloader with fastboot official rom (no zip to flash)
3 using RsdLite using official rom (no zip to flash)
Cheers
Ps: ota is another thing already discussed here

Any clue where I'd find the official ROM (either for fastboot flashing or rsdlite)? I can't find any links...
My phone is already on 5.0, fwiw.
Thanks for the help
There is a lot of topic about stock roms on this forum, in your settings you have to search what version do you have (see picture) and download that one.
But i don't kno if you're expertor maybe you know what you are going to do. I ask you: twrp installed? Rooted? Why not doing a backup without downloading tons of mb and going crazy flashig 10 files?
That's my opinion.
Last word, search this forum, there is a lot of discussion like this one

I don't have the link but the XT1095 retail/tmobile 5.0 full image can be directly downloaded from Motorola just like the images for the Moto X 2013.

G870A, Soft Bricked, Need 4.4.4 or 5.1.1 completely stock "Unrooted" firmware file

G870A, Soft Bricked, Need 4.4.4 or 5.1.1 completely stock "Unrooted" firmware file
EDITED 12-27-15:
XDA Assist has sent me to this forum (Thanx). Info and questions follow, here are the basic details:
G870A variant of the samsung S5 (Active)
Stock, unrooted, carrier locked
interrupted power during OTA update from AT&T (most likely 5.1.1)
forced phone into "download mode" and attempted to flash 4.4.2 (NE4) instead of update (actual file used: G870AUCU1ANE4_G870AATT1ANE4_G870AUCU1ANE4_HOME.tar.md5)
Phone stuck in bootloop with freeze/repeat at AT&T logo
unable to locate completely stock firmware file for 4.4.4 (G870AUCU1AOA1 or OA2) to flash back to most recent functional OS.
still currently able to force recovery mode or download mode.
**update:
As far as i know, the OTA for 5.1.1 did completely download but i dont think it "installed" because i removed battery during initial auto-reboot. The existing ROM would have been 4.4.4 mentioned above, updated and active official firmware from AT&T.
Basic Explanation of actions: I do fully realize that my actions and subsequent "incomplete" attempt to patch the software were unwise but i was merely weeks away from paying off the phone, owning it, having it unlocked by AT&T, properly rooting and installing a custom ROM (as i had successfully done to my wife's G900A). In a moment of panic, not wanting to be locked out of my phone forever by Lolipop, I ripped out the battery during the reboot that was loading Lolipop... every time I put the battery back in and hit power, the phone still attempted to load and write 5.1.1. So I thought maybe, the official firmware copy from 4.4.2, which my phone shipped with in 2014, might flash, even though i was not rooted or unlocked. Clearly i was mistaken but it was all i could think of under pressure.
At this point, I am Completely unconcerned about almost all data on phone or even the hardware EXCEPT for some extensive "memo" notes, which i desperately want to recover. I also dont care anymore about avoiding Lolipop because the memo data is more important to me. I am literally willing to rip the internal memory from this phone and send the SD to a data forensics company if that's what it takes, i no longer care about the phone at all... Having said that, recovering it myself and keeping the phone might be nice also.
Question: where might i find a completely stock firmware for 4.4.4 factory, UN-rooted,to flash; or what procedure might i use to directly pull data from the phone, while soft bricked, before doing a full factory reset?
Alternately, any advice on directions i may not have thought of yet?
I have looked pretty deep into the existing XDA forums for this info but i am only finding "custom ROMs" which are rooted or factory stock ROMS for 4.4.2 and most advice deals with rooting, then flashing. I am not rooting but simply flashing fully unrooted stock firmware AND starting in a bootloop/soft brick state. This is why i did a fresh thread.
Thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help!

