Screen size on andriod goes very small... - Android Auto General

Hey guys
I have currently rooted my galaxy s7 with magisk and using AAmirror to mirror my screen to headunit in my car, but have an annoying issue where the icons go very small and screen goes off center. Only way to solve this is to disconnect and reboot phone as phone doesnt revert back to original screen.
Basically I can't connect phone to mirror without icon going tiny and off center.
Any suggestions?

Touch screen problem
Hi,
Were you able to solve your problem?
Im having the exact same problem with a friends phone.
are you using a custom ROM by chance? More specifically, Cyanogen Mod 7 has a "tablet tweak" settings menu that allows you to use "dead zones" on the screen. If that's not the case I would check with your provider or place you purchased it from and see if they can help point you in the right direction.

The phone was on stock rom, chaned it to see if problem would go. Still same.
I live in Bolivia, so it will be a bit hard to get support.

[Q] cm-10.2-20131111-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip

Hello,
I am not sure I am in the right spot or forum but I am running cm-10.2-20131111-NIGHTLY-ovation.zip on a Nook HD+ and it is running beautiful but, at times the entire device locks up. This happens on the lock screen and when swiped you just see a flash of the home page then right back to lock screen. Will not allow entry. Happens when the device sits even for only a few minutes. Need to reboot to get back in. Then works fine, let it go to lock screen (will not allow entry). Anyone else having the problem? Right now I have the lock screen turned off and appears to be running fine. Happened with original install and now two of the nightlies.

Usually that is caused by your case with a magnet in it. If you have that, open the case twice before attempting to swipe.

c6506 screen problem

hi everyone,
i have had me xperia zl fo about 9 months, now i noticed that the screen would turn off while i was doing something on the phone. Then when I tried to turn the screen back on the screen would turn on but no picture just a black blank screen. I can tell the phone is still on because when I connect it to pc it connects and shows my files on the phone also there is sound coming from the phone and when i touch the screen i can tell the touchsceen works cause it gives feedback. Sometimes after trying on and off with the power button the screen shows a picture.
One weird thing I noticed is that if I put a little bit of pressure on the back of the phone, in the top right corner where the usb plug is, the screen goes all weird with lines, discolored and turns off.
I am wondering if anyone has this problem or input on how i can fix it it would be greatly appriciated.
i can make a video if anyone wants to see a visual.
This is the Xperia Z section. You need the ZL Q&A section, which is here. ?

Using phone and android auto at the same time?

I've noticed that when Android Auto is enabled unlocking the phone leads to a black android auto screen and the home button is disabled. I've also found that engaging a notification can bypass this android screen and allow android auto and the app on the phone to be used at the same time. I'm wondering if there is a way to allow the phone to be used without the workaround so my passenger can use the phone while android auto is enabled.

Nope. They do that as a safety feature assuming that the driver is picking up the phone. Only other way around it is to unplug the phone from Android Auto, have your passenger use it, and then plug it back in again.

That's what I do now, anyway to override the settings so when I press home it goes to home?
I just switched to an S8 after breaking my S7. With the s7 i was always able to hit the hard recent button on the left to switch to using the phone while android auto was running. The S8 has soft keys and while i am not sure that has anything to do with it i have been unable to use the phone while android auto is running. No matter what buttons I try I end up at the black android auto screen. Anyone find a way around this? I ave noticed that the poweramp lockscreen makes it possible but i am not always using poweramp, and it need to be running before i have android auto running.

When typing screen constantly turns on in Dex mode.

Hi everyone! I just picked up a Samsung Dex station for cheap, and I really like it but I'm finding that I'm having a simple issue. Every time my keyboard goes into a text field, my phone's screen turns on. I have tried this with the default Samsung keyboard and also SwiftKey keyboard, which is my personal favorite. It just turns on the screen and I have to turn it off again. But this happens every time I go into a text field!
Is there anything I can do to fix this?
EDIT: So if I leave the screen on as Dexpad, it dims the screen a lot and I can see the words at the bottom of the screen. But is this all right? There are some things on the screen that are constantly there. Is this going to be bad for my phone in the long run if I end up using Dex a lot?
Thanks.
