Hi guys, there seem to be a couple of people with the same problem I am experiencing with the update to 5.1 on the XT1092 with EU roms.
I orignally was running on the UK ROM but due to an issue I flashed the EU rom onto the phone.
Im now stuck with; 22.21.19.victara_reteu.reteuall.en.EU retgb and whenever i try and do an update it says my software is up to date. I need the OTA link to update to 22.121.19.
Does anyone have a link for this ~12MB OTA anywhere? You'd be helping a lot of us out!
Update: I am flashing the GB Rom back to my XT1092 using the guide found here;

I'm in the exact same situation.
Android Version: 5.0
System version: 22.21.19.victara_reteu.reteuall.en.EU.retgb
Build number: LXE22.46-19
I can't update because I can't get my hands on the update to 22.121.19. I can't find it anywhere.
Find the 5.0 XT1092 GB ROM on the link below, download and flash it so you're back on the right version (22.21.19.victara_retgb.retgball.en.GB). When you do you'll be able to download that small 12MB update from 'system udpates'.

I'm going to try that, I'll report back to this thread when I'm done, at least 4h from now, as FileFactory uploads at 70KB/s.

Doing god's work, thanks!
I'll come back and say if this worked in 20 minutes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit:
I got the small 12MB update now, step 1/2 successful!
Now we just have to wait for the 5.1 OTA for retgb I guess.
Thank you to Stylus_XL and thefunkydonkey for your help!

Thanks for posting it so nicely, mate.
Thanks, I have moved back to the UK rom now too. Hopefully we will get the 5.1 update soon.
What I don't understand is when we changed over to the EU version why that disabled our OTA updates.
Yeah, I havnt seen anyone explain why it happens. Its very odd, let me know if you are getting OTAs after flashing the UK rom, I havnt done it yet as It took about 4 hours last night to download the UK image.
Hi,
I saw your post. Id love to have the small ota zip, thanks!

The phone introduces itself as retGB, we'll never get OTA notifications while we are on retEU. It's better to return to retGB even if for that locale 5.1 is not yet available.

Thanks for your reply. Please could you elaborate? not sure I understand what you mean by "introduces itself as retgb.
I had previously thought the reason I did not receive updates is because my phone is rooted. What I should have done was unroot while on the EU rom to test if i got a 12mb OTA. aleckz999 if you are still on the EU rom maybe you should try that first?
Now that I am back on the UK rom i have rooted my phone while I wait for 5.1. When I see reports on here that 5.1 is rolling out in the UK will see if i get the OTA and if not unroot to see if I get it.
I have an unlocked bootloader and havn't rooted, still don't recieve the OTAs on the EU rom.
Does anyone have the instructions with the apps that I need to flash the ROM back to GB? I havnt done this for 7 months and I am struggling to find mfastboot

I'm running into this exact same issue. received my phone a few days ago and it gives the "not found" error when trying to download the update.

It says it's trying to download: "BLU_R0010UU_V7.4.2_GENERIC_6.0_20161109-1343"
Does anyone have the update file for this so i can do a local update?

I did check the guide, and that firmware/OTA post.
If you had actually checked the OTA links, you'd see that the needed update isn't there. The last OTA available to download from the guide is 6.6, which i'm already on.
I've sent in a ticket through the update app and hopefully they'll reply soon.

Honestly, you are here on XDA a developers site. I would have thought you would be happy to have the updates not working since you can just load custom recovery and flash roms made available from community.

