Please help! "My Files" app 'Downloads' area corrupted - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Questions & Answers

For whatever reason, if I delete files from the "Downloads" section of the "My Files" app, these files (or references to them) aren't completely removed. A residual "0 byte" file with no name and a time date stamp of "December 31, 1969 4:00pm" is leftover. Also, these residual files can't be moved or deleted.
This Downloads section seems to have a relation to the /emulated/0/Download/ folder... although, not the same thing. If I delete the "Download" folder, the "Downloads" section remains unaffected.
In the Windows OS world, I would just run chkdsk to quickly fix the corrupted file indexes on the file system. However, I'm not sure what the equivalent is for an unrooted Android OS.
Things I've tried:
Wipe the cache partition
Delete the /emulated/o/download folder and recreating it again.
Force Stopping the My Files app, clear cache.. clear data.
I REALLY don't want to factory reset my phone, considering how much time I spent configuring all my applications... unless I have absolutely no choice (and know for sure it would fix this issue). This issue is completely over my head. I'm hoping an Android expert will know what to do in this case without having to do a factory reset. Maybe, I can do something via ADB shell?
On non-Samsung phones, (standard on Android OS) people can clear the "app cache" for the "Media Storage" app; and, reboot for files to be re-scanned/indexed. However, I can't find that app on my Note 9. What's the equivalent of doing this on Samsung phones?

Try Media Scanner app from G play store to clear media cache. Did you try some other file manager?

The problem is I don't know where Samsung's "My files" stores it's "Downloads" area. The Media Scanner app had no effect in this area. If I download another file manager, I still won't know where to look for "Downloads". The emulated/0/download folder isn't the same thing, unfortunately. That's the only place I know to look.

This is a first, simple, beta. But it should still work.
It is already included in ROM [Froyo] DJ DROID v1.0-R1 BETA - with HTC Sense - HD 720p - base 2.04.
Requirements:
root
froyo
USB debugging (Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage Applications -> Developement -> Check USB debugging. Thx pexon).

not certain, give feedback.
I tested with google skymaps because i know it likes to install to sd with froyo. So I set it to install to internal memory before installing skymaps and it still installed to sd. Although it did open up the option to move to phone in application settings and that worked!!
I dont think that option worked before installing this app. Could be wrong
I tried the tool also.
After setting the option to install to SD I installed the IMDB tool and PicSay.
Both gave the error 'Application was not installed'. When I switched it to internal memory, they installed just fine.
However I don't see the option to move a program. I'm looking in Settings>Application settings>Manage applications and then selecting a tool. The 'Move to SD card' is not available, not for the old tools I installed as for the both tools I did after installing this setinstalllocation tool.
Any bright ideas?
The SD card is formatted with several partitions to make it all run so I don't know why it won't work.
by default isnt the .apk designed to install in certain locations either NAND or SD. depending on where the programmer desires to have it put?
I've been using this for some weeks and it's just great.

Can you give any examples of programs you used it for and to which location you moved it?

[GUIDE]How to get Play Music back!

OK, something that can happen when you install a custom rom that the music player has changed to "apollo" or something else.
So lets restore the old music app back!
Before we start remove all the thing you tried before please...
First thing you need to do is disable (or remove) the old music player.
So go to Setting --> Apps --> everything. And Click on the music player for disabling.

Now download the App.
Place it in the root of your nexus 7.
Brows with a file explorer (with root access) to "/SDCARD" and copy your file to "/SYSTEM/APP"Note: If you can not copy please make sure your system is mounted Read-write.
To make sure it is mounted RW do "adb shell mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock3 /system" in your console.
Or if you use root explorer there is a small button with R/W that you can press.
Fix your permissions RW--R--R
And Reboot.

Because not everybody lives in the UK or USA. In Belgium we don't have access to that application. And if i use a market-enabler the app does not work good.

? Strange Are you sure that you placed it in system/apps and that the permissions are correct. Normally you will get a message "Android is updating..." after reboot.

