Hello everyone! I shot a video tutorial on how to record timelapse in 4K resolution through app Footej Camera on any Huawei / Honor phone that has a 4K resolution on a normal video mode - in timelapse mode with stock app is only HD resolution.
Tested on Honor 9 with Android 8.0.0 with Footej Camera app.
There is YouTube link to my video guide:

Footej camera download link:

Can anyone please test, if it works on Honor 10 View?
Thanks for reading, if you have any questions, please write comments below.
Will give it a try, Thanks buddy
I have installed the program from PlayMarket on my V10.
The TimeLapse option is not available.
Which app can record 4k video with electronic image stabilization? what is the best, prooven method to record videos with eis. 4k resolution is important to me...not fullhd
I have tried Open camera, (which doesnt have 4k mode when camera2api enabled)
gcam wont record 4k...i have tried min. 50 ports of them from celsoazevedo.com
footej camera zoom in video in 4k mode, i am suspicious about its stabilization
ultracorder has eis...is okay only for slow motion, beacuse focus is awfull
SnapCam HDR....lot of noise
so guys, please advice, prooven method to record 4k with EIS.
PS. I am currently on Havoc Rom...:good:
I don't think A2 can record 4k video with EIS enabled.. Because as far as I know this phone only capable to record 1080p 30fps/60fps with EIS enabled..

You are not right, when using stock rom without camera2 api enabled, you can use EIS on 4K with Open Camera, and it is really stable... Problem is how to use EIS when camera2 api is enabled, because of that you loose 4K option in open camera. I am using Snap Camera HDR for now, and for good lighting conditions it is more than good 4K +EIS. You just need to turn down sharpness and you will be noise free...

Can you provide me more detail please... Because I just know about EIS on 1080p... By the way I'm on Pixel Experience rom with camera2 api enabled..
Try Cinema Fv-5 app, it can record 4k with EIS. You can use the app without root or camera2 API enabled. You can also control the focus, White balance, exposure, ISO, and some more. Just go into settings (in the app) and click on video icon, then select 'Show extended video resolution'.
Just got updated to pie last night. This morning while I was testing camera settings, I noticed that video stabilization is missing in the default camera app settings. in Oreo, I can stabilize videos (except 4k and 16:9), but now, it's simply missing. And test shots confirmed that there is no stabilization (optical or what so ever) anymore. That just sucks. It was very useful to take videos of my kids playing while running after them. Now without it, all the videos gonna be garbage.
Any idea how to fix it? or just simply accept it as it is?
You've got stabilisation in 1080P FHD enabled by default. There is no option for stabilisation because it's enabled by default in supported resolutions.

Which makes is quite useless for pro use with a gimbal or other situations where you want stabilisation off. Great camera hardware by Sony, lousy software to control it by Huawei.
When you dont want ois and want use gimbal, then use another resolution
4k example

This was my thought too at first. Then I tried Full-HD 30 FPS with my gimbal and it works fine! Also FHD 60FPS and 4K work too, as expected.

? Not doable due to after processing constraints.
I'm still on Oreo, I just extracted the Huawei Camera APK with APK Extractor Lite. Can someone on Android Pie try to install the old camera apk (if installing is successful) and look if stabilisation is working again?

Ois works for 1080p 30 fps / 16:9 only.
It works in:
- 720p 30fps
- 1080p 30fps (both 16:9 and 18:9)
There is a workaround, if you want to shut it off. Go to video mode ( not pro mode), turn on beautification. The OIS stopped working, but you're stuck at 720p 30fps.

I think it is the EIS (software stabilization) because the OIS is built into the lens, it seems to work in all resolutions.
The EIS crops the video a bit, and tries to reframe it to cancel harsh movement. But it compensates (in my P10 phone at least, which model seems also affected with the bug) to wrong direction turned 90 degree. If You move up-down, it compensates left-right for me, causing more fake shake recorded.
Hello! So reading this feed, it sounds as though the stabilisation is still working for the Huawei P20 Pro cam, but just the option to turn this on and off has recently disappeared. Weird. Why would Huawei do this? Is the stabilisation definitely still working on all resolutions barring 40? My eyes suggest otherwise.
Hi, In the camera settings I can't lock the video to be 4K 60 fps, it lately just switch back to 30 fps and it is really frustrating. Do you know I can report this problem to Realme or solution to stick to 60 fps? Thanks!
I tested on mine and it does lock 4K with 60 fps, but not when you have video stabilisation on.
It will automatically switch back to 1080p. I can't seem to replicate your problem. Perhaps you can test it with another app (most people like GCam as an alternative) and see if it is just in the default app doing that.
Also, which version of the phone are you using, CN or EU? And are you on the latest ColourOS (XXXX11_A.12)?

It's stay on 60 fps for awhile but like after some time. Maybe they kill all camera activities it switch to 4K 30fps. Yeah, I want to use default camera. GCam is good for photo, but the video is trash. I have EU, latest is A.12?? Can you give me link? I only know that the last one is https://www.realme.com/in/support/software-update RMX1931EX_11_A.07.
Thanks for reply btw.
I have the exact same problem, I think it is a China ROM problem. I think a bought a beautiful smartphone, but China rom sucks.
Well, I have eu version. So, it's not only cn problem. But I believe they will fix it in Coloros 7.
Hi, this is my first post, i bought 11T Pro few days ago and noticed problem that HDR doesn't work on YouTube videos (which has this option). The colors are faded, and brightness does not change. But WHEN I ROTATE THE PHONE HDR ENABLE AND WORK FOR 0,1sec, then goes out...
I did a hard reset and HDR worked for 5 min.. brightness were changing and the colors were deep. But when i play next video (not changing any settings) HDR stopped working. I try reinstall YT app, without changes. Please help, it's very annoing..
MIUI 13.0.20
edit 1. Just a moment ago i discovered that HDR work fine when i press (up or down) Volume Button, but when sound level goes out the HDR stopped working. Any ideas?
edit 2. I found on reddit info that disabled HW overlays may help. And it worked for a while...
Fact: after reboot and first launch of YT everything works perfectly, however when I exit YouTube, lock the screen and enters back YT it not working and the colors are washed out. Only again reboot helps at this point. does anyone have ideas? can you check it on your devices?
The video which i use:
This is happening not only in YT, also Netflix. I tried to find some solutions but for now the only one is disabled HW and watching movies. Miui 13.0.7 xiaomi.eu on *.0.6 problem also existed.
But this video from your link works fine for me but Netflix not.
I agree netflix works properly after disable that option, but YouTube works as it wants. One time I turn on and it's fine but other time HDR on youtube doesn't work. I don't know what it depends on. Does anybody have an idea?
ps. sory for bad english, i am using a translator
