Lost OEMinfo - Honor Play Questions & Answers

Hey guys, i didn't find any info about that.
So my story starts from that when i tryed to down my firmware version from 9 to 8 using Rebrander by instruction from 4pda. It worked. But i forget to backup my OEMinfo and now have chinese region and model name "COR". (It's gonna be COR-L29), and can't use HiSuite to system recovery and can't get official firmware updates. Also can't use google pay.
So question is: can i use OEMinfo backup from another person's phone to restore normal region. Or how can i edit OEMinfo manualy.
And sorry for my bad english (⁄ ⁄•⁄ω⁄•⁄ ⁄)

fastboot oem oeminforead-SYSTEM VERSION

I used this guide

and returned everything. Google pay working, i can get updates.
Shortly speaking, i got full stock

first of all,you need to unlock bootloader, and then flash by fastboot this firmware:
Ale-L21C432B052
https://mega.nz/#!jdFiyJpR!X2fmOZ-ShY-Kx-9lwnSUN16Vo52_aU0i4K1KmdBW64Q
when is done, reboot phone, now flash this firmware by fastboot:
Ale-L21C432B132 http://www.carbontesla.com/2015/09/download-huawei-p8-lite-b132-firmware-dual-sim/ (download and extract, you will find a folder dload, now use huawei update extractor to extract this files:boot, cust, recovery and system)
Now you need to make local update with this firmware
https://mega.nz/#!XAlCSLqQ!EhBUXcrvbt1pluokN4uGZeIs9RsMwKwa6J0g1i8oGjM
At the end your phone will end up with build number Ale-L21C432B170,now open HiCare app from phone, update to last version, and then HiCare app will tale you there is an update to Ale-L21C432B574

Unfortunately i only know how to unbrick only use this method, but i think that with the correct firmware you should be able to return to your region
edit:you can try with this version V100R001C185B120,download and extract, now use huawei update extractor and extract this files:boot, cust, recovery and system, and flash by fastboot commands, when is done, make a local update with ALE-L21C185B525 i wish you best of luck

How do you debrand ? I want debrand mine
Hello,
I just unbranded mine and enabled Dual SIM.
I have to say it is not free... but the seller support is really great.
So from a bricked one (see my other topic) I revived it with DC Phoenix.
and then with DC-Unlocker seller'ss help, with HCU Client + DC Phoenix we succeeded to flash unbranded C432B105 ROM, and then enable the second SIM slot.
DC Phoenix is for flashing ROMs from DC-Unlocker's support area.
HCU Client is for changing values like Vendor, Country, Model...
I can't be very specific about the exact procedure (I'll let you guess why...) but the things I can tell :
1/ Flashed Warsaw-L01_C432B105_Firmware_United Kingdom_Nonspecific_Android7.0_EMUI5.1.APP with DC Phoenix (Fastboot mode and then Upgrade mode)
2/ Flashed Warsaw-L21A_C432B105_update_data_customization_hw_eu.APP with DC Phoenix (Upgrade mode only, no need for fastboot mode)
3/ Changed some values with HCU Client like :
- Model name : WAS-L01A -> WAS-L21A (not sure it was really usefull, a guess from P10 with its VTR-L09 and VTR-L29)
- Vendor : orange (default phone value from my carrier) -> hw (need to fit the custom APP flashed in step 2)
- Country : all (default phone value from my carrier) -> eu (need to fit the custom APP flashed in step 2)
- SIM card mode : Dual SIM (was already set to dual but forced it again, not sure it was usefull)
- ... (you'll have to guess what and why you have to guess it...)
You'll need 15 credits for DC Phoenix and 8 credits for HCU client... you can think it is expensive, but yesterday my phone was bricked, so his help and support saved my phone, and my day!
Don't ask me to upload my OEMinfo partition as I won't unlock again my bootloader (the crappy message at boot is just not for me...), I won't flash TWRP.
It is not a hidden promotion message, it is just to tell there is an alternative solution to unbrand it and add Dual SIM support.
Bye!
It's OK, I'm in no hurry. I will wait for a totally free alternative like for my ex p8 and p9 lite

Thank You very Much. I try today.
I can't use your file with TWRP.
I tried under TWRP to restore with the file
Don't work and brick the phone : only reboot in Erecovery Mode
Erecovery et Huawei Suite do not recognize the device
By luck device exchanged by operator Orange. I prefer to wait until the XDA community interferes with this model.
Deleted, error post.

Modified the oeminfo backup and inserted the above provided oeminfo WAS-LX1C432B102 by @harlock1987
Restored this modded oeminfo via twrp.
Downloaded the full rom C432 and tried to install via holding three buttons but it failed at 5%
Had to unlock the bootloader again, got relocked.
Restored the first original twrp backup and now the nfc is blinking
I've read a lot googling , got the concepts, know how to do it but I have a lot of points to study and it's not clear.
Can anyone help me out? Again, was lx1ac02b114 vodafone, need working dualsim and stable system. I'm from Spain.
Please, any help is much appreciated!! Just need someone to guide me in the right direction with the right files, that's all.
I need the telephone to work, so I will do some test when I'll be in holiday. The method to debrand P10 and P10plus use a modded recovery that probably solve the error at 5%, but I don't know how to create one.
I'm wondering if extracting the different partition from update.app using update extractor and then flash them through fastboot would work.
If you tipe *#*#2846579#*#* then you find a menu with SDcard upgrade, to force the update, but on a forum about P9 they said that the 3 part that you download with firmware finder should have been so:
/dload/UPDATE.APP
/dload/dt/default/update_data_dt_default.app
/dload/hw/eu/update_data_hw_eu.app
/dload/hw/normal/update_data_hw_normal.app
Click to collapse
but the data update only have a data directory and no update.app and the hw has both update.app and a data directory of 680 Mbyte full with programs.
Any suggestion?