You need to set registry keys to get this work
I don't know about your phone software drivers and specifications . Surely other developers may don't know
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\services\WiFiConnSvc\Parameters\Config]
"EnableStaticIP"=dword:1

Also you know how to set it in Lava Iris win1 ???
I've never even heard of your phone model. If you can pull some manufacturer apps for me, though, I may be able to find a way. Here's what I need:
Any .XAP files included in the file system, if possible. (Use the Filesystem browser of my webserver app to look, especially in the \Windows and \Windows\System32 folders)
Any Store apps from your OEM. (If your phone's Store app has a dedicated section under Categories - something like "HTC Apps" or "Lumia Collection" - I can check those)
Any OEM apps you can get off the phone directly. (Easiest way, if you have an SD card, is to use Storage Sense to move the OEM apps to the SD card, then unlock the WPSystem folder and use something like Aerize Explorer to copy the apps out)
Does the phone launch anything interesting if you try to call numbers like ##634# (MFG) or ##3424# (DIAG)?
Alternatively, if your phone has an SD card, you can probably use the chamber hijacking techniques and replace an app like Preview for Developers; there's a registry editor app on the store (Root Tools) that uses this technique. I think the key you're trying to write to is one of the ones that P4D's chamber has write access to.

System App Installation Issue (My Files)

I wasn't thinking straight, and for some reason I tried installing the My Files app from the Galaxy S5 because I find it more better than the one in the Galaxy S6. In order to do this, I backed up the stock Galaxy S6 My Files app (/system/priv-app/SecMyFiles2015/), including the odex files. After that, I deleted those files then put the My Files app from the Galaxy S5 there. Then I rebooted my phone, and expected it to work for some reason. Obviously after I rebooted it, it didn't work. Since it was late at night, I left it at that. The next day after I realized why it wouldn't work, I began to attempt to restore the Galaxy S6 My Files app. I've tried several different methods, and none have worked yet. I researched this issue too, and all of the solutions which have worked for others in the past don't seem to be working for me.
Methods I've attempted so far, which haven't worked:
Copy the My Files app + odex files into "/system/priv-app/SecMyFiles2015/", set correct permissions, and reboot
Copy the My Files app into "/system/priv-app/SecMyFiles2015/", set correct permissions, and reboot
Copy the My Files app into "/system/app", set correct permissions, and reboot
Restore through Titanium Backup, as I backed this app up through this app before getting rid of it (TB just hangs when I initiate the restore process)
Installing the app through android's package installer
I attempted many other methods too, however I can't remember them right now. If I remember them, I'll add it to the list.
If someone could help me out with this issue, that would be great! Thanks in advance guys!
Bump! I would appreciate it if someone could help me out! I also obtained a screenshot of an error from logcat, which occurs when I start the app up.

since 5.0 for example the restore of system apps with titanium seems to be impossible, it won't work...

[question] After installing framework my phone gives " insufficient store place" erro

[question] After installing framework my phone gives " insufficient store place" erro
Dear Xposed framework users;
I have turkcell T60 a modified phone of ZTE BLADE S6 that runs android 5.0.2.
I root my device with kingroot than I install xposed framework. But immediatly after I restart my telephone it says "insufficient store place" . I have 10 gb internal and 3 gb external storage place.
I can download apps from internet but while I am installing it it makes an error. If I use google store to download them, immediately after downloading is makes error 504.
As far as I have learned it. After installing framework on my phone it blocks my phone's storage excess so there is some explanations for samsungs such as deleting some documents from data but not for my phone.
Does any one can help me to fix my problem?
Thanks for helping
Have you tried it with a different SuperUser/root app ?

Root doesnt make a problem. Problem occours after xposed framework.
True but your running out of space, supersu frees up some memory during installation.
You just need to uninstall/move to user a few system apps (suggestions include keyboard languages and google apps like youtube or hangouts which can be gotten from playstore
but guys I dont have storage problem. I have 10gb free storage place. eventhough I have place my phone says not enough place it is lover than 250 mb. Deleting apps isnt change the situtation
System drive is not user drive you have 10GB in user. System is where your ROM lives.

Top listing is where space is needed that the error is talking about; bottom is what you mean when you have 10GB
