Is it possible to watch youtube tv using something like the CarStream app or any other way? Screen mirroring doesn't work very well for me. It stutters and freezes alot, to much to even use it. I'm using a Pioneer AVH-2330NEX. Thanks for any help.

Does Samsung Focus S has DLNAsupport? I know can't launch the AllShare Samsung app. I read mixed things on the internet. Can anyone confirm this please? This is really important to me. If it doesn't have DLNA support, then I will go buy a Titan, sigh!
i tried using all share last night, all share itself doesn't seem to work right. i can see my pc and my xbmc box in all share, but when i try to play to my pc, nothing happens (but i do have a lot of sharing things turned off). when i try to play to my xbmc box, whatever is currently playing will stop, but the media i play doesn't start.
i will play around more tonight when i get time.
DLNA to Samsung TV
Been using AllShare to play music, pictures, and video on my Samsung TV and surround sound processor since I got the device. It hanfs once in a while, but I am running custom firmware in my router, so not sure the fault source.
matt
i just installed/tried it right now.
I can play music from my phone to my receiver (denon avr-4810ic). Volume didn't work tho.
i use DLNA all the time from my desktop to my home theather setup. it is pretty sweet.
Streaming music or pictures over wifi to my lg 55lm620s works like a charm, but everytime i choose a video i recorded it says it cannot be played, error 714. The TV can handle mp4 hd videos easily, so that cant be the problem. Anyone here had the same issue?

Well, as I read on other forums the TV itself has problems with the edited mp4 files, (maybe thats the case here as well) but some mp4 files are played without any problem.
I would recommend you to update the TV's firmware; or try another TV if its possible... I bet one of your buddies has other kind of Smart TV (samsung maybe)
So I guess its your TV's limitation.
Sorry
The same on Samsung tv 40d6530 . Video not working. Picures and music work well. Anyway a workaround is Imediashare program.

oh so you have the dual sim... interesting I am not sure if theres any differences...but for example.. I have a SAMSUNG UE46ES6300 and its working just fine from the default gallery...:S
I had the HTC One X before and it worked pretty well, so it cant be the tv whos causing the trouble. TV and phone are both on the latest updates.

they are no differencies except dual sim, but video share to tv not working with any rom.
So i just tried Twonky Mobile and with that free app it works like a charm. Videos, Pictures and Music beam super fast to tv and also you can stream facebook videos directly from the facebook app to the tv.
So my dad has this love for playing movies on the TV with his new tablets. I told him he might as well buy the Chromecast because it will work wirelessly and he doesn't need to go across the room to pause and play (he had to use HDMI cables).
Anyway, I didn't know til we got the thing that mirroring is only supported on a small amount of devices. I got it to work on my phone because I'm fully rooted with a KitKat rom on my G2, which is actually a supported device. But my dad has a Hisense tablet running 4.2.2 (latest update). I'm a little nervous about breaking it to him that he actually can't stream movies from his favorite app or mirror his screen.
He uses the app Show Box, I'm sure a lot of people know about it. Its basically free movies. I was wondering if there was an app like MX Player that has Chromecast support. I.e. he can stream movies with this app, and the video player that is playing the movie can cast it.
Or if there is a workaround to mirror the screen on a 4.2.2 device, hopefully doesn't require root.
Our internet isn't too fast, so we're not too hip on downloading movies and having to wait forever to stream them locally. Unfortunately, that might be the best option though.
Thanks!

Found an app called Web Video Caster. Does exactly what I was looking for. When you play a video in an app, just choose the option.

Popcorn Time
When I or my girl leave the main TV room to use the restroom or feed the dog, etc, is there a method or a 3rd party app that will allow the casted app (Netflix or HBOGo mostly) to still play on the phone while also casting to the TV? This would avoid having to pause the show we're watching. FWIW, screen mirroring from the Chromecast app while watching Netflix locally on the phone... is way too laggy to be a viable solution.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Mirroring the screen is the only option I know of. You either cast or have to switching it from cast to on the phone.

The other main intention of streaming via CC, besides the big screen, was to let the phone idle during playback to save battery. But you can still stream thru the phone to tv with all the disadvantages.
I figured out how to enable screen casting but it only gives me the option for youtube app. Is there any movie player apps that work also? Is there a way to set it for everything?
To add, when I goto cast option in settings I see my neighbor's Roku and my laptop screen but not my tv. When I open the youtube app I only see my tv. It's an LG smart tv but maybe 2013 model
May your TV only supports miracast, which isn't working on nougat
Yes I think LG tvs are Miracast and the youtube app must be using Miracast. So maybe that's why only the youtube app works but nothing else
