Moto Z3 Play Treble GSI ROMS

We know that Moto Z3 Play is compatible with Treble.
I use more than 10 hours, going and coming back, reseting, etc. and could not make it work.
Until now, I'm following the steps bellow and wish to discuss what we can do to get a custom roms.
I've tested HAVOC - ARROW A/B arm64 images from here and follow the general guidance from here.
I'm using XT1929-5 model

hello I install the latest release of havoc 2.0 2018/10 /27 And it works well with some bugs, I also tried pixel experience treble ROM but the last release does not work gestures or audio via Bluetooth All moto functions stop working including the moto mods

Can this work on a Sprint model

I'm using the Havoc GSI with Gapps (first link) since sunday and it is mostly great. Very fast and battery efficient.
I only have some audio issues, where some apps have it cropped/crackled. And bluetooth audio is not working.

how can i mount twrp with vendor fix ? also im getting error on mount /data and storage, please help i got xt1929-6

I had to delete the folder "/vendor/lib/soundfx".
Had to do it via TWRP as I wasn't rooted, but if you are you can do it with any root explorer app.

Yes, it is. The only thing is that Moto Mods are not supported, but that's understandable.

if someone can provide me with the moto mod frameworks and libs i can try to see if i can get it to work in the rom

[GSI] Android 10

Hi I tried, some GSIs including PHH's and Erfan's (Pixel,Generic and Oxygen). All booted expect Oxygen but each one had its fair share of problems.
Erfan :
Everything works except
Fingerprint
MTP
Lock features like pin, password, pattern
Vibration
PHH:
No sound but phone call is fine
MTP
Torch light
Phh has no sound and torch but erfan's has it. And phh has fingerprint but erfan doesn't.
Both have one common problem
First boot is fine but from second boot, it boots upto lockscreen and starts looping.
Please help me solve it.

Thank You for that but that zip messes up fingerprint for stock ROM.
Tried Phh's gsi almost all's fixed but would love if you could port Samsung Camera app to AOSP ROMs.

I tried the latest phh GSI AOSP 10.0 v206 and most of the previously mentioned bugs are fixed.
Only things left are ability to use Wide angle Camera and fingerprint seems buggy. It works for a while and then stops working all of a sudden. Strangely works again when the data of Settings apps is cleared and the cycle repeats itself.

Stable GSI Rom for A6 2018 (A600G)

So after Trying different PIE GSIs, I Found a less buggy GSI rom. It's "RR-P-v7.0.3-20191112-A64-A.img" that i found on @turbolukex5 thread on this link. https://forum.xda-developers.com/pr...iscussion/gsi-expressluke-built-gsis-t4003457
basically i tested camera, BT,in call audio, Fingerprint and Mobile Hotspot. So far they work pretty nice. The only thing that doesn't work as of now is the MTP. So you need to reboot to TWRP to transfer files on storage.
If this thread is prohibited, kindly remove it. I just want to share what i found today. Thank you.

Yes. It will definitely work on any Device that is treble Enabled. You just need to find the Correct vendor for your device. :highfive:

Thanks. I will try and report here later. As of now the only bug i got is the Camera when using flash. The shutter is not synced with the flash. You will get a dark photo when taking at night.

That's basically a bug which is present in almost every GSI. Use footej/open camera from play store instead. Those will also give you back some of the manual controls if you are into that sorta thing.

I already tried the kernel. I got a working MTP after reboot(bare bones, no GApps). But when i install GApps(Aroma) the rom is very sluggish and FP was broken during setup. So i did not finish the setup and i quickly reverted to stock. ?

Not sure but the guy who compiled that kernel said not to use magisk it breaks too many stuff.

I did not used magisk on setup. This are my steps:
-Flashed GSI
-Flashed Kraken kernel
-rebooted and did factory reset
-Resized the system to flash GApps.
-flashed GApps aroma.
And the phone is already sluggish. Any thoughts bro?

I don't have that device. But u can use CPU info or CPU Z and Treble check to know what variant is for you.

Would help you out much better if you could come at our telegram. But for now try doing everything first and reserve flashing kraken as last step also factory reset is unnecessary.

Android 10 Derpfest ROM 10-Official-cepheus-20200105 comparing to other ROMs

Hi Mi9 users
I've tried Derpfest ROM for cepheus and it's running since 2 days really good.
I've flashed dirty (only deleting cache dalvik system) over extendedui 1 with directly restart recovery and installed magisk 20.4
Very good settings in derpquest app. Doze activities can be adjusted, torch on pressing power button while screen off.......
Apps which are not using full screen can adjusted skaled to full screen!
SOT seems to be good and would be more then 6 hours with some adjustments.

I think not
Why is it important for you?
For me it's useless if all is running smoothly with a good standby and good SOT. Over night around 1% battery consumption.

I never used that before 1 month ago in another rom. After that I realized that important for me to block nlpCollector wakelock that improve standby time in my usage.
In my experience by disabling google location accuracy service can much reduce nlpCollector, but some apps force me to activate location service. So it rather important for me.

Further more it mustn't implemented in a ROM, it's possible with:

Best is to make a clean flash with same procedure as extended ui. It should be ok if you flashing xiaomi.eu and then dirty flash derpfest

I didn't have these probs.
Which ROM you're coming from?
Try to delete all fingerprints and all security options like pin..
Restart twrp delete cache dalvik reboot and try to setup again.

When I use miui everything works fine, but on a custom Rom like evolution x my mic is really bad and nobody can understand me for example on Snapchat or whatsapp video calls. Can anyone help me fix my problem because I don’t want to use miui

now it’s a bit better but not like miui and I mean that the mic can’t be getting worse with custom Rom

Didn't try the magisk module, since I don't want my phone rooted now. Tried flashing from TWRP and did not work. Is this the only way?

Yes via magisk, or flashing another ROM

But if I have to flash magisk, then also I have to wipe and flash the ROM with that right?

Normally not.

Ooh. My device seems to mount the /data partition (for flashing) only after reformatting it every time. Otherwise it just shows 0 Mb.

Then you didn't have the newest TWRP or orange fox?