I've extracted each files using huawei extractor.
As my my bootloader said it was unlocked but actually was relocked, any attempt to flash system img was giving error
Took me a while to realize the phone was lying about being unlocked and thought about reunlocking it again. But was too late and had to sleep.
Gonna flash system img via fastboot command later on and report here, hopefully we will manage to do it.
So if I restore those oeminfo files C432 I should flash a C432 rom aswell, right?
Would that be enough?

With HWOTA you can go back to stock Nougat ROM you had before installing Moonlight:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75787156&postcount=3
If you then need to rebrand to Vodafone, you can do it via Rollback - but you will need MM oeminfo for Vodafone cust:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72153575&postcount=2
Thanks but the second part shows how to get C432 not C02.. Can I use srk tool to do this after the hwota part? I have already downloaded the latest Vodafone rom (3 zips)..

As I wrote above, 2nd link points to the rebranding method but for rebranding you would need oeminfo for Vodafone cust, for Android 6 (at the point where the method points to c432 oeminfo).
The same method but to use different oeminfo with the corresponding Android 6 ZIPs for Vodafone.
AFAIK, you can't rebrand just with ZIPs, without flashing oeminfo - but I don't know where you can find oeminfo for Vodafone cust.
Btw, when rebranding from Vodafone to c432 you also had to flash c432 oeminfo, didn't you?
To see what you really have, you can check with the following commands in the Fastboot
Code:
fastboot oem get-product-model
fastboot getvar vendorcountry
fastboot oem get-build-number
fastboot oem oeminforead-SYSTEM_VERSION

Softbricked my P9 EVA-L19

I need to flash stock frimware on my EVA-L19 but I dont know the model number and I wiped /system what can I do?

MR v4 was based on b394, although it was possible to flash fron some lower and higher firmwaress. Also, I don't know what was the build number at that time for L19.
Do you remember was your cust c432 or something else?
You can try with HWOTA7, link below (skip the second part about rebrandibg to Chinese AL10 and upgrading to Oreo)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77161313&postcount=2
Try by flashing L19 c432 b394 although the method allows changing the cust and upgrading/downgrading

I tried to install MR v4 when my phone already was bootlooping so I dont think its reliable.
Is it a problem by just flashing alot of P9 firmware?
PS: You must download all three ZIPs for eg L19 c432 b394, to rename them as described. Dont use AL10 ZIPs as in the guide...

HWOTA7 allows rebranding and up/downgrading - all inside Nougat stock firmwares
But try to keep with firmware that was close to what you think you were running earlier and with the same cust (for the first step to unbrick)

Can I change from LLD-AL10 to LLD-L31 on a Honor 9 Lite?

Hi All,
I'm new here so please let me know if I've posted incorrectly.
I have a second hand Honor 9 Lite that I would like to use here in the UK.
It has LLD-AL10 (Build 9.1.0.130) EMUI 9.1.0 Android 9.
I think the 'firmware' I need for European is LLD-L31.
Firstly is it possible to change these base operating systems from one country/region to another please?
Secondly if it's possible and can be done ... how do I do it please?
It's a given to me handset with not data to worry about, factory reset unlocked handset.
It looks very nice and I didn't want to give up on it because I can not get the play store and standard gmail apps.
Many thanks in advance.

Yes, it is. You need :
1. downgrade to Oreo via HiSuite (process will erase all your data!)
2. unlock bootloader on your phone (you must downgrade to lower build number with google security patch from 04.2018.)
3. download fullOTA-MF Oreo firmware for region C432 from Firmware Finder
4. rebrand your device to C432 using tool "HWOTA8_LLD"
https://forum.xda-developers.com/9-lite/help/rebrand-honor-9-lite-chinese-frimware-t3739762/page3
Or, after bootloader unlocking, root your phone and simly flash Open-GAPPS via TWRP. (a simpler solution, IMO).

I'm going to try hard to understand these individual steps, there is nothing on the phone to worry about so that's a start. Hopefully I can find a way following your kind suggestion.

I've completed the first part after connecting through HiSuite and downgrading to AL10 8.0.0.189(C00)
Does the process cost? i.e. do I need to buy credits in these stages please?
Next is unlocking the boot loader and the lower build number with that 04.2018 security patch somehow?
Many thanks

Next is downgrading to the lower build number, You need to buy credits . You can try two firmware only, LLD-AL10 8.0.0.100(C00) or LLD-AL10 8.0.0.171(C00).
8.0.0.171 contains Google patch from 05.2018, but it's worth a try...

Extract the archive contents and follow instructions in "ReleaseDoc" .