Greetings,
Thank you for using XDA Assist. To get you the expert help you need, I'm going to move this thread to the most relevant Q&A forum for your device. Good luck!
Hello,
I am not an expert or anywhere close but I understand the basics of Android flashing / rooting, etc.
I happened to have rooted my G870A from AT&T successfully using a thread from XDA and I noticed they also provided the original firmware for G870A in case of problems:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/att...to-root-g870aucu1aoa1-4-4-4-2-7-2015-t3025119
So I thought this may help you considering you're looking for an original firmware for your G870A.
What I suggest is to try to flash "G870AUCU1ANE4_Full_Odin.tar" (available from the thread I linked above, I didn't want to rip the links out of the thread) using Odin v3.09+.
I did not use this firmware to root my G870A (only used the updates) but everything worked on the first try.
Follow instructions in the thread I provided. If that still doesn't work, you may need an Android expert on the case.
I wish you good luck in your data recovery. And yes, I registered just to post a reply to your thread.
(also: if you want to root your G870A, the thread explains the proper way to do it!)
Appreciate the thought

Really appreciate the thought, however, that particular file is the file that i had originally used before posting. i think since my phone was factory locked and unrooted i did not have the permissions needed to basically "roll back" my phone to 4.4.2 but i am not educated enough to be sure of the exact problem flashing that file.
Thanks again for suggesting it though! I am nearing the time when I will just have to give up and send off the internal memory for physical extraction and data recovery
Hello,
I am also not an expert or anywhere close but I understand the basics of Android flashing / rooting, etc.
With that said: Let the OTA happen. You will not lose the files unless you already started a factory reset. Then your sol. You will not be able to root but you have a better chance of retrieving the files you are looking for. The phone is not like a computer. You can't just pull the HD and sent it out. You either already had the 5.0 kernel or the 5.1 kernel loaded before you stopped the process. This makes it impossible to go back. You can only go forward.
Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Thanks for that idea. the trouble at this point is that im stuck in a bootloop that catches on the att logo. I agree that the only option now is to continue forward. i just need a fully official software newer than 4.4.4 to load through kies or odin. at least i "hope" the newer file will work.
so far i have only been able to find stock ROMs that are rooted, and i dont think i can load a rooted stock ROM onto a carrier locked un-rooted phone.
The part you mentioned about the kernal is probably true. i had not thought of that before.

Returning a XT1096 (Verizon) Moto X 2014 Back to Stock?

Hey Guys,
I am helping a friend install CM13 on his XT1096 since Motorola is letting VZW users unlock their boot loaders.
Just in case anything goes wrong (this is his first time doing stuff like this), I want to make sure he can get his phone back to stock somehow. For example, with a Nexus, I just flash all the factory images, bootloaders, and radios one by one and the phones brand new again. I am having a hard time finding any info on how to do this for the Verizon Moto X 2014?
So my question is: If his phone boot loops or soft bricks, are there factory images or any way to return his phone to stock in an official capacity (factory images)?
Using this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-2014/general/guide-return-to-stock-official-status-t3274121
And the XT1096 Image Here - http://www.filefactory.com/folder/dd05c058d3ff8dbe/?sort=created&order=DESC&show=25&page=4
Its same like nexus, but rather then pushing commands one by one you better download rsd lite latest version and after switching into fast boot mode open rsd lite and you will see device connected, locate the flashfile.xml from moto x zip and flash it. Its easier.. And almost every xt1096 files are available.

Looking for stock recovery image for Moto E5 Plus Hannah

This maybe a dumb ? to ask but I'm having a hard time finding what I'm looking for.
I'm looking for the stock recovery image for Moto E5 Plus Hannah for android v8.0.0 build OCPS27.91-32-9
I'm on sprint.
Why I need it is a long story
so if someone can point me to where I can find it that would really help me out.
p.s. I don't know if the version/build matters but I would like this one: v8.0.0 build OCPS27.91-32-9
I believe the links are in this thread.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e5/how-to/firmware-moto-e5-xt1944-4-dual-sim-t3820901
I'm not seeing it.
Maybe I need to tell the long story...
OK here is my problem.
My phone is not rooted & everything is stock but the recovery, I installed TWRP on it
and I want to put the recovery back to the stock recovery so I can get over the air updates.
aka I want the stock recovery but I don't know if I need the stock recovery image from "android v8.0.0 build OCPS27.91-32-9"
or can I use a newer one?
I'm not new to all of this but some of this is a little bit outside of what I normally do so that's why I'm asking.
found it
I found what I was looking for
https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/hannah/official/Sprint/
So I will flash this recovery.img & all should be good.