You'd think that!
Truth is, I couldn't find a single mention of this issue anywhere online, except here.
I've rooted phones before (using guides from XDA even), but i'm not in a position to load custom firmware on this particular phone. I'm using it as a cheap work-phone and the company i work for explicitly require the device not to be rooted or the OS modified in any unofficial way unless needed for development. But XDA is a good resource for finding stock images and is the most active online resource I trust when it comes to android phones.
I contacted Blu and they told me to delete the app data but it still didn't work for me. Also my update is V7.4.2

There are some updates "captured" from other users posted in the forum. Up to v6.6 is listed in the index , linked already.
This link is for update from 7.4.2 up to 8.3
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72128380&postcount=2
and here too (same 7.4.2 to 8.3)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=72146824&postcount=37
But if the OTA app is not working maybe there is something else wrong.
Do you have sdcard installed? (shouldn't mater but if so try removing it)
Are you connected to wifi?
Maybe Blu is blocking updates because they had posted that roll back.

Don't use Odin with that firmware. That's not for your device. That's for N960F. Yours is N960U. I believe you have the snapdragon version. This firmware is for the exynos model. Please be careful not to brick your phone. Always properly read the instructions and thread titles.
Maybe someone else can help you with the snapdragon pie version as I own the exynos model. Good luck.
That xda link you posted is also for N960F. Be careful.

The beta is closed now. And there's no reason to start a whole new thread. There's already a out four threads talking about installing the beta on Snapdragon devices. Use the search bar. Read those threads. If you can't find your answers, then you can ask questions in a pre-existing thread. Although considering the EXACT steps you need to take to install the beta have been spelled out several times (many time by me in various threads), you will find your answers if you take time to look for them.
Honestly though, and I'm genuinely not trying to be mean, but if you have not researched enough to know what version of trh Note 9 you have, or the differences in the versions of the Note 9 or consequences of flashing the wrong firmware, then playing around ODIN is not for you. You need to do some reading and research before you irreversibly brick your thousand dollar phone.

I'm thinking about trying out the Pie Beta and wanted to try this.
It looks like you're using odin to flash the phone to a firmware thats compatible with the beta update, and than using the traditional update method to actually update to Pie.
I'm really nervous about doing this since I can't find original versions of my firmware (Meaning I can't go back), did everything still work for you? My understanding is that the feature you might lose is Wifi calling, which is an important reason why Xfinitity is so much cheaper.
If you download and run Phone INFO by *Samsung* (Not quotes, stars), does it say your CSC code is CCT?
Thanks

Hello XDA Fam, I've come to you for help.
Before it is asked, I did search around forums/threads but I really do have a hard time navigating around this site. And from what I seen there was no answers that I needed. Currently my Moto X4 XT1900-7 which I believe is on a factory image, no longer connects to my carrier. It is able to tell me the actual carrier but that's about it. The reason why I ask is because I'm on a completely stock image that's been updated via OTA.
I believe I lost my IMEI, carrier connection ( call it what you will) and orientation ( when you rotate your phone) after flashing this rom https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x4/development/rom-pixel-experience-t3876195.
Since then I've been lost. Please if anyone has a recent up to date fix for this I'd be very keen to hear from you.
I've heard of injecting the IMEI, and tried but some guide I followed on XDA was unclear. And I'm not even sure if it would fix anything .. So again if you have a clear up to date guide on this, I'd be very appreciative.
Thankyou for your time to read through. Any info you may need I can try and provide. I hope that I haven't upset anyone with posting this in the wrong section. Or the fact that it's been asked before. If so you could attach a link for me to follow
Which ROM are currently on? Stock or any other? Also give your device model name(eg. XT1900-2 in my case)
-----EDIT-----
Sorry didn't read the whole problem. What is Device Model? (XT1900-2,XT1900-4,XT1900-7)
Did you try flashing the Stock ROM again? If not, grab one from this link - https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/payton/official/RETAIL/

You can try doing -
Flashing the firmware again(stock), then try locking and unlocking the bootloader again, then, installing PE or HavocOS or any other ROM you like.
Just give it a try!

Cheers for the quick replys. Is the rom part necessary after locking/unlocking bootloader?

Yeah I suppose
The moto g4/g4 plus suffer from a similar issue. Couple threads from their xda forum. Seems some can solve it and some can't.
