"unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped" when trying to mirror from Nexus 5

"unfortunately, Google Play Services has stopped" when trying to mirror from Nexus 5
Who all else having this problem? I've seen a few other people mention this problem as well. I'm on a stock rom, rooted. These are the steps I've taken so far to fix the issue, to no avail:
Rebooted phone
Rebooted Chromecast
Factory reset Chromecast
Fixed permissions
Uninstalled xposed
Tried the new experimental app to enable casting on other devices
Uninstalled Koushik's mirror app
Any other ideas? Also, I'm on the latest versions of Google Play store and the Chromecast app as well.

Same here dude kept on getting the error so I thought it must've been the ROM so I switched from 3 Roms and can say that that was not the issue. Can also use some help right now on the s4

I seem to be facing the exact same issue on the Nexus 5, unfortunately. I don't seem to see any workarounds for this

If you have tried all four versions of mirror enabler and it did t work, look in logcat and see if audio.r_submix loaded. If you don't see it, or see an error that it couldn't find or load that module, it is not baked into the rom. Contact rom maintainer and ask that it be added.

Its not working for me. i am getting unfortunately google play services has stopped. Any help would be appreciated

If you are getting this problem in your phone.
Then to solve this problem follow these steps
1- go to settings- apps
2- search for GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES
3- DISABLE THE APPLICATION
Then it will tell you to uninstall or disable the ANDROID MANAGER
Do it....
Now open any application in your phone which requires GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES
it will tell you to enable and update GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES do it.....
The problem is solved........

[Q] Deactivated xposed, can't reinstall

Hey everyone,
My phone is a OPO running build 44S.
The xposed installer has completely disappeared on my phone.
I first noticed that the app disappeared from my home screen, then after looking through my apps list, noticed it wasn't installed at all.
However, the /data/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/ folder still exists and all my modules are still functioning.
When I tried to reinstall it, I received the "app not installed" error message (probably due to the fact that all the files are still there).
Can anybody help me out? I suspect the issue might be that it had gotten disabled when I installed the 44S update, as mentioned in the FAQ.
Unfortunately, the FAQ only provides solutions for before you install a new ROM, not after xposed is already disabled.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried to find the app in your full list through the settings? You can enable it through there if it indeed is disabled. If you have Titanium Backup Pro, you can also unfreeze the app to use it again.

The app is not in the "full list". I checked out Titanium Backup Pro, and it seems like xposed and Greenify (I didn't even noticed that Greenify also disappeared) are there, but crossed out. When I click on it, the backup and restore buttons are greyed out, and the uninstall button does nothing.
I was curious about Greenify, so I tried reinstalling it from the Google Play store, but I was welcomed with a ""Unknown error code during application install '-110'". None of the fixes to clear my Google Play cache fixed this error either.
Anything else that I can try?

Seems like they got wiped out, but not fully. There are still data artifacts remaining, and preventing you from reinstalling...at least, so I think...
Have you rebooted since the problem, by the way?

Yeah, I've had this problem for a couple days now and have rebooted multiple times.

Can't login to Snapchat? Solved!

Hi everyone!
If you are using a Custom ROM such as CyanogenMod, and are trying to login to Snapchat, you may encounter this error:
"Oh no! Your login temporarily failed, so please try again later. If your login continues to fail, please visit support.snapchat.com/a/failed-login".
The reason why Snapchat won't let you login is because your device has root access, or Xposed Framework installed! Yes! You heard right! Snapchat now blocks devices with root access and Xposed installed!
SOLUTION 1: (CyanogenMod Only)
1. Go into "Settings" and find "Developer Options".
2. Then find "Root Access" and change it to "Disabled".
3. Now attempt to login to Snapchat!
4. Now, if your login was successful, you can now re-enable "Root Access" in "Developer Options".
5. Done!
NOTE: There seems to be a problem with Snapchat force closing on Marshmallow/CM13 Based ROM's, so if this happens to you, I'm sorry I do not know how to fix this, as far as I know, there is no fix for this issue.
SOLUTION 2:
1. Download Xposed Uninstaller.zip from here:

2. Boot your phone into recovery and flash the Xposed Uninstaller.zip
3. Reboot your phone
4. Done!
NOTE: Once you login to Snapchat, you can reinstall Xposed Framework and everything will work fine.

I can't find root access in my developer options

Hi Uzayr, Are you using CyanogenMod?

Yeah... It keeps force closing... I'm using a rom based on CM13... Is there any way to fix this. I log in, but it force closes itself after I open the app

This seems to be a known problem with Marshmallow/CM13, So as far as I know there is no fix available.

Hey! I have one problem with Snapchat, but I think I've found something that could help to fix it. As many people have noticed in other posts, Snapchat in CM13 based ROMs has FCs, but last night when I powered off WiFi and network conection Snapchat worked and then, when I powered on WIFI and network again, the FCs reappeared. Could it be this relevant to finding a solution? Can it have something to do with the bug of the camera? It happens every time I power off WIFI and network on my phone. Thanks!

Yeah me too ! I have uninstalled the Xposed Framework and also the Root Access but nothing happens ! Still the same problem !

Make sure Xposed Framework is completely uninstalled, then uninstall Snapchat, make sure that you do not have SuperSU installed, reboot your device and reinstall Snapchat and see if that works, thanks.

Ok so. I have an SM-G930FD (international GS7 exynos), with a custom ROM installed effectively making my phone a SM-N930F (or whatever the code is for Note 7 is) or in other words, it's a ROM that ports all the features of the Note 7 including the model number.
Ever since I installed this ROM I've been trying all sorts of things to bypass the Snapchat log in detection.
I first tried RootCloak.... It didn't work. So then I went on to research and found that Xposed may be the culprit. So, I uninstalled Xposed framework.... that too didn't work. Then I thought maybe it's the presence of the Xposed app on my phone..... Still "log in temporarily failed" .....
Finally, I uninstalled Root and the Super SU app..... and guess what.... it still doesn't work....
I even tried switching between the Standard Snapchat App and the Beta Snapchat App.... Still, doesn't work. :crying:
Is there any other way to make snapchat log in work without having to install the stock ROM for my phone? If there's nothing else, ill just assume its the ROM that triggers Snapchats log in protection.

Im using android 7.1

I use samsung galaxy note 5
MinotaurusRom V7 and Nemesis V2 Kernel
I uninstalled xposed framekwork and xposed application and the supersu and also uninstalled snapchat and still have this ***** login error ??

Have you made sure that XposedBridge.jar under /system/framework/ has been deleted? And make sure all files are also deleted from /sdcard/Android/data/de.robv.android.xposed.installer/files.

Hi everyone. I'm trying to run snapchat @CM13. If i disable camera permissions it logs in without problems, but every time i enable the camera Snapchat get force closed. Any idea? This happends with or without root anable

Most likely an RR bug. I deny it once and it never asks again unless I wipe Magisk manager data.

At first I was certain it was only one system app that's trying to gain root access so I wasted about an hour googling it trying to find a solution but after I wiped Magisk manager I found out it will ask for random system apps upon reboot, I couldn't find anything about this issue except this post, the weird thing that all of them is issuing setenforce 1 and on all of them list the FM radio app on their data usage for some reason.
Also I wanna avoid giving everything root access so I hope I can find a solution for this because I like RR and I don't want to switch to another rom.

Try denying it instead of granting it. Also, I think the bug is that it's the Settings app that's doing it (because of the SELinux switch) but the OS mistakes it as another system app, maybe they share the same system stuff) Idk, I'm not a dev. Sometimes when I monitor network activity anything the kernel does is showed up as FM Radio. If this doesn't make sense, I'm tired lol.

Thanks for answering, It's driving me crazy because I'm the type of guy that has to know what causing it but I've spent too much time on this already and this seems the only post I can find on this subject,maybe I need to master my Google fu or maybe it's rare because I'm pretty sure I didn't get this on my previous flash...
Anyway, I just saw that Lineage OS has finally been released officially for the redmi note 4 so I'm gonna give it a try, but because RR is mostly based on LOS I hope I'm not gonna get the same results.
Update: I've clean flashed the latest nightly of LinageOS ,GApps and Magisk(it doesn't come bundled) and so far I'm not getting strange root requests from system apps so like you said looks like it's a RR related bug, I'll try clean flashing RR again just to see if it will fix this, if not I will probably stick with LOS.

Did any of you guys enable the "suspend actions" in RR configuration settings?
I first had this happen a couple months ago and related it to the suspend actions. Makes sense right, since your radio is trying to switch itself to 2g?

No it doesn't.. I disabled the activity for the switch using my Android tools though, seems it did the trick.

Magisk Modules not working

Hi everyone,
I am pretty new to rooting, flashing, modding etc.
My problem is as follows:
I am on Pie 10.0.1.0PDIMIFJ, upgraded to it thanks to a guide in this forum.
After upgrading (bootloader has been unlocked beforehand of course) I got root through patched boot.img and Magisk Manager.
I did this in order to be able to gain some everyday treats such as Youtube background playing and especially V4A.
I could install these modules via Magisk, but they do not seem to work.
V4A is asking for driver installation everytime I reboot my phone, and I have to reboot after every driver installation.
This happens independently from the version of Viper I am trying to install.
After installing Youtube Vanced nothing changes. Playing stops when closing the app while a video is turned on.
I also tried a couple of other modules but none seems to be working.
I read somewhere that this could be connected to "SELinux permissive" something . I am sorry, I do not really know what that's about but maybe someone out there could give me a hint as to where I have to look.
I do not need a guide or anything, don't mind learning something on the way
Help would be greatly appreciated.

I am also experiencing the same issue, was able to install Viper and pixel Camera mod, then after no matter what module I install it does not show up in the app drawer atleast, I tried App systemizer , Cloudfare DNS and SF font.. nothing seems to work than the first installed two modules. Tried to install and remove them multiple times.
Cleared magisk cache
installed M<agisk from TWRP multiple times.
tried to install modules from TWRP as well.
I am so new to all these, please dont mind any mistakes.
